I had a 7:00 am appointment and was the only customer at that time. The whole process moved quickly--I received appointment reminders and updates about my car via text and email. Kristian, my glass replacement technician, was very professional and ranks among Safelite's best technicians in the industry. He competes in the Auto Glass Technician Competition (AGTO) and the Auto Glass Technician Calibration. Kristian took the time to explain the process and inquired if I had any questions before and after installation. Even though my insurance company estimated up to a 3-hour service time, Kristian was done in 1.25 hours. Insurance was covering a replacement windshield except for a $100 deductible. We scheduled a drop off, left the car there, and they called us and said the replacement window had a scratch. They offered it to us at a discount but we refused. They said they'd order another one and we rescheduled for the following week. No biggie. Except... the following week, they had our car, never called us to say it was ready. We get there at closing and it's still not done, had to wait until 5:30pm despite dropping it off at 9am. And guess what? They put in the scratched windshield that we already rejected. It has a large blurry line directly in the driver's line of sight where you can't see out of. Two entire days wasted and now the windshield is worse than when we dropped it off, plus we're out our deductible. And there's no way to actually call and get through to a human being! The website doesn't work to schedule a warranty appointment either so their alleged warranty is a lie too! read more

We'll go to you instead, so I waited another day and got screwed again nothing but excuses from both drivers manager never called me. The worst of the worst customer service ever. I was 5 minutes 'late' to my appointment because there was no parking space in the parking lot. The technician asked me loudly in front of all other customers in the waiting room in an extremely condescending tone and imperceptibly rude manner why was I not there on time. As though I had committed an egregious act. Wow. Did not even bother to take off his airpods. Then told me to go to a different company (yes you heard it right, different company, not rebooking a new appointment or a different location) and have a good day because he wouldn't accept me saying something 'under your breaths'. He walked back in and literally smirked at me. Wow oh wow. I am sure the entire encounter was recorded on their CCTV, feel free to pull the recordings, should be right around 15:35 - 15:39 on the 28th of Feb mark. What made he think I was so scared of him to the point i couldn't saying something to his face? When all I was asking was can he still take my car and fix the chip? Perhaps he couldn't hear my question because he had his AirPods in the entire encounter? If I could, I would give this location a zero. Easy to make appointment through our insurer, State Farm. Our policy offers a zero deductible repair/replacement. I arrived on time for my 1:00 PM service which was complete within one hour! Staff was helpful & courteous. Later, I received an email with a certificate to ensure that all necessary sensor calibration was performed successfully. Great service. read more

Needed to replace the windshield and followed the link from our insurance's website. We answered a few questions to insure the correct windshield was ordered. Since replacing the windshield required recalibration we had to take the car into the shop. The shop was located not too far from the house and there were plenty of available appts. We were able to get one when we needed it and brought it in at the appointed time. The employees have a good sense of what is needed just by looking at the vehicle.. We were told they had the correct windshield. However, during the inspection the following customer was told they didn't have the correct windshield and he'd have to come back. Inconvenient, yes but better to happen before they started the work. Our windshield was replace and ready to go in 2 hrs. Service was good, employee knowledge was excellent. I've been to this Safelite twice. Each time to get a windshield replaced. No fun. They made the process painless. Although, I did have to wait about two weeks from the day I made the appointment until I could get in. (1st available appointment was the day before I went in, but I worked that day, so I was only delayed by 1 day because of work). I arrived early, and I was greeted promptly, but they weren't able to take my truck back until 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. They estimated an hour to replace the windshield, and it took 50 minutes. There are plugs available in the waiting room which is nice when your have to wait a while. read more

Got a front windshield done, price was just under 500 for a 97 bmw windshield, seemed off. Employee without me saying anything looked into it and found its wrong, ended up getting that and the molding around it re done for free and left paying low 300's. This is my show car, love it to death and its rarity. They took great care, so thank you. My mirror was then loose so I brought it back and they helped out right away without any questions asked or needing to look me up a month later! Had it fixed right away, if not they would've done a new windshield and if that was wrong they would've got me a new mirror. Thank you guys for the help and being responsive to getting to the front desk from the garage as I walked in each time, and with the service and its garuntee. If I could give a 0 star review I certainly would. I took in my car for a new windshield. When I went to pick up my car, the guy informed me that my windshield wasn't able to calibrate with my sensors. This meant that none of my sensors will work til the actual OEM windshield is put in. Worse than that means my dash abs indicators blink until this is fixed. I have now been driving around with blinking lights for SIX MONTHS without even a phone call to me to give me updates. I have went own to Safelite 5x with the same story of a new date that hasn't been met. To say I am frustrated would be putting it mildly. Terrible customer service, terrible experience. read more

We had two windshields that needed replacement...upon scheduling, we made separate appointments and showed up, on time for them. When we arrived, Safelite claims that they didn't have the glass yet and that they called and left messages to reschedule us. NO. THEY. DID. NOT. CALL. EVER. When one of the windshields was finally replaced, the job was done poorly and now has to be redone. So much of our time was wasted. Time we set aside to have this work done. I thought Safelite would be convenient, since it's so close. I'm going back to Horizon Auto Glass & Tint on Menaul. They have always given us stellar service, even if it's out of our way. read more

Where do I start? I was on the 25 north when was blasted by sand and rock by a dump truck in front of me that had a tandem carrier behind. My windshield got a small crack right in the line of vision. This was a Friday and I put in a claim the same day. A Safelight repair Man was supposed to come fix the ding the following Wednesday between 7:30 am and 10 am. He showed up at 3 after several calls to find out where he was. He attempted to repair with an epoxy filler and was unsuccessful. I called and asked to have the windshield replaced as it directly in my line of vision and unacceptable. I was told that a repairman would be over on Wed. I sat home waiting from 12-4:30 and when I called at 4:20 was told, oh, it would be the next Wednesday because they did not have it in stock. So the appointment was rescheduled for today between 12-4:30. At 10 I got a call saying they were short mobile repairman and could they come out March 12 instead, 15 days from now!!! I was then able to get an earlier appointment if I take it into their shop next Thursday, 8 days from now as their earliest appointment. Hmmm! The commercials on TV look so great. The run around that I have gotten is not so great. Let's see what happens next week. So far I would give them a Minus 5 if I could. read more

A rock hit my windshield, while traveling and left a good size chip which had started to spider. I called Safelite and they said I needed to call insurance and make a claim, which I did. Insurance then connected me back to Safelite and I got an appointment the same day at 1 pm. There was a little snafoo as I was watching the clock in my car, which was on Los Angeles time, and so I arrived an hour late for my appointment. After a good chuckle, they said they would get me in after their next customer. They filled the chip at no cost to me and I had peace of mind on my drive back to Los Angeles. read more

Safelite NM, services are excellent and professional. Their mobile service is my preference for the last 6 years to replace my windshield. For a variety of reasons I change my car insurance carrier that had no deductible after 15yrs,my new policy and carrier does have a $250 deductible force me to shop for this service. Fortunately, Safelite still offers the best service,price and online scheduling, however I did have to visit their location to save $35, including a $20 coupon by scheduling online for a total cost $193, way under my new policy terms. read more

I was able to get in right away to repair a broken passenger window due to vandalism. Very pleased with the service!

My car was broken into and my front drivers side window and front passenger side window were smashed. My insurance covered the full repair and I brought my car here. My drivers side window still has glass rattling around in it and screeches when being raised or lowered. My passengers side window is stuck part way open and will not go up or down even after my insurance was billed $845. I was very dissatisfied with this encounter. It has been over a month since receiving service and waiting on a Cal Base Moulding to be ordered after my windshield install showed to be poor. There was over 5mm of spacing at the base of windshield that was not there before. The manager at the shop initially wanted me to "wait until temp changes" to see if molding adjusted itself. I had to bring the vehicle back and schedule a warranty visit in order for me to request that the cal mounding to be ordered. There is no way to contact the local shops to confirm what the status of things are. The generic dispatch number that calls are forwarded to know nothing about what happens at the shop locations and they can basically make appointments. I stopped in a week later since I was not contacted to confirm part was ordered. The staff was able to update me after looking on their laptop that the part was ordered and another location would call me which they did. Two weeks later I go back to same shop and staff says there is no way for them to check on status. Staff says I have to go to the other location in person to find out what is going on. I inform him last time I was there they checked on status with a computer. The guy conveniently changes his story and says the computers are now down. There seems to be no consistency in communication between locations, staff only respond when you have had it with the run around and the quality of work is not what I expect after dishing out $500 for a windshield. read more

I give a zero if I could. For starters trash and debris including razor blades left on driveway sidewalk and street. Seal on windshield instaslled incorrectly. Waves in the seal exposed glass edges all the way around windshield. and a gap between windshielkd and body work due to incorrect instsllation. Called the complaint department referred back to to Safelite shop that did the work. They assured me tech would come by clean up dfebris and discuss install. Never happened. When you try and call the complaint department they continually referred me back to the shop that did the work. Finally called corporate office in Dayton OH. We shall see if they call back. I had a chip in my windshield, and went through Safelite as that was who my insurance uses and the first tech who came out to repair it ended up making it worse, so they had to replace it. He told me that they would waive the deductible since the additional damage happened during the repair, but when the second tech came to replace it, they charged me for the deductible, NOT CARING that it was SAFELITE'S fault that the repair turned into a replacement. I will NEVER EVER EVER use Safelite again. This was the absolutely WORST experience in having my windshield replaced. And in Albuquerque, that is a regular occurrence. read more

My initial installer showed up with broken glass. I was given a discount which was nice. Second appointment never showed up. Third appointment and 2 weeks later, finally got my windshield reinstalled. The installer was fantastic and worked very quickly He did a great job. Horrible. I have Geico insurance and I scheduled an appt. for a star repair on a Saturday. When I arrived, there was 1 kid working in back. At least 4 customers left because there was no-one to help them. The kid finally started on my star repair but he had no idea what he was doing. He drilled a hole in the windshield, squired a round blob of resin in it and sent me on my way. The star looked much worse when I left than when I arrived. Since he didn't squirt the resin in the legs of the star, now the star is beginning to spread and Geico tells me that I'll have to buy a new windshield on my dime. This place sucks. Poor follow through and they conduct themselves as they DO NOT NEED your business! Got a large chip on May 22, 2019 - Wed. that ran immediately. I was traveling on I-40 when it happened. That night I got online to schedule a mobile service for my Jaguar FType and noted no openings for over two months. Decided I could just take the car in for replacement glass. 1st appointment available was 5th of June. The online system does not allow you to message (email) anyone and required I know the features of my glass before scheduling an appointment. It was not user friendly. I couldn't get past the glass features that I did not know so I selected the first features package and moved on. I also elected into text messaging and asked for help immediately by replying HELP. I got an immediate response which was great but then not really... I advised that I wanted OEM glass and that I did not know the features of my existing glass and needed further assistance. I explained I had provided my VIN online but was was told that would not helpful. I couldn't be helped any further and to call an 800 number. I called immediately the following day and was told by Kari that due to the upcoming Memorial Day holiday (4 days away...?) she would not be able to get me a quote, determine glass features needed because she couldn't use my VIN and had to call the dealership, or get approval on my request for OEM glass until the following week. She also said timing was important because it would affect my appointment if my new glass had to be ordered. I was promised a call back from her on or before the 31st of May - almost 10 days later. I exercised patience although I thought this was a very strange and an inefficient approach. It was important to know as soon as possible how much out of pocket I should expect to pay as my deductible is $1000. As for the features, Kari said she would have to call the dealership to find out, even having already provided my VIN. Again, I thought this was unusual. Kari advised that in order to not affect my appointment and receive/have glass on time, she needed to contact the dealership THAT DAY. May 31st came and went without any call back. I followed up the morning of June 3rd and spoke to a gentleman this time. He said my work order had no notes or actions taken (no approval, no features determined, no estimate, etc.) and needed to find out what was going on. He said he would call me right back. I explained my appointment was scheduled in two days and it was important to get back to me. Again, no call back. The following day (now the day before my appointment), I called again to follow up and spoke to Mari. Mari said the gentlemen the day before had not noted my work order and she was starting from scratch. I confirmed what I heard twice because I couldn't imagine another obstacle! She too had to find out what was going on. Mari was the only person who apologized for the handling of my work order. She stated "she could see how horrible it was handled and agreed I had the right to be frustrated." The insurance approval had not been submitted until that day. I am not even sure this was true. She also advised that my replacement glass had to be ordered (the features were also determined that day) and my appointment rescheduled. She also said she still had no approval on my request for OEM glass. I asked to speak to a manager (she said she was the MOD). I specifically asked for the location general manager so that I could express my concerns about what I experienced. I cancelled my appointment pending a call back. I ended up not rescheduling. I wanted to hear back from Josh Blevens, the location manager, and then I would decide next steps. Guess what?! Never heard back from Mr. Blevens. Even through I asked Mari to let him know how disappointed and frustrated I was, no call back. Apparently, they do not need business or referrals or don't like to deal with customers they upset. I waited one more day for a call back. The following afternoon and on my own, I had my insurance approval, my estimate, the features on the replacement glass determined, OEM glass approved and ordered, and an appointment set at the Jaguar dealership on Alameda. [Yes, I am aware they outsource. I didn't care. So long the workmanship is good and they stand behind their work and don't treat customers like they mean nothing.] Bottom line: I wasted valuable hours (and days) with Safelite and was treated horribly; as someone disposable. I accomplished in one hour with Jaguar what I didn't in several hours, phone calls, and texts with Safelite. The business culture is not one to trust and is very disrespectful! I suppose I should have given more value to the reviews before me. A constant theme they have going on! read more

I had a scheduled appointment at 11 for my RV. I was there on time and the first guy said he did not have us scheduled then a second guy came out and said someone was supposed to contact me and cancel. The first guy then said we can't reach the window,which the other guy corrected and said we don't have room to park it. Either even looked at the RV to realize it was only 29 feet and would have fit. I felt they were overbooked and lied to me. There is much more planning with an RV and this was not a professional place to depend on. read more
