I'm not even sure where to start! In the state of Florida with full coverage auto insurance you can…read morereplace your windshield when provided with enough evidence. Key word EVIDENCE!!! I was TRAINED to commit insurance fraud. " they may only have one or two chips, Florida requires 4 or more. So just go ahead and indicate additional chips even if they are not there. That way you can close the sale". For OBVIOUS reasons I no longer work with this company and its partner offices. The same company wouldn't need 3 different LLCs if they were a legit company. Companies like this are in a battle with insurance companies trying to prove their legitimacy. Hey owners, if you didn't commit and train others to commit insurance fraud you would be on the black list of insurance agencies!

I had a simple problem. I have a 6 month old car, Acura MDX, with a star crack in the passenger…read moreside windshield from a pebble on the highway. Signature Shield had a 5 star reputation on YELP. The person I spoke with on the phone, Iris, sounded wonderful. I trusted her. Iris promised everything would be perfect. The project would be finished in the morning, certainly before noon. She promised she had a technical expert that would calibrate the new windshield and return all of the automatic features back to perfect working conditions. What could possibly go wrong? The job took over 9 hours to complete. The Signature Shield work crew of 3 left for a few hours presumably to get additional parts or tools. They never told me they were leaving and they left my car with the doors wide open, the windows down, and my car keys on the driver's seat in plain sight. When it started to rain I went outside and discovered them missing. I was the one to close the doors and windows. I could not pull my car into my garage because Signature Shield left the car disassembled with numerous parts scattered across my driveway as well as inside the car. The rear view mirror was hanging down from the ceiling by 2 wires. I have photos and videos that document everything. About 7:30 p.m., my car was reassembled. They left stains on the pillars on either side of the windshield and the Blind Spot Detection System no longer works. Although I am communicating with Iris who assures me that Signature Shield is "extremely responsible," she refuses to tell me what she plans to do to repair the extremely important "Blind Spot Detection System." Signature Shield promised me everything, delivered a new windshield that may or may not be the correct windshield, damaged my car, and abandoned me to fix all the damages they created. Whatever the repairs will cost, I will have to sue them to recover those costs and legal expenses. Signature Shield turned a simple replacement of a windshield iinto a nightmare. Signature Shield should have been honest and told me in advance that they did not know how to replace a high tech windshield with automatic wiper blades and blind spot detection system. They should have been honest with me and told me they could replace the glass but I would have to take my car to an authorized Acura dealer to have them reconnect and calibrate all of the high tech features now built into modern cars. I strongly suspect once my review is posted, Signature Shield will go out of business and quickly reopen under a new name so they can once again boast of a sham "perfect 5-star record." The Signature Shield crew that came to my home came in trucks without the Signature Shield name. They appeared to be independent contractors that probably work for anyone who hires them. If Iris doesn't have Signature Shield employees performing windshield installations, it would cost her about $200 to incorporate under a new name and be back in business with the same independent contractors under a different company name.

I chose this shop because of the reviews but I learned a great deal today. Never go on the reviews…read morealone. My experience could've been better however that wasn't the case. I contacted Tint Studio a few weeks ago to inquire about a quote and/or replacing film that was bubbling on the back of my car window. During the call, I think I was speaking to the owner, he was friendly and I was quoted a different price from what I was charged today. When I arrived at the shop this morning, the customer service was lacking a lot. Granted, I arrived a little behind schedule because my GPS was off with the address. The man in the shop was assisting another customer (which was fine) therefore I patiently waited until he was available. When he got to me, he appeared annoyed didn't really greet or reiterate what was being done to my car. Just asked for my keys, confirmed phone number and said he would call when he's finished. When I arrived to pay and pick up my car, the total was provided and I noticed the bill was $57.89 more. I brought the price increase to his attention and his response was it's due to the taxes in FL. I guess I looked slow or didn't look like a person who can do simple math but this increase was not due to FL taxes. After looking at the receipt closely, I was also charged a $7.10 non cash adjustment fee. It would've taken 1-2 minutes to give a heads up on this fee because I could've went to an ATM and got cash. I didn't have the time on my busy schedule to waste or go back and forth so I paid my bill and left. As a customer, it wasn't fair business to provide a quote that was not applicable the day of service or communicate with me about changed prices. Enjoy the extra funds, I have no plans to refer nor do business here again. UPDATE: Thank you for your response. I don't have any issue with paying sales tax to any business and as a entrepreneur myself I'm well aware of "business practices". My message directly addresses two main components that I had issues with, 1) a quoted price that was provided a few weeks ago that was different in the final bill and 2) the lacking customer service experienced during the process. I'm accustomed to final billings being broken down (i.e. price quoted + fees + taxes). The price of $120.00 that was initially quoted to me a few weeks ago and the 8% - 9% tax that the guy informed today was your FL sales tax. All together, the bill would've been roughly around $130.00, additional fees would have brought the final bill to approximately $145.00. The breakdown for the bill today includes $39.95 extra from the original price quoted, $5.95 shop fee (No problem with this fee), $11.99 (No problem with this sales tax fee) and $7.10 non cash adjustment fee (I have a problem with this fee since it was failed to be mention prior or during the consultation process.) Honest communication is always the key if that's what your business is based on (word for word) and it never hurt any employer who is dealing with customers to have an upbeat and positive energy. Thanks for your business. Photo 1 of 1
