They advertised a Galaxy A23 phone they sent a TCL30z of which I've used this model before the phone had to be replaced 2x & I had to buy 5 separate sim cards. I called & explained to 3 separate ppl I received rudeness no acceptance of fault on them & they refused to replace the phone. They do not care they did not have a disclaimer stating they might send a different phone never reached out to inform now I have to pay to send that piece of crap back at my expense on a limited income they're ridiculous & totally uncaring when they're in the wrong it's totally called misrepresentation or false advertising. Approximately one week ago I went shopping at my usual 99 cent store and was intercepted by representatives of Safelink Internet before entering the store. I was asked if I was a recipient of MediCal/Medicare services to which I answered yes. I was asked if I wanted to qualify for a free phone and a tablet to which I also said yes. I was asked for my California ID and my Medi Cal card which I provided. After about ten minutes I was told that I qualified for the phone but not the tablet. I asked why I did not qualify for the tablet. The representative said "I don't know. Maybe the company was down when I called. But you can purchase the tablet for $50.00 right now." My significant other said that it was a good deal, and shelled out 50.00 on the spot. The Safelink representative shoved the money into his front pocket, gave us the tablet and sent us on our way without any paperwork or signatures. I spent the better part of my career working in the public sector and I know that public programs are all evaluated on numbers, not cash. I just wanted the mobile carrier to know that their Safelink representatives are telling qualified individuals that they do not qualify for services when they do, and then selling the merchandise and pocketing the cash. read more

Safelink/Anthom are terrible internet service providers. They have hardware connection issues that result in 50% packet loss and rather than replace the broken hardware they "claim" it is a different external network point creating the problem. Issue is that the IP address is an internal private IP range address that is reserved for their internal structure. If your tech guys cannot figure it out, fire them and hire better ones. read more

When I called I told them I would be moving within 6 months and would there be a penalty. They said no. When I moved they charged me $90. I had they play phone call which I had the date of. They confirmed the sales person said there would be no penalty. Safelink refused to reverse the charges. A month after disconnect I got this message: Your network equipment is now communicating with the Safelink Internet Cloud. This notice requires no further action. Regards, Safelink Internet They had given the router to someone else who was now online under my name, using my information, all of my emails, all of any accounts I used the internet with. I called and they confirmed yes the router was never erased and yes they had all my personal information if they logged onto the internet and passwords, and could get into my Safelink account as well. They erased the router over the internet, finally closed my file and account, which was not. Told me they erased my file. I do not trust them. They are a small operations and they make huge mistakes. I have phone records showing that I called 6 times and emails that i sent 8 times asking for my problem to be fixed. They never once, in all of the months of me asking for help, fixed the issue. Now that I cancelled they are LYING and claiming they tried to fix it and I declined. LOL. Hope they realize I have proof they are lying. I started using Safelink in March due to being changed to work from home / covid 19. I was extremely clear with them at the beginning that i need RELIABLE INTERNET CONNECTION. I do technical support for an international company. I have a think box with a headset that I use to receive tech support call (not a VOIP). From the beginning I have had issues. The service would drop over and over, which would make my calls drop. I had sometimes up to 15 calls day be lost while trying to perform support. I changed to a larger internet package, and that did nothing. I called and chatted with them at least a dozen time asking for this to be fixed, and they did nothing, other than email my boss that they had issues. I finally advised the company on 7/24/2020 that I would be compelled to change providers if they did not get the issue fixed. They did nothing. They never sent a technician to my home. They refused to fix the issue and they are now asking me to pay a $64 early cancellation fee. I have had to file a complaint with the FCC. read more

Buyer beware. This company fraudulently signed me up for the EBB discount and took 3 months of discount benefit that could have been used with my regular service provider. Their customer service was terrible. The majority of the time the reps could not be heard when I got someone on the phone. I think I may just be lucky, but I never experienced worse customer service with an internet provider. They get 2 stars instead of 1 because they moved up my installation date from a MONTH OUT to a couple weeks. Still ridiculous, but whatever, I'm not heartless. I know they were in a bind with a flood of customers coming from another company that went out of business. **BUT** ... I left messages that were never returned. ... I worked from home at the time and they were unwilling (until my third call) to make arrangements to move installation (they didn't follow up with me when they said they would, hence the 3 calls) ...They didn't even have voicemail set up when I called the first time ...The technician they sent out was incompetent and acted like he didn't even want to be there. He told me that it might be hard to find a line of sight, so it might be better to use a different company with a dish (I had already called 6 or 7 of those to no avail). I literally had to persuade him to test our speed- shouldn't that be a given? Their speed and equipment might have worked fine, but I never had the chance to use it thanks to poor customer interactions. terrible internet service. we have called multiple times for them to come fix and troubleshoot it, they never find a problem, but our internet rarely works, especially at night (the only time we're ever even home to use it). Safelink has some very real quality of service, and employee training opportunities. Though Safelink is the only alternative to a much slower list of satellite ISPs in my rural area, I'm seriously considering leaving them for another provider. After months of ongoing interruptions in service this year as well as consistently lower than advertised speeds the last few months (I pay for their $80 10Mb/2Mb package, and have received between 3Mb- 1Mb) I finally asked the tech support rep to check their system to see what my speed was set at. This is after several calls and e-mails I might add, jumping through the same triage hoops with no resolution. Guess what? Safelink was happy to take my $80 for 10Mb, while having me provisioned for 4Mb. No explanation. No details on why or how long it had been incorrect. There wasn't even an apology or offer of adjustment to my bill. After emailing billing and asking for research and adjustments to the 4Mb package price of $50 for the last few months, I find that they can't receive e-mails from my gmail address anymore. No explanation given. This is likely because of the volume of tech support emails I had been sending, which their e-mail service likely ended up flagging as spam (would hate to think they would intentionally block the same address linked to my account with them). So my request was lost until I was past due waiting for a resolution, and now they refuse to do anything until I pay for the 10Mb I haven't been receiving. My antennae was also replaced to resolve the intermittent drop in all connectivity (2nd replacement in a year). The actual service visit techs are very courteous and knowledgeable, so I'll give them a star for that. I have yet to send a complaint to the FCC but Safelink has earned it! read more

Called them twice to get a tech out both times they said they would send someone and didn't upon calling back they said they had no idea what I was talking about. REALLY. Well where do we start, when we first got the service November of 18 it wasn't that bad service is definitely not as fast as advertised, but it worked okay dropped service every now and then, fast forward a year and it was going down every day sometimes 3 or 4 times a day for 30 minutes here and there, then started going out hot hrs a day then some days all day. Took 3 months of technical support to finally get a tech to come out he spent 15 minutes said he fixed it left that night it went out again, called support got a area manager to come out that took 4 days + a reschedule, he ended up replacing everything, that seem to work for a month or two now we are back issues. Stared last week on the the 9th went out twice for approximately 30 mins each time, then three times on the 10th, twice on the 11, once on Easter and now it has been about sense 730 this morning, called tech support waited 30 mins then had them call me back, 30m later they called couldn't fix it, sent me to advance tech support, been waiting for 2 hrs now for that call. I just signed up for internet service about 6 days ago. Two days ago my internet went down. I called the 24 hour service number and was placed on hold for 53 minutes before a technician had me unplug the unit, text pictures of the unit, and then back on hold for another technician. The second tech told me the radio wasn't receiving signal from the tower and someone would have to come to my home and replace my modem. Later that evening I received call from a Safelink technician saying an area manager would call me the following day to schedule a time to come to my home and replace the equipment. I waited until 4:30 to call Safelink once again. This time I pressed 6 to hold my place in line and have someone return my call. At midnight, I received a call from Safelink. I got out of bed and, per the Safelink tech's request, unplugged my unit only to be told once again that I needed to speak to an advanced technician, and once again I was placed on hold. 31 minutes later a technician gets on the line an apologizes for someone calling me at midnight, he tells me he is only the overnight technician and someone from the office will need to call me tomorrow. Really!! I was woken up at midnight to be placed on hold for 30 minutes just so an advanced technician could tell me someone will have to call me tomorrow!!! What is wrong with you people! Unfortunately, SafeLink was our only option in our new location on Ustick Rd because there are no other providers here. However, SafeLink is a horrible internet service provider! They told me I would have FAST internet service.....and I do....as long as it isn't after 7:30 at night until about 11:30 at night! I do most of my work on the internet between those times....and I can't load pictures or even FaceBook! It takes about 10 minutes to load a video, then it stops and starts over and over...so very frustrating! I would not recommend them to anyone who didn't HAVE to use them! read more

Called over 3 weeks ago and it took 3 weeks to get the installation scheduled. Took 1/2 day off from work only to find out that they can't get a clear line of site to even do the installation. 3 weeks wasted that I could have figured out other options and 1/2 day of work wasted. Very frustrating especially since when I called it was never mentioned that if they couldn't get a clear line of site they wouldn't be able to proceed. Beware! We had 7 years of decent service. When I followed their instructions to cancel service because we were moving out of state, I got no confirmation. I called to confirm and was told all I had to do was send back the POE, which I did. Now I am getting billed $200.00 for a 'cambium 5.7', of which I have no clue what it is, if it even exists. I had Safelink for a year and a half and I'd never EVER recommend them. The speed of my connection went from a reliable 6 mbps down to, well, zero. It stayed at zero for 3 months while I called and asked them to fix the problem. They told me they were upgrading their tower and to call back in a month. So I did. After a month I called, and found out that they did upgrade the tower, but the antenna wasn't pointing towards my house. The only thing they did was to lower my monthly price. Big whoop. They were kicked to the curb. Stay away. The don't care about customer issues only that check you send them every month. read more

Have had no response from service for 3 days/3 phone calls. Network has been extremely slow 0.1Mbps (should be 6Mbps) and ping times of 1000mS. THe network is on/off and unusable. having to go to alternate means. I have had months of really bad connection, and really bad support (none) from safelink. they only take my phone number and promise a call back - which never comes. I have even tried to reach their sales department to upgrade and they won't even call back. Seems like once they have you, they ignore you and let you die on the vine. read more

This is the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. The internet only works for about a month at a time and then it takes them three months to fix it. Out of the last nine months I have had steady Internet for only two, and not in a row. When you call for help they do not help you. You wait on hold forever just to have an excuse made up. I was told it was a level 2 problem once and it was a back hall problem another time and they had no visibility to what it was or when it would be fixed. I called several times but was finally told if I wanted to cancel I would have to pay the "free installation" price that I was credited in the beginning. I was told to call the office manager Nelly to not have to pay cancelation. When I called Nelly she was the worst of the whole bunch. No customer service and told me I had only called twice in the last week and since I had used some internet she would not wave the cancelation fee. So I called over and over again to get a status update for the next two months without ever getting one. After half of December, all of January and February, with no internet access in the evening and on weekends and spotty during the day and I called her back on March 18 before spring break and she said she still would not wave the cancelation fee. She said I had an update coming after spring break and that would make it better. They have charged me every month though full price and have never even offered to make this right. I am an average consumer and not a complainer but something has to be done about an office manager that tries to hold you hostage with a $90 fee when I am 3/4 of the way through a contract that they have not even held up themselves. If you are still considering This service after reading this please choose any other company and you will be better off. I am 42 and have never had this bad of service or was treated so poorly. This company is not investing in there product, people or training and it only gets worse the longer I am with them. As soon as my year is up I will be switching. read more

My internet has been so bad here in Nampa. It would drop out, be extremely slow and almost totally useless. Then when I closed the account and paid my final bill they said their bank returned my payment from Zions bank and they tried to charge me a $25 fee. My Zions account has been in use for years and I even resubmitted my final payment using the same Zions account and it went through just fine. THESE PEOPLE ARE A BUNCH OF IDIOTS. I'm tired of them threatening me for that $25 fee from their bank which must be just as stupid at running a bank as they are at providing internet service. Reading the reviews on this company verify the review I'm about to write. Do not use this company!!! customer service sucks! they installed service with the promise of a good signal and fast internet. The signal was so bad I could not even get a page to open half the time. With a technician standing by my side he handed the phone to myself to speak with a person that could cancel the service because he couldn't assure me a good signal. He also told me the dish should have never been pointed to a tower that was so overloaded no wonder it didn't work. After feeling assured I had cancelled I received an email this morning my credit card had been billed for service. Called again and spoke to the billing manager and was told it was never cancelled????? then argued with me that they would have to verify with the technician that came to the house really???? what about the customer? also was told i would not get the 36.00 dollars back I paid with they first installed the equipment.
