give me a brand new manufacturers windshield the safety features in my car would not work. They will replace it with a brand new one for OM back and told me it was brand new. I have the same pitch in the year later that came back six months later what a waste of my time and they lied to me. And I also had to go back to the dealer because they do not have to reset all the safety features in my car so you said I have 10 more my new windshield for the ceiling photos, but in person all over the windshield box in the windshield this is what I went there to get rectified and it was not fixed and 100% disappointed. This was a claim that was covered by my insurance company. I was told that someone will be calling me because I requested a factory front windshield for my 2021 Acura RDX. I never received that phone call after waiting a week after my premature schedule date that was given to me by my insurance company. After speaking to Safelite, the manager explained to me after I physically drove there because you cannot reach anyone over the phone, he told me that they had the glass in but it's a aftermarket glass. I explain to him that I requested a factory made glass for my particular vehicle, and he said that they had an aftermarket glass available for my premature appointment date. There is always a blame game to play when something goes wrong. My insurance company expressed to them that I requested a factory made glass so there will be no issues with the features that I have on my 2021 Acura RDX and I believe that this was overlooked by Safelite because they had a aftermarket glass available four the appointment that was given to me where I was told to wait for a phone call first before going to my appointment because it will take them some time to order the glass. This was as per my insurance company instructions. I believe Safelite got this one wrong. As for the quality of work, it seems that so far so good, since it's only been approximately 4 days since installation. I have dealt with this company before and never had any issues. Besides the little hiccup, I will still recommend them, but I would definitely recommend to the higher-ups that they should have someone available to answer the phones because not everyone is looking to set appointments. It is 100% impossible to reach a live representative unless you go through your insurance company to try to reach someone. They have a secretary there that can answer calls but for some reason they have redirected their calls to an automated system that will not lead you to a live representative to settle any issues you may have. I had a rock hit my windshield Saturday morning and made a claim with my insurance company. I was able to get an appointment with safelite in Bay Shore that afternoon. They said I needed a new windshield and were able to get it by Monday afternoon. When I arrived Monday they told me it would be about two hours for the repair. The technician finished in about an hour. The service was excellent and the technician was very competent. They recalibrated my system and I am very satisfied with the service I received. My experience with replacing my back windshield was very smooth and efficient. Robert at this location took care of my car. On top of replacing my back windshield he also vacuumed the broken glass, cleaned my windows and replaced my wipers. They told me it would be about 1 hour and 30 minutes but my car was ready in 40 minutes. Great service! read more

The worst experience ever, don't use them. I'm so disappointed on how they treat their customers. Called geico on Saturday regarding a chip a size of a bean on my windshield, geico referred me to safelite. A representative will repair my chip on Thursday at my place of business between 12-3pm. Well today is Thursday and I received a call around 10ish from JOEYDEE informing me he is in the parking lot and will fix my chip, minutes later I go outside and he already has his tools put away and told me my windshield cracked and he can call safelite to schedule an appointment to have them replace it for another time but he has to go. I told him I will call my insurance company to see what the next steps are, which I did and geico transferred me back to safelite. When I spoke to a representative from safelite a woman told me JOEYDEE canceled my appointment.. I said nooo he was here everyone at my job saw a man on my Jeep including my regional manager.. safelite representative asked for a receipt number.. WHAT RECEIPT NUMBER? the woman on the phone sounded sooo shocked while I'm sitting on the other line confused because I see JOEYDEE never informed his manager that he DAMAGED MY WINDSHIELD and tried covering his mistake by making a make believe cancellation. The representative placed me on hold then transferred to someone else which we got disconnected and never called me back.. WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THIS? Poor service read more

My 2021 Pilot had a large crack in windshield, I made 3 appts the first 2 had to be rescheduled due to the wrong windshield being received. I was not told this until the car was dropped off 2x and I had to turn around and pick up car again. Finally the 3rd appt the right windshield was received and mine was replaced. Picked up the car and the inside was filthy, scraps of whatever and dirt etc was all over the dash and floor of my pilot. I've used safelight before without issues but I was less than thrilled with my experience this time in the Bayshore location. read more

I commute to the Bronx and had the misfortune of catching a piece of road debris on a cold day. The result: about a 12 inch crack in the windshield. The people at Safelite did an amazing job with the replacement. I have a 2021 Subaru Forester, which meant they needed to recal my cameras after install. The recal worked the first time. Technician never showed up during my 1:30 to 5:30 appointment window today and I received a text at 4:15 pm stating that my appointment has been updated to 5/3 between 1:30 and 5:30. I called the office and asked why and the manager said that there was a change in the customer portal. I told him I never used it. I was told the technician came 2x and left. I did not receive a phone call that he was here. I had a missed call from them at 12:15 which was not between the time I was scheduled for. The manager called it a miscommunication. This is horrible customer service. The manager took the technician's word over mine that he came 2x but I can prove on my cell phone that he did not call me when he arrived for my 1:30 - 5:30 appointment time. How am I supposed to know he is here if he does not call and tell me. That makes me think he did not come here and he went and changed my appointment to 5/3. I wanted to speak to the technician but was told he went home. I was rescheduled for 5/2. read more

This local Safelite store in Bay Shore, NY replaced one our of car's windshield on November 21, 2018. My husband was pulled over the other day and the Police noted that the inspection sticker showed "VOID". Lo and behold we found out first-hand that when this sticker is removed from it's original windshield, this is what happens. Safelite provides such repairs daily, and en masse. Wouldn't a simple notation of this prior to service (or even during the process) be helpful to the customer? Fast forward to December 17th, 2018 when we called Safelite, who put us in touch with Henry at the above noted store who replaced my windshield (Safelite, 1782 Union Blvd, Bay Shore, NY). Henry told us to send it to the DMV and get a replacement. We were not about to wait a week, or two, or longer for the process and needed to get the car re-inspected immediately to avoid a summons or potential towing of the vehicle. Henry verbally stated that they would reimburse us for the full $37.00 re-inspection cost. Per his request, my husband e-mailed him, then e-mailed him again a day later (both with attachments of the receipt and old "VOID" inspection sticker). After two days of non-response, my husband called him this morning, only for Henry to state that the store was not going to reimburse us. My husband immediately called Safelite's corporate offices, who were very polite and will be reimbursing us for the $37.00 re-inspection of the vehicle. Kudos to Safelite Corporate (Ashely and Charmaine), thumbs down for the local store in Bay Shore, NY. If you are going this route, just make sure they don't send someone from the Bay Shore, NY store!! read more
