Took them 42 minutes to discover I had aftermarket rims/tires - calls me and won't recalibrate due to liability. Had to make a bunch of calls to get recalibration scheduled somewhere else. Called back to tell them to proceed, and they said they could get it done in the afternoon. Asked why not earlier, as my appointment was at 10 - he said they had someone scheduled at 11. And then he has the balls to ask, "would you like to me to ask that customer to wait?" Last straw - I'm out. Poorly run outfit with terrible customer service. Second time trying to use these guys - never again. There are much better options in the Treasure Valley. read more

Just finished our appointment here and it was awesome. The check-in was so smooth they had the paperwork ready from the time we walked in the office to the time they started on the car was just a few minutes. The windshield looks great. Sofia, the technician was awesome and even cleaned all the other windows while waiting for the windshield repair to settle. Highly recommend this place. They quoted us about 30 to 45 minutes but it was done in 20 minutes. Also, it sent text message updates and even sent an automated receipt at the end via email. What was a small rock chip about the size of a grain of rice is now a small sealed area with a large windshield split going up and another one going down my windshield! I used them in San Diego wanted to use them out here in Boise. First they give you a five hour window to show up for a three hour window repair. Then you wait all day and they don't show up till the end of the window and they expect me to stay home for seven hours. Then when you try to call to talk to someone, you can't get hold of anybody and you get stuck in their convoluted computer system. Both times I have been told by the the web site there was a problem scheduling my appointment and I will be called in 30 minutes to schedule an appointment. While waiting for my windshield replacement I was able to watch the wonderful workers converse with other customers, and I was very pleased to see such friendly workers who genuinely cared. I've had this store do 2 windshields for me-recently at my house & @ the store in 2021. In the shop was a long wait cause of the computer attached- but home visit was much easier for me. Safelite came highly recommended by my family that had great service. So despite the cost being DOUBLE all the other windshield repair places around town, I chose to give them a shot. First I tried calling and you can't get through to a live person. My questions were what makes their process different from the others in town. So I made the appointment, talked to the lady at the front desk and she was so rude and told me she can't speak to other companies. I asked, very politely again, what is SAFELITES process & she said again she can't talk to other companies. So I cut my loses there and asked the technician the same question. He said he wasn't sure why they were so much higher, except since COVID everything has shot up. They do the chip repair (it was smaller than a dime). I go out to look at my windshield and it doesn't look like anything was done. I can still see the chip (and it's right in my line of sight). I go back in, talk to a different technician and his response is it won't spread anymore but it's cosmetic & if it bugs me I can just replace my window. I guess what I was looking for was better customer service. I could have paid half the cost and received the same results. So lesson learned, you don't always get what you pay for and I would much rather go to a business that has better customer service. I gave it higher than one star because I was able to get an appointment quickly and the process only took 35 min. read more

I've had many rock chips fixed on windshields and never had a problem with it cracking further. I got my windshield chip "fixed" from Safelite in March, and the chip has since spread. I understand that things happen, but if it's the exact same chip it would seem to me that the first repair was not successful. They have stated that they do not guarantee chip repairs, so I would have to just purchase a whole new windshield. Maybe I'm missing something but I've never had a chip repair not be successful. UPDATE: Business replied and addressed my concern, which is appreciated. However the issue still remains. I have had at least six or seven windshield chips replaced by companies and not one time have I had it spread. read more

Updated me once doare was on and arrived at the tine she said she would. Windshield repairs and all of my windows cleaned too. Doesn't get any better! My windshield was destroyed by a rogue goofball while driving past a golf course. Safelite didn't have any appointments for 2 weeks and only had drop off appointments available. I dropped off my vehicle at 9:00 am and it was ready about 3:00 pm. Having them come out is way more convenient, however, I understand why they are so busy and have a 2 week wait. Staff was friendly and the even vacuumed out the car when they were done. The tiny things that go above and beyond make a big difference. read more

Lee at Safelite is a lifesaver. We traveled from Las Vegas to Boise for a soccer tournament. On the last stretch before arriving into town we picked up a crack in the windshield. Safelite was closed but the phone rep said to visit this location on Saturday. Lee was so helpful and professional. He took care of everything and had us on our way in less than 20 minutes. 7.5 hours. I would have been better off having a mobile unit come to my home or office. The manager apologized and explained they got busy.......... hmmmmm......I dropped my car off 30 minutes before they suggested (9:30am). One vehicle was in a bay, the lot was empty. We ran errands, I got my hair cut @ 11am(1 hour for that) came home did the weekend laundry and household chores.. did yard work. At 2:08 pm I received a text that they were starting on my vehicle. I'm thinking, cool... should be ready in an hour... nope.. i wanted to start dinner-- it was 4:20 pm.. had to wait. I finally called the number associated to the store and while I was navigating the automation, the store called me. It was explained that they got busier than expected and they were still calibrating the windshield. I asked if the car was going to be finished by the time they close at 5pm and was told it only needed 10-15 minutes. I'm 10 minutes away so left immediately and got my car. Still a very empty lot and only one vehicle in a bay. I'm not sure why it took 7.75 hours when a mobile service would have been 30 minutes to maybe an hour. I can appreciate being busy, but I feel a first in, first out policy should be a standard with the way they schedule. The manager was extremely polite and I didn't raise a big fuss, but I deal with Less Scwab and Commercial tire which are extremely busy with tires, brakes and inspections and never had them take more than 3 hours for their services. I love my new windshield but this facility needs better scheduling practices. read more

My Jeep had a big rock hit my windshield which left a quarter size large chip. My insurance company referred me to this Safelite location. We made an appointment and what a smooth experience. Our technician, Aaron, was absolutely fantastic. He looked at the chip, explained what he could do, and what it would look like when he was finished (to ensure I was ok with that). 20 minutes later my windshield looked fantastic. I also had my wiper blades replaced and was able to get an old car wash sticker removed (this is no easy feat if you have never tried to remove one). Fantastic customer service and great work! I would definitely recommend this location, but call for an appointment as they seem to be a busy place. read more

I was referred to Safelite AutoGlass by my insurance when I needed to have the windshield replaced on my car. The appointment was scheduled for July 27th, 2021. A windshield was put on my car but Safelite was unable to calibrate it. I was told a replacement windshield was being ordered and would be installed August 11th, 2021. Today is September 13th, 2021 and the windshield has not been replaced. When I contact the Boise location to find out about the status of the new windshield the person I am referred to talk to is always at lunch no matter what time I call. Evidently they never return from lunch as I do not receive a call back. Eventually I was able to contact a Safelite employee, Jill Hopper, who stated she is a manager. She assured me she would resolve the issue. She even bothered to put her promise in writing as she sent an email stating this. I haven't heard back from her. Extremely poor customer service. I would not ever recommend this company. read more

Had a big rock blast my windshield, then with the hot and cold weather it started to spread. Arranged windshield replacement online. Super easy, all fees upfront. Made my appointment. I was not happy with my most recent experience. I've used them in the past in other areas. They came out to do the repair and the windshield got several large cracks throughout, they did not have the capability of replacing the windshield for a week, they billed my insurance $80 then wanted to charge me an additional $500 (my deductible) to replace the entire thing. I then took my car to another Boise company that was able to replace my windshield the same day for $264.00 cash price. read more

These guys were quick. I was told they would text because I'd be at work but they called instead. It worked out ok. They came to my car and had the correct Toyota windshield I needed replaced from an airborne rock breaking my original one. The tech was done in the time frame he gave me. He was polite and efficient. The only real problem is, I'm only 5 feet tall and he put my rear view mirror a bit too high. Adjusted down as far as it will go is still too high for me to properly see out my back window. read more
