They were very nice and replaced my windshield in about an hour and a half. Was pretty expensive but my vehicle has sensors that need recalibration and that alone is around $350. Gave me a lifetime warranty so that's nice. Overall I would recommend. read more

About 11 years ago, a truck "threw" a rock that cracked my windshield. Wanting to "think globally, buy locally" I called 2 local glass companies that advertised auto glass repair/replace. One quoted $500, the other ($700). I then called Safelite. They invited me to come in at my convenience. I did just that, arriving around 9 AM. They replaced my windshield in less than an hour, and after all the tears in that same car, never a problem since. The cost was under $300 (remember, 11 years ago, so no doubt more now), the staff was bilingual with excellent English skills, the waiting room was clean and pleasant, and the work was top notch. Dont take your Volvo. They won't install a Volvo windshield and it won't calibrate correctly. What they will do is take your insurance money and ignore your calls and texts. If I could give them a rating it would be a negative 100%. They will also tell you your sensors are not working and that's why it won't calibrate. read more

Stand behind your product!! AFTER short warranty runs out, windshield molding ROTS out. I had a windshield replaced on my wife's 2017 Ford Explorer replaced by safelite. All the molding on both sides of the windshield have totally ROTTED out. I have a 2008 Toyota tundra that still looks great. We had a broken windshield replaced on our truck by Safelite on Thursday 6-26-25. The technician kept us informed, called ahead when he was on his way and arrived in the expected timeframe for the work. He was polite and did a great job. He was very honest and told me he had accidentally broken off my antenna. He said he would get with his supervisor to order another one and sometimes they even have them laying around at their office. He asked me to reach out to him on Monday if I hadn't heard from him. I called him on Tuesday 7-1-25. He said he had the antenna and would bring it by that afternoon. The next day 7-2-25 I text him and he said he would bring it by on his way home 4:30 to 5ish. At 5:22 he texted me and said the shop was closed and he couldn't get it, but that he would bring it by the next day. Since then he is no longer responding to my text messages I will buy my own antenna and I will tell others they shouldn't use Safelite. It's really a shame because the appointment was really impressive until this happened :( 7-9-2025 Update...my technician showed up yesterday afternoon with a new antenna. He's a really good guy...just wish he had let me know yesterday morning when I sent him my last text attempt that he was coming. I had a W/S installed a few months ago. A plastic panel, behind the rear view mirror had come loose and I have tried to re-fasten it, but could not. I tried to TALK to someone in customer service about fastening this panel in place. The recordings are no help and when told I would be connected to customer Service, This was after 20 minutes and when transferred was disconnected. I was an insurance adjuster for 45 years and always referred customers to Safelite. Now when I try to get help for myself, I get the run around a no way to see if I need an appointment to get it snapped in place, or just drive in, or can I just meet one of their installers when they are in my area. This is probably a 30 second job for someone who knows what they are doing. Safe lite has sure gone down hill and not an auto glass company I would ever refer anyone to. STAY CLEAR!!! LOOK AT THE COMMENTS ON THEIR FACEBOOK POSTS TO SEE THE TRUTH! Many customers complain of no show appointments, unfinished and subpar work, and more. In my case, the glass repair technician came out and made a 1/2" crack 3". He then told me it wasn't the prressure but the injection process. So, that tells me they know the product breaks stuff and yet they do take responsibility for further damages their product will cause. The laws should protect consumers from fraud like this. The worst part is, they have training and a sales structure around using the repair to hook and switch you to a full replacement. A while back, with the help from my insurance, these folks repaired a small crack in my windshield. A couple of weeks later, it is back as bad as it was before I went to them, maybe a little worse than the way it was. Sorry, but I can not recommend them for windshield repair at all. Safelite AutoGlass is way over priced $ 160 for a chip repair + $ 50 if you want them to go to your place. Total it was going to be $ 210. I called Caliber Auto Glass they repaired the chip at my home and they charge me $ 100. They did a great job you can't really tell a chip was there. Second vehicle that I used Caliber Auto Glass and they did 100% on both times. read more

I'm sad to say that I wouldn't recommend this place to a friend or family. I'm not sure if I just had some bad luck with them or what, but I took my car last week to get the windshield fix and I was pretty happy to finally have a nice windshield without a crack, but when I got home I noticed a gap at the bottom that went all across the bottom windshield, so I called them to book an appointment and went in to get it fix. Well you can still see the gap in the windshield but it's not as noticeable as before, but apparently they told me it should be fine that way. It's such a shame cause I wanted to give them five stars but I feel they deserve two. Also, I'm upset that they gave me my car with that huge gap to beginning with and didn't tell me anything till I got home and noticed it. read more

I call to have a Ford transit windshield replacement they ask for the vinnumber of it i had it scheduled for Saturday, when they arrived the had the wrong windshield they are saying because the vin number its mark as something else blaming on ford. If I could give them a zero, I would. I had my windshield replaced and they didn't put my vehicle back together properly. There is a gab between the door and dashboard which causes wind to enter the vehicle. The windows fog at random even without rain or moisture, and there are parts on both sides under my hood that are just sticking up (instead of flushing like they should). I've taken it back at least four times and they've given excuses every and denied having anything to do with my issues. It fogged and showed issues as soon as I turned out of their garage. My car is under one years old and I've never had any work done on it or damage to it. I can't believe my insurance company sent me to them. They are complete liars and won't even own up to it and try to fix anything. I took it to TWO auto repair shops, a glass place, and my dealership who pointed out all the obvious flaws of my dashboard being pressed on or moved. Some even spotted other evidence of the reason why I have a gap and hanging door, but Safelite keeps denying and gaslighting. I'm still fighting Safelite for repairs or reimbursement, but I thought I'd warn all of you. Please stay away from this place. Had a small chip in my windshield, about the size of a pencil eraser. They "repaired" it and charged me over $250. The chip was exactly the same after the "repair". Brought it to their attention but was told that they only repair windshields for "integrity reasons", not cosmetic reasons and so I would still have to live with a chip in my line of sight. UNLESS I preferred to replace the entire windshield at a cost of over $1000. BEWARE....they are after your wallet!!! read more

I've used Safelite in another state so I was familiar with their service. I started with the Burleson location, however, they proved to be rather incompetent. They didn't call when they advised me they would to provide an update on my appointment, I ended up going to the store and speaking with a manager. He informed me one of the moldings had to be ordered since they were not in stock, it took 3 months to come in only to find out they ordered the WRONG part. Mind you, I find this out while I'm sitting there at my appointment. They really didn't provide no big apology or anything, so I decided to not deal with that location anymore and setup an appointment with the Arlington store. I did end up waiting for almost 2 hours while they replaced my windshield, no big deal since I couldn't drop it off. My only complaint is after I left and was almost home, I noticed rubber pieces all on the front floor and I felt it should have been cleaned up, and was rather tacky on their part. And this morning, upon discovering that after two tries they still have ordered the wrong windshield for my van, the lady I dealt with at the counter at the Arlington location was so so so rude it was unbelievable. They messed up my car and didn't install the windshield properly, even after a "warranty visit". They expect me to give up more of my time to fix their shoddy work. RESPONSE You never answer phone calls. Your technician damaged my car, getting adhesive all over the paint. I was promised a manager would call me to make it right. Your warranty technician refused to install it properly. I tried. Your technician only made it worse and offered no solutions to fixing the damage other than making another, useless, warranty appointment. It was never done properly and you refuse to redo it. I was very pleased with my service. They were prompt and efficient. They were honest with me and let me know upfront that the damage could get worse which gave me the opportunity to leave the chipped glass as is or get them filled in. He assured me that he would do everything in his power not to let that happen and he did! I can hardly tell where the chips were and I have a guarantee that they will not spread. My wife went in to have a chip repaired in the front windshield. They were so booked that the earliest appointment was almost 2 weeks away (which by that time, the chip could have grown beyond repairable), even though the website says "Does your windshield have 3 or fewer chips smaller than 6 inches? If so, no need to schedule an appointment. Chip is still visible, there is still an indentation in the glass, and it is rough to touch. They did not ask about insurance, charged $113 for the chip repair, again even though they claim that it typically costs nothing, because they work with your insurance, but they never bothered to ask. They did state that the paid amount could be applied to the cost of a new windshield, but no where on the receipt is this stated, so I have no clue if this is actually true or not. I tried to call the location to ask, but all I get is the crappy robot response, and then it hangs up without ever being able to talk to anyone. Had an appointment for 11:00 and didn't leave until 13:30. Excessive considering an appointment. I'm pretty particular about my car being that I'm an aircraft mechanic by trade. The windshield installation was installed to satisfaction. I think the glass could have been cleaner considering the amount of time. The front floors were vacuumed well, a nice added bonus. My registration and TollTag stickers were preserved pretty well, don't see a need to get replacements. Some type of compensation offered for the 2.5 hour wait would have netted 5 stars! I have a Jeep Wrangler that is notorious for Cracked Windshields. I've been to a few different places to get my windshield replaced but this particular East Arlington Location is now the Only place I will god.
