I requested a windshield replacement which was offered within a week of my call. The glass has been great for the value and I'm happy about the lifetime warranty on it. Unfortunately, there was a fair amount of residue left on the windows along with debris inside the car on the dash. I also noticed some grease on the inside fabric. Where to begin. 26 months ago this place, on Glenway, replaced a back window in my 2020 Ridgeline. When they installed it they damaged the threshold by taking the back seat out and then scratched the side of the truck when they got it out. I had to take it to a body shop to repair the significant ding in the threshold and the scratches in the paint. Now, the seal on the window has failed. My carpet in the back seat was soaked. When I pried a bit of the carpet up there was at least 1/2 inch of water standing under the carpet. I contacted them on a Monday they said they had Friday or Saturday available. I asked if they could help me get my vehicle dried out somewhere and they said a manager would call me back. No one ever called so I spent a week trying to wick the water out from under the carpet while drying the carpet itself. Today was my appointment. While I was away from my phone Safelite called me but left no message. I had been receiving texts and emails and responded that I was keeping the appointment. After taking some time off work for the appointment I showed up, which was a drive of 23 minutes from my home. When I got there I was told the part was in transit and he 'tried to call me that morning'. He said he didn't leave me a message because it was a crazy morning but the only other customer in the shop said otherwise. The only other customer also said his appointment was at 7 but the acting manager was late. His excuse was he had a hangover. I asked if there was anything he could do for me today because it's supposed to rain. They ended up putting some crash plastic stuff over the window because I do have to drive my vehicle and I do not have a garage. So, we'll see what happens when the part comes in. I would encourage anyone who reads this to not go to Glenway Safelite. There appears to be more favorable reviews for the other locations. Or better yet, shop local. read more

Unfortunately leaving a poor review for now. Had my windshield replaced today, looked great when I went to picked it up at 3:00pm when dropping it off at 7:30am with Brian who was quite nice. Upon getting home I noticed the molding / trim on the passenger side was quite loose. Tried to call with no answer and called the 800 number which said they were closed. Had to reschedule, via the internet, warranty work for a week from today in-shop which is an hour away... A little frustrated right now. Will give a better review if resolved. read more

Went to the Western Hills shop 1st. After some discussion it was decided that their facility wasn't capable to make replacement and necessary calibration. They referred us to the Fairfield office Much better experience. Drove 30 miles in heavy rain but in was worth it. The lady at the desk researched our situation and advised us that we would likely be there all day. She looked into the Florence location- much closer and booked us in there. Scheduled an appointment online. Confirmed the appt the day before by text. Technician was to arrive between 12 and 5 today. When I had not heard anything by 3PM, I called the customer service number where they confirmed that our technician was at another job and would be texting us when he was on his way. 4:30PM I get a text stating my appointment has been rescheduled for A WEEK FROM NOW -AND, I HAVE TO BRING IT TO THEIR SHOP instead of doing service at my home as originally scheduled. So I sat home all afternoon waiting for the manager Brian, at the Glenway location, to cancel my appointment at the last minute - No explanation. I called customer service again who then tried to reach out directly to Brian, but NO ONE PICKED UP THE PHONE - and yes it was before 5PM closing time. There are plenty of other reliable and reputable companies for windshield replacement, so stay away from Safelite. I actually probably dodged a bullet, because with this attitude towards customers, they likely would have done a terrible job. Thank goodness I did not fall for their PRE-PAY option or who knows whether I'd see a refund. read more

These people don't care and they make that very clear. Incredible apathy and lack of professionalism. I have a chip in the glass trim piece of my rear class sliding window on my Ram. I reported this to my insurance and they made all of the arrangements. I get a call from Safelight, and they arrange to come to my home to replace the glass on Wednesday. I work it out so I am close to home all day so I can get there. They call me Tuesday evening, and inform me that they can't do it at my house. Reason being, because the break is in the trim piece they have to replace the entire glass and they have to do that in their shop. Not a big deal, would have been nice to have a bit more notice, but mistakes happen and I understand. They get an appointment for me Friday morning, drop off by 9:30 AM. So I take off work to drive an hour, and have my wife follow me to pick me up. I get in there and tell them who I am, the guy at the front counter immediately says, "I hope we have the right part", like he is just used to them ordering the wrong part. A technician comes out and looks at my truck, and tells me, "We have to replace the whole glass for that." I know that! That is why I had to drive up here! The guy that called me told me that! They informed me that they only ordered a pane and they can't take care of it until Monday and I will have to bring it back. I informed him that I can't take off work again Monday. I can leave my truck here if they can bring it back to me when they are done. They told me they cannot do that. They offered no apology, or viable solution. In fact the guy at the front counter tried to blame it on me. He actually said, "You told us the wrong part!" The technician in the background did admit that they messed up, yet offered no apology. I never even talked to them! They clearly knew that they needed to order the entire glass, they told me that was why I have to drive to Cincinnati! The guy at the front counter was entirely rude! Aaron just arrived at my home to replace the cracked windshield on my Chevy Tahoe. First thing he did was explain how the car would recalibrate itself. His explanation was thorough and clear. Guess what? Yesterday, I called Chevy to make an appointment to recalibrate the car. They scheduled me for tomorrow morning and would charge me $100!! Just called Chevy and asked, "Will my Tahoe recalibrate itself after I get a new windshield?" The guy said yes. So, I asked,"Then why would one of your servicemen make a 3 hour appointment and plan to charge me $100 w/o offering this information?" He was so embarrassed...rightly so! I definitely feel that the wiper blades are over priced way way to expensive. I had my windshield replaced last Saturday awesome job no complaints at but I went back this morning to get new blades cause I didn't get them changed with the window installation but had I'd know the price upfront I would have not gotten them not for no $30 a piece $64 for blades that's ridiculous and that's a fact no debating it period. But I do understand and appreciate quality but not for those though maybe if they'd threw in a can of that window cleaner and box hand towels for free them maybe lol but all in all this the greatest place to go for sure with your car window needs. I wish I could give a zero to Safelite. Be warned if you have an European SUV do not go to Safellite in Fairfield, OH. They replaced the glass but didn't recalibrate my wipers correctly. The damage took an hour of shop labor to fix. Their warranty is limited. I would much rather pay someone else to fix their error instead of allowing th'em to touch my car again! read more

Installation was fine. Professional. Developed hard to trace leak over time. Went back after I realized there was a guarantee. The guys at the shop were nice. They checked it out, but kind of gave me the runaround. They pointed to the sun roof. Gave me a lot of bogus info, just to deflect away from their responsibility. They were not busy either. They blew air from a compressor at the window from inside and did not see a leak. They expected the gasket to blow in the wind. I left, went home, got the hose and systematically diagnosed the problem was a leak in the window on the side: the urethane bead was buckled in. I fixed it with pricey urethane and its now fine. Just wondering why I'm so good at finding a leak when I don;t do it for a living. They are dialing it in with bs explanations. Press them on a solution if you have a problem. read more

My car window was busted out Saturday night, and Sunday I was able to make my appt online for Monday, and they also let me prepay, which I appreciated since I wasn't paying for it lol. I have a limited-edition Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and cracked my windshield. My Safeco insurance agent was very unpleasant and insistent that to cover cost over my deductible, I would have to use an aftermarket windshield. The reps at Safelite knew I wanted a OEM windshield because of its special edging with a Jeep silhouette climbing a hill etc. and they installed the OEM and processed the claim with no issues. I got my window bashed in and my purse stolen. Already stressful enough right? When Safelite came to fix my window, I had prepaid for the service prior to the appointment. Paying out of pocket. The technician came to my apartment to start work on replacing my window. About an hour and half later I get a call from him saying "I have some bad news." Not what you want to hear. He tells me that when he went to take my window off of the regulator (the motor of your window to make it go up and down), due to "too much lock-tight" on the screws, he snapped both of the screw heads off. I'm immediately perplexed and have a million questions, but can't even process them because he proceeds to tell me that I will need to pay for a new regulator before he can replace my window........ He told me that I would have to pay for the regulator that HE broke.......I can barely even process this because I look up what it would cost for a new regulator + the work to replace one and it is roughly $800. The technician basically just said sorry and that he would tape up my window for the time being since he cant replace it. This is the dead of winter by the way. The technician leaves and I am immediately calling Safelite to try and get some answers. I've never experienced such rude and careless customer service. They kept telling me it is my Jeep's manufacturer fault for placing too much lock tight on the screws. I ask them so why when I got a previous window replaced by Safelite that there was NO issue whatsoever. Why was there not the same amount of lock tight on those screws if that truly is the issue? He said I don't know and told me I didn't use Safelite for my previous window. I said yes I did?? I have the receipt from that window right here. And he continued to argue with me saying "ma'am no you didnt." I asked why did the technician break one of the screws off and the PROCEED to break another one off??? He said I don't know I wasn't there. I asked how am I responsible for this when it was your technician who broke my window???? He said it is the Jeep manufacturers fault, not our technician. I then asked to speak with a manager. He said well Im an assistant manager. I said ok well then can I talk to someone that can help me??? He said the manager will call me tomorrow. The manager called me first thing in the morning saying very frankly and without remorse or apology for his staff - We will be ordering a new regulator & absorbing the cost. Obviously I was relieved but why was this not stated to me first thing when the technician broke my window or when I spoke with the assistant manager?? Not ONE person said "sorry." The manager then said however the regulator is on back order and we will let you know when its in. I went 4.5 weeks without a window in the DEAD of winter. I do not recommend Safelite. They are careless, rude, and not the people you want to trust your car with. read more
