Absolutely worst customer service I've seen for any business. May 26th 2026- My install was very quick and fixed my leaking windshield problem. Too easy right? After my appointment they inform me that when they tried to take my antenna off, it snapped and broke. Not sure how that happens... they also informed me they broke a piece of my rear view mirror. Both parts were ordered and I had no problem waiting a COUPLE DAYS. Fast forward June 11th 2026; they tell me the rear view mirror part arrived and was ready for install. However, the antenna was going to be arriving a couple weeks later due to "back order delay" -per manager. I arrive at my appointment, technician goes in my truck, and says it's all good to go. I'm driving home and realize the piece he installed is just hanging from the rear view mirror and wasn't actually installed correctly. I get home and get a closer look and he broke it while trying to install it and didn't say anything. I couldn't go back due to them closing for the day. Fast forward JULY 21st 2026; I have now called them 14 times with no answer. I have called their customer service number in which they tell me they will send a manager my info. I've called that number again 2 weeks later and all they say is the same thing. They even sent an email to the REGIONAL MANAGER with my info. No call, no text, and no email. So not only am I out an antenna and rear view mirror mounting bracket backplate, but I've wasted hours trying to contact them. My windshield had a small spot that needed to be repaired after a car sped around me on the shoulder of the interstate kicking up all sorts of debris. Safelite got the appointment scheduled, had me in and out in under an hour and saved me a fortune since I didn't have to replace the entire windshield. There is a very small spot that is hardly noticeable. I'm so happy that I was able to have a repaired and then I won't have to worry about the small spot getting larger in the future. Had my windshield replaced 1/27. Barely 24 hours later this is my experience. Apparently they can't correctly replace a windshield. They didn't properly secure the fasteners to hold my windshield in place. While driving tonight I experienced severe road noise followed by shaking of the windshield. I stopped to check my car. Now one of the fasteners is damaged/barely attached to the car and the other is completely missing because it flew off on the highway while I was driving. Safelite came to my house to replace my front windshield. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I continued working while the staff member did the work. He invited me out to my vehicle to explain the issue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It looked perfect. When I finally drove the car, it was dark and raining. I could not see a thing and was uncomfortable driving. I wondered if it was the new windshield or the new windshield wipers I had paid for. I added Rain-X before driving the next time it rained. When it did, it was still an iffy experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After responding to a survey, they invited me to make a follow-up appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Upon arrival weeks later, the technician spent about 15 minutes on my vehicle. He said he knew what the issue was and immediately went about fixing it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He explained the process of the little circle behind the rearview mirror and how it must be tightly adhered to the windshield.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] With that, my second visit was over. It hasn't rained yet, so I am still waiting to see the improvement between my wipers and the new windshield. read more

I had a tiny crack on my windshield, so I wanted to be proactive and get a treatment done. We're talking less than a size of a penny. I called Safelite and got an appointment done. Appointment went well, but as soon as I started driving, my less than a penny sized crack turned into this. Called Safelite on the phone and got told I needed to a do a full windshield replacement, which would be $900. They refuse to refund me for a service that doesn't work, but would rather me spend more money with them and credit it there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do not care about you! I paid to get my windshield repaired and it could have been done better with a $12 kit from Amazon! This is ridiculous!!!!

Straight trash, you are better off getting a bunch h of kids to replace your windshield. 1st tech horrible attitude, unprofessional and not trained. Also took over a week to replace and did not bring the windshield wipers, but used the discount to cover their horrible, unprofessional ans rude service. read more

Worst customer service ever. It is impossible to speak to a live person. Even if you chat with them, then they tell you that they are not able to help you with that and you need to go online and figure it out yourself. So in the end, I was not able to get any service. read more

Dropped my car at 9:30 was told it would take about 2 hours and I could wait. I said Ill drop, they said I would get a call in a couple hours. Heard nothing so at 2 started calling to get an idea of timing since I live 30+ min away and had to get a ride. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Spent 40 minutes on hold with the outsourced phone answering system they use, and after being disconnected 4 times after being on hold 10 minutes each time, someone tells me they know nothing and cant get the shop on the phone, said they dont answer at the shop because they are too busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Its now almost 5 and they close at 5 and still nothing. Called again, no one answered so had to call the other number which sends you to the answering service saying they would try to call the shop but if they didnt answer for me they probably wont get them either.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They did end up getting them on the phone and connected me, only for her to tell me that my car wont be ready til "6:30-7" but I need to be there by 6 because the receptionist was leaving and I needed to be there by then to do the paperwork...then sit and wait for the car to be done. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had to cancel my dinner plans this evening and will now be leaving to drive in rush hr an hr away to sit there and wait for my car.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have never experienced this horrible of customer service ever and will NEVER use this place again or recommend it to anyone. Update: After then driving in rush hour an hour away, I got there by 6 and after waiting 15 minutes, was told they cannot calibrate it and they will have to replace the glass again and I will have to bring it back after the glue dries in 7 days and the electronic features on my car will not be usable until then. So I had to reschedule and will have to take it back to do the whole thing again. Update: The next day, I get in the car to pick up my granddaughter from daycare, during Hurricane Helene (lots of rain) and have no working windshield wipers so the car was undrivable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After spending over an hr and a half on hold with several different people because the shop wouldn't answer again, they finally got in touch with the shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is after I was late picking her up after borrowing a car and got in trouble for being late, they shop tells me they will send a tech out to fix them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Call me back telling me no techs are in the area and the tech from the day before will drove out to my house to fix it. The experience with this company both times has been just a project from hell. Last year when they installed the windshield, the tech put so much glue around the rain sensor that it would just start whenever the sun hit a certain way. I had to turn the auto sensors off until sundown. I called a bunch of times and it was never a convenient time for me as I travel a great deal. Skip to Apr 21, a golf ball sized rock from a truck hit the windshield (Dash Cam picked it up) and now I need it replaced. Happened Friday. I called Safelite and spoke with a CSR. After my explanation, she said to put in under the WARRANTY section of the website and even gave me the link (spelled it out). I set it up. Apr 23 12-5. APR 23, I gotta call around 0830 and the tech was on his way. I told him just what I told the CSR and he stopped in his tracks. "If there is new damage you will have to do a cash purchase." I said I told the CSR just this and this is the direction she pointed me too. He said, " I'm going call my base and see what we can do." He called back and said they can not do it under the warranty and I have to do it a cash install. Go and reschedule the appointment and when they tell me, I'll come and install it." His words. When I set the appointment up, and contacted him, he replied (actual text), "+1 (704) XXX-XXX6: Sounds good I'll see you then Me: No. It's for Thursday and per the instructions I was supposed to be done today. +1 (704) XXX-XXX6: They don't do same day appointments that's why but Thursday is my route so it should be me coming out to you." I am now trying to call the office and the automated service is so limited and no direct way to contact an office or CSR again without doing the dance and the auto-teller misunderstanding what you say. Finally got someone and she said to hold on she would see and hung up (or got disconnected (hope that was it). I called back and after do the PHONE AUTODANCE again for 5 minutes, I got in and this yawning woman answered (I mean loud I was out all night yawn that lasted about 10 secs). I explained what was going on and she said hold on let me contact that office, after getting my cell number. Long hold time again. She now answers and again sounds like she was at the same party or whatever. Very unenthusiastically, she saying she needs my info and she will be right back. No asking to hold just click. (Playing very goofy hold music of banjos and something else). I nowf ind out that Sleepy CSR has sent me to the warranty office per Sade, the next Safelite Rep. Sade tells me she trying to reach out to the local office near me. Per Sade (who has been the only good thing during this event.) ,Mark Wagner is the office manager. Sade said she sent a email to the manager to contact me about get this done today SINCE, Safelite was the reason why it was set up this way. Its an hour and a half later and I an still waiting to here from the manager and he never reached out at all. Thursday came and they took the whole day but, Smail came and install the glass and gave me a really good CSR experience. Smail and Sade helped me out and did quality Customer Service work and was the only bright spot on this event. They lied to me!!! After taking my car there to get inspected so that i could schedule an appointment they scheduled it and when i came back for my appointment after waiting for 1.5 hours they came back and told me that they didn't have the correct windshield. Then told me i wouldn't be charged for it. Then as i was getting in my car they came back and said they did have it. I was done signed off and i left!! The next day i received multiple calls as if i walked out without paying and harassed about paying for it! Never again will i use that location of not the business at all! read more

I have used other auto glass companies before and will only use Safelite going forward. They had my windshield ordered and in their shop in a few days.....it took a competitor company 13 weeks to get the windshield in. Put in a damaged windshield and tried to over charge me.....leaks when it rains. Never offered to replace for free, just told me can't help you when I called. Call 2x and left vm, nothing but a leaky windshield that I have to find someone to fix for a 2nd time. read more
