We had exceptional service at Safelite in Davenport, Iowa. They replaced the back window on our van quickly and conveniently. Afterwards the van door wouldn't open. I was ready to go to battle with them when they said it wasn't caused by them. The technician was calm and polite and told us how to resolve the problem with Chrysler. They even made an appointment for us. As it turns out the fault was with the design of the door and was resolved and paid for by Chrysler. read more

I had a broken drivers side window replaced on my vehicle. made an appointment for Wednesday July 3rd. we were quoted $243 online and was told $357. we got rescheduled because they broke the glass that was supposed to replace my window. we were rescheduled again for Friday July 5th and when the technician arrived he brought with him the wrong window. we were told that they have to now order the correct one and can't get it in until July 13th. they are far from a professional company. they messed up and have not tried to make it right besides offering to put plastic wrap on our door. I told the rep that the driver had already left and she asked me to run out and stop him I told the rep hes gone the rep said she was going to call him put me on hold got back to me and said he didn't have the window wrap with him on the truck so I would have to bring our vehicle into the shop to get that done at that point with no discount. I told the rep they were unprofessional and I will take my business elsewhere read more

Poor customer service, calls to confirm your appointment, just to call and cancel it, then makes you wait a whole nother week to get another one. So would have went some where else if I would have known all this trouble and headache was going occur... 2 weeks just to get a Crack in a windshield fixed... that's crazy! read more

This service is awful. My passenger side window got smashed in by a young kid with a rock and I was hoping to rely on Safelite to come repair my window. While they did technically repair the window they not only broke the inner workings of the door, but now the window falls out of place every time I try to roll it down. They will not return my calls and I have emailed them multiple times with no response. read more

Had an appointment scheduled from 8-noon I have been waiting all morning I thought how convenient they'll come to my house. But I called at 1040 and was wondering how long it would be because I do have things to do the lady said she was going to call whoever is suppose to be here and said I would hear from them in a half an hr it's been an hr and it's almost noon I am not waiting here past noon. Always fast and easy service. The gentleman helping me the other day was very courteous and helpful. I asked about an Enterprise employee discount and they didn't have a code for that, but the man helping me gave me a nice discount anyway. Professionally affable, direct and honest. Process was arranged by insurance. Upon my arrival, (arranged overnight, no less!), the window replacement was already arranged and minimal paperwork was necessary. I picked up the car 3 hours prior to expectations. Work was clean (broken glass well cleaned up and exterior around the tail-gate window area was cleaned, as well). Impressive, easy-going business in a time of disconnect and distrust. I wrote a review of these folks on google maps. I thought google still aggregated reviews from multiple sites, but nope. I read reviews here and they are contrary to my experience. So I am copying that review here. These folks KNOW customer service, professionalism and customer retention. I would not hesitate to recommend Safelite to family and friends. There initially was a scheduling adherence issue that inconvenienced and frustrated me to the point I asked to speak to a manager to convey my feelings.Everyone makes mistakes, however it is how the mistake is remedied that defines a person or company. I am both amazed and impressed by their professionalism and willingness to EARN a customer's business. I emphasize EARN because all too often I deal with businesses (utilities, big box stores, doctors, etc) to whom I pay money for service and am treated as though they are doing me a favor. This experience was quite the opposite. At no point did I feel patronized or condescended to by any of the staff I dealt with. In fact, in hindsight, this is how I imagine a celebrity would be treated. (Thank you!) If you find yourself in need of auto glass service, SafeLite seems to be a sure bet. If every SafeLite location and staff offers the same caliber of service, then SafeLite IS a sure bet. read more

My 1996 Ranger pick up had a crack growing in the right side of the windshield which was out of line of sight however I thought I might get it fixed. I checked around on the internet and would up wit a complete replacement of $204. including tax. I set up an appointment for Monday the 12th. I got a call from a representative offering me either $25 or free wiper blades if i wanted to change my appointment to Saturday 10th. Which I accepted an 8AM appointment. I went to their shop which is near my house in Davenport, IOWA. I waited in their waiting room a couple hours. After it was done they presented me with a bill of $131. I Gave them a copy of the price of $204. quote off on-line and mentioned they had promised free wiper blades. She then gave me a bill of $220. No matter what i said made a difference. Getting frustrated I paid and left not wanting to have a fight. When I got home I noticed that my remote start antenna was just slung over the drivers visor and not put back onto the glass. I took some 3M tape and attached it myself at home. All in all I was provided bid $204 including parts, tax, labor, and free wiper blades. For some reason it came out $120. ( I saved all the e-mails,) I know it is only $16 however after emailing corporate and the local office it seem I have lost the $16. They don't want to do anything. The sales reps are pretty cut throat. I would suggest to any one to get the quote and pay before they do anything so they do not change it. read more

Do not rely on them for accurate information. I called twice to inquire about fixing a small rock hit on my front passenger side window. At the time, it was about the size of a dime...the day after it happened. The first person I spoke to was so vague and uninterested in my questions, that I felt they didn't even want my business. But I left my name anyway for a manager to call back, but they didn't. Not only did they tell me it had to be replaced....they said no one would repair it. I was given a totally false explanation as to why side windows can't be repaired. So after waiting until the next day for a manager to call, I called back. A different sales person told me a different reason as to why they don't repair....only replace. So I called my dealer, only to be told that they NEVER use Safelite....because of the false info. And shoddy service they had been given, on numerous occasions! So, now 2 days later, the small rock chip had exceeded a foot in length! Now I was stuck replacing my window! My dealer referred my to EXTREME AUTO GLASS and of course they said that it could have been repaired for around $80!!! Instead, I had to replace for $283!!! I cannot believe I was duped by this bunch! Never again! read more

I would give the Davenport Safelite zero stars if yelp would allow it. My car was only two weeks old when a rock hit the windshield on the interstate. So after a few calls I decided to use Safelite. I scheduled the install and had it done without any problems until I went to pick it up. I paid and went to inspect it and noticed that the install was sloppy, so I brought the 'technician' out to explain it. He said to bring it back in after it had time to cure and that he could trim the excess adhesive. I reluctantly agreed and left. I looked at the bill later and noticed that the amount they charged was different that their quote. It took a half hour on the phone to straighten that out. I just wanted to make sure that they put the right one on. I went back in after the cure time, and thankfully got a better tech that said that they need to reinstall (that trimming wasn't appropriate). This made me happy, I thought they were going to fix it right. After rescheduling twice (more delays due to them not being able to get the replacement windshield in) I got the second one in. This install looked good on the outside but not so much inside the car. There are dirty fingerprints on the A pillars inside the car!! Their lack of professionalism is terrible. Next, after about a week, I tried to use the windshield washer and it wouldn't work so I scheduled a service at the dealer. They asked me if I'd had the windshield replaced because 6 of the 8 clips used to hold the cowl on were broken and the hose underneath was unhooked. I can't fault all Safelite locations but Davenport failed me multiple times. Don't go there! read more
