Awful.......... waited weeks for the salesmen Steve and Alex to fill what they promised me as part of my deal. Had the Cadillac for 4 days 2024 XT5 trim on drivers side came off took it to the dealers they said they would take care of it but later that day told me the cost of it and did I want it or not!! They promised tint on 2 front windows and a full tank of gas has yet to be done. The car was paid for in full cash!!! Maybe that was my mistake. read more

I will NEVER do business with this company again. Use extreme caution if taking your vehicle in for service. Be sure you understand the fair market cost of your repairs with competitors. All I can say is they are extremely suspicious and IMO should be avoided at all cost. My service contacts name was W___. My experience involves them calling other repair shops to outsource my repairs. They were then going to charge me 2-3x what it could be repaired for elsewhere. Instead of being honest, they (LOL) made mistakes quoting me for double parts and services...all hidden in shop jargon. Fortunately, I saw through this since I am a DIY mechanic and knowledgeable enough to know that they are breaking apart a kit and charging me individually for parts they bought in a kit. For example, bolts that were included with a suspension part. They wanted to charge me $100 for 2 bolts - that were actually included with the (quote) line 2 parts. I cross referenced the parts with Napa, since they are a Napa shop. I was able to find the kits, but not the bolts in (quote) line 3? I wonder why? Because they were going to try to charge me $100 for some $4 bolts. After declining further service, W___ then wanted to jack up the cost of inspecting in which he had said would be $125. This then turned into $212.50 or something.. I forwarded the email that clearly showed Wade stated my quote included "everything but the $125 diag fee". I've left out several more details for brevity. I can't call my experience with "Preferred" anything but NEVER AGAIN. read more

I would give it a zero if I could took in for basic rotor change/service left with a blown air ride suspension due to lack of knowledge about proper lift protocol. Purchased a 2015 Yukon Denali that I thought was a good vehicle. After only a couple of months, the car is leaking oil and antifreeze. Take it to a mechanic and it needs new struts, brakes, Cadillac converter, the list goes on. Shame on me for not taking it to a mechanic prior to getting raped in the ass by Cody Martin at Preferred Automotive on Lima Road. Do yourself a favor and go to a reputable dealership. At least they give the vehicles oil changes and inspections prior to selling them. Absolutely horrible service. Came in with $2000 down and a 650 credit score and got screwed on a buy here/pay here loan. $10,000 for a 2009 Impala with 140,000 miles. And when I got my vehicle after I had my loaner for two weeks, the brakes were grinding first week I had it back and the transmission is slipping. I had to put brakes and rotors on all four wheels. Also the car had a key fob that they said they would pay for, but when I took it to the programmer, they said I had to pay for it. These guys are thieves. I did buy a car here and during the test drive the service soon light came on. Should've been the first red flag. Afterward, did the car wash. Nobody was manning the car wash and it didn't wash anything. Beware of this if you fall for their trap of free car washes for the lifetime of the car. When I drove the car home, the rest of the kinks they were hiding showed. The windshield is cracked, the speakers half work, and so on. They will rush you in because they know they are liars and will provide you with the worst car possible and steal from you. Beware of this place, not a good place to shop at all. Horrible experience. Had my shifter linkage cable go out on my corvette and brought it here. (Horrible mistake) should have went to the dealer right off the bat but I had a 10% off labor cost through AAA and figured I'd give them an opportunity. After initial pickup the car wasn't reading that the shifter was going back into gear so I had to return. A little inconvenient that they didn't fix it properly the first time but whatever. Got it back and there was no error message anymore. Fast forward to a few days later and I'm stranded at the gas station because the car isn't shifting in/out of gear. Wouldn't trust these mechanics with any vehicle let alone my corvette. Hard lesson to learn read more

Went to Preferred to look for a car, specifically a Toyota Corolla, or a Honda Civic. Paul Parker helped me right away to find what I was looking for. He showed me a 2019 Toyota Corolla that they had in the lot. He let me test drive it and after I drove it I knew that's the car I wanted. After doing all the paper work and after they got the call washed off and ready for me to drive home, Paul noticed a scratch on the door and some marks on the hood that weren't seen before since the car hadn't been washed off. He told me that he would get those taken care of for me. I would recommend preferred to anybody looking for a used car, and definitely recommend Paul Parker as a salesman. I'm 60 and have bought more than a few cars from used car lots in my years. Every. Single. Time. It was a wrestling match of of wits, petty, pointy, distrust. Not here at Preferred. I found the truck I liked on a google search and one of the choices was Preferred Auto. Their truck was my second choice but stopped there first to check on one unit. Toyota Tundra pickup truck. Alex met us outside, but I was ready for his used car lot tactics. He was super nice, but I knew he was up to something. I told him I want to take the truck for a drive and he immediately agreed? Let me grab a plate... Ok, this guy was up to something. Heh heh, can't fool this old timer. We took the truck for a couple of hours, ran it by my mechanic. Advice from mechanic: Great truck, good price, go for it. Back to the lot... Alex met us and Jake the sales manager and then, holy shit, Jay the owner pops in! He's the dude you see on The Preferred Auto TV commercials. It was funny. Jake is his son. I made my offer, they counter offered with a vey fair price and we all shook hands. As it turned out also, my wife Lisa, knew Jay from high school, so that added another hour of shooting the breeze. I know this is my longest review. The buying experience at this car lot was so honest and upfront just super impressed me. Alex was great and thoughtful. Trust me, this is a great group of people selling cars! Well folks if your credit is less than perfect and that means just about everyone then this is a highly recommend auto dealer. Next to new and used your options are a plenty. In house financing and banks available. If you are trying to rebuild your credit it's a good place to start. Warranties and as is sales are available. This is the home of "The 100,000 mile warranty" on used cars. They also have their own service department. You can always get a nice car wash here or a good cup of coffee. As is any car lot buyer beware if you only qualify for an as is no warranty automobile. What the hay? Life is full of surprises so stop in and try working out a deal for yourself. If you look deeper this car was registered as a total loss by the insurance company because of flood damage. Sadly, this is a business that has a lot of good people working for it and a lot of bad... We used to trust them for repairs and even vehicle purchases. We began to see a decline in service a few years ago, and it declined to the point that we were being treated very poorly: cars in for repairs being left sitting not yet evaluated, then in process, then waiting for parts, then still being worked on, but the worst of it was the terrible communication. No outreach from them; if I didn't phone, I would have no information. The last straw was when my adult child bought a vehicle from them, and after MONTHS of excuses they were still unable to produce title paperwork. We had to begin working with an attorney before Preferred took back the vehicle and refunded the money. Guess what? A few days later, it's back for sale! WHAT? Couldn't find the title for nearly 6 months but after a couple of days it's ready to pawn off on some other vulnerable buyer? Just wrong. read more

Went in for oil change & tire rotation on 8/21/17. Be careful when you ask them to rotate your tires. Have 3 Firestone tires and one Michelin on my Toyota Sienna. So to begin, for a place that requires a mask, the sales rep that tried to help me wore his beneath his nose and then eventually lowered it completely. We stood awkwardly outside for 10 minutes while he asked a few things, and didn't answer any questions. We went inside finally and he just left me with a credit application. Once he was free, he returned to me and started asking a few questions. After a few he decided to tell me that I could qualify for nothing. After I told him that's all I needed to know; he proceeded to show me all of the vehicles they had outside of my price range. Very unhappy with this company. Replaced a spark plug on my van, that rejected itself out the motor. All they did was replace the spark plug and coil. Week later did the same thing with the same plug. When I called them. Told me to take it somewhere else. I was stranded on the highway. I had it towed to a Dealership where they fixed the problem the right way. Which cost me more money. If they had fixed the problem right the first time. Well for starters, they called us to buy our car back, we were in market for a new vehicle so we went in. They offered over blue book, we did a new credit app, were approved for an even better rate than we previously had with our last car through them, we agreed on first payment takes the car home, but they closed before we could complete everything so we made arrangements to return. Only the very next day they called to leave a voice-mail stating we needed to get credit cards and we needed to increase our down payment considerably. Now how does that happen in a matter of less than 24 hours when we knew the specifics before we left the day before? When we tried calling back, they hung up on my husband when he nicely was trying to figure out what happened and why. When I tried calling back, my calls repeatedly went to a generic voice-mail box, same for my husband when he tried again after being hung up on. After buying 3 vehicles from them one would think they'd treat repeat customers better, but no, they treated us like crap and wasted our time. They were the ones who reached out to us, yet when it seems when they couldn't make enough money off us they "ghosted" us. They wouldn't even answer their phones to answer simple questions as to why they decided to back out of a deal. Bad business practice. Don't waste your time, they don't give a crap about you, they just want your money and want to screw you with a high interest rate, and when you don't get a high interest like they had hoped, they kill the deal, and are rude to you. read more

recently purchased a vehicle for my wife, Had an issue to start with the paint job, didn't see it originally because the car was dirty. They sent it out to be taken care of. It was a little better but not corrected. Asked if they would detail before delivery. Said yes, got the car and it still had grass in the back seat . Spoke with a manager and the general manager. The GM response was what do you expect from a 4 year old car. I asked the Sales person what they did to the car when arrived, like changing oil and inspection. He said they changed the oil and did their 100 point inspection. We have had the car for a few weeks and it seemed to drive alright. My wife was coming home from a visit with the grand kids in Carmel and the Change Oil soon light came on. On had a little over a 1000 miles on since delivery. Had her take in in for service the next day. Instructed her to have them check the oil level, also use Mobile one Synthetic . She was told that the reason the light came on was not low oil but dirty oil. That tells me that the dealer lied again. Worst buying experience I have ever had. read more
