Ordered 4 tires from them. Installation appointment was confirmed. On morning of installation they called but didn't leave a message. When I returned the call I was told that my tires were not there and they were unsure when they would be delivered and the proceeded to try to upsell for an additional $300.00. Ordered 4 tires from Tire Rack and had shipped here. There was a delay in the tires getting here due to weather. When they came in they squeezed me in during a snow storm and took care of me. The in-store folks were super nice, communicated great to make sure all the folks waiting had status. The shop area had a group of young guys HUSTLING!! Nice to see young people motivated! Since coming to Fort Wayne the whole culture here is vastly different than the north east in a great way! My experience at this Tire Rack reinforces that perception. The young installer even came and found me by name to cross check with me white letter in or out. Install was fast and the same installer parked my truck out front and was polite and wished me safe travels, like he meant it! I am impressed, thanks guys! read more

Twice I bought two tires they sent to me were trash When they ship two tires they use this nylon strapping to keep them together The problem is it breaks the metal bead / rim on the tire and when it's mounted the tire will not hold air They are garbage I ordered two snow tires and two all seasons a few months before I intended to use them Since I didn't find this out within a month of them shipping to me I am SOL about $350 flushed down the toilet and had to pay the dump to take them too Buying locally and save headache read more

I purchased four tires and four wheels at discount tires at 4411 industrial rd, FT. Wayne IN a few weeks ago and they gave me a fabulous deal on both wheels & tires. I had small issue with one of the wheels but the assistant manger Dmitriy immediately got on the phone and got a second wheel delivered very quickly. I was in and out in a very short time. Customer service seems pretty good compared to other discount tire locations which are horrible. Employees are nice and helpful. I got 2 brand new tires bought and replaced in about 1 hour and I was on my way. Tires have held up great and I've had 0 issues since. Phones ring and ring. They want customers to reserve online - there's got to be an easier way to streamline their workflow here. It usually takes at least 15 minutes just to input information into the computer. If you go in on a Saturday, expect to be there for at least 3 hours. They have a good product and offer decent prices but the company doesn't seem to be run very efficiently. read more

Stopped in after work today without an appointment and they were able to install 4 new tires within 90 minutes. Gordon was absolutely wonderful in helping me to find the right tires. They get the tires on and have a fine selection to choose from. Deals and free lifetime rotate and balance. What's not to like right? thin profit margins at times, good for you and bad for them. They don't mind taking a beating once in awhile...To get them tires moving off the shelves and onto your hoop-tee, right? They balance and rotate my tires, install tire sensors reasonable, they take it over the head at times. Other times they rip off nice old ladies! They got to make some money right? A little disappointed with this location. I don't live in this state but I needed tires. Been buying tires from Discount Tire for probably 15 years or so. My family has 4 cars. I always use the Discount Tire credit card because I like the 90 days no interest. When I came into this location I didn't have the card on me and I remember that happening in the past and was always able to prove my identity on the phone with no issue. This time the sales person told me I could not do it that way. Which I come to find out isn't true. He said I have to apply for a new card which I did. Now, I have 2 Discount Tire credit cards which is ridiculous. I'm sure he gets some sort of commission otherwise why lie? read more

Given a good deal on a tire, but only because they refused to mount a perfectly good tire they claimed was bad. Took that same tire to two other shops and they said it was fine. You might find a good deal here but expect to be pressured into an upsell you don't want nor need. read more

Beware!!!! I was in town for an event and found myself with a small nail in one of my run-flat tires. A tire that has less than 3,000 miles on it. Because this location was closest to where I was, it seemed like a logical and convenient place to get it repaired. What a poor choice it was to bring my vehicle to this Discount Tire. My first clue that I should have immediately taken my vehicle somewhere else, was when the employee measured the tread depth on the three other tires that had NOTHING to do with the tire that needed the repair! Once the tire was dismounted from the rim, another employee tried to tell me they couldn't fix the tire because of a small (less than 1 inch) blemish in the rubber on the inside of the bead of the tire. The employee claimed that "it had to have happened when the tire was initially mounted". It could have also happened when he dismounted the tire! It took some convincing, but they finally agreed to remount the tire on the rim. Almost two hours after arriving, I left with a tire that still had a small nail in it, leaking air, as I tried to find a reputable shop to actually fix my tire. Bottom line, BEWARE going to this business. The appearance from my perspective is they are overstepping and are trying to drum up extra sales to pad their bottom line. Unfortunately for them, I worked at an automotive shop in college and spotted the ruse from the beginning! I'm sure there are plenty of great alternatives in Fort Wayne that will take care of you without trying to scam you or up sell you. I for one, will NEVER spend any of my hard earned cash at this Discount Tire! read more

I went to at least 5 tire places before going to Discount Tire on Industrial Road. The only quotes I received at the 5 tire places was for "summer" tires for my Porsche that were rated between 20K-25K miles. Logan at Discount Tire quoted me some "all season" Continental and Michelin tires rated between 50K-55K miles respectively. I ordered the Michelins and these tires arrived 4 business days later. Kayla scheduled me in that day. The process was efficient. I will go back there in a heartbeat! read more

I had 4 tires put on my 2014 Lincoln MKZ by this store. I will say that I have had zero issues with Discount up until this point. As I was saying, I had 4 tires ordered in and put on my 2014 Lincoln MKZ. I picked up the car and left the store only to notice my car was pulling "VERY" badly. There wasn't any notification of an issue when I picked up the vehicle. I called them the next day to explain the issue I was having so they told me to drop the car off and they'd take a look at it. I received a call about an hour later saying I had slight bends in 2 of my rims and they'd moved the bend to the back of the car and I wouldn't notice it as much. I have an AWD car here, let's keep that in mind. I didn't have a SINGLE issue with my rims before I sent my car into Discount to be worked on. They bent my rims and then tried to hide the fact by not telling me when I picked up the car the first time. I didn't get an offer to fix the issue. This was POOR customer service and POOR work. Don't know why no one has reviewed this discount tire yet so here goes. I've had two experiences with them. The first was In January this year and the second was today. My first experience with them was pretty great, I have a Dodge Ram 1500 with some giant maximum terrain tires that are expensive to say the least. I had a bad alignment and one of my tires wore really unevenly and on top of that would not hold air. I was not in a spending mood when I went in, but this being a 4x4 truck you must keep all the same tires or you'll really mess things up. Long story short they knew I didn't want to spend the money on a new tire for this thing (would have been over $300 for one tire) so they actually set me up with the cheapest set they could give me, with no attempt to up sell. They were friendly the entire time and really got me out of what could have been a depressing situation for my wallet. Fast forward to today. well yesterday really. I have two dented wheels on my car (Celica GT-S) and one really bad tire. I figured since the wheels were crap anyhow I'd just buy two new wheels with tires already mounted and balanced from Tire Rack. Sounds simple enough, but when I got the wheels and tried to remove my old ones, the lug key broke so instead of waiting a few days to get a new lug key I went to these guys to see if they'd help. Again they were super friendly, for $25 dollars they mounted the new wheels and gave me a new lug key. Not only that but after the fact they offered to swap the better tire to the not so beat up rim so I'd have a full sized spare, they did it to be nice, didn't charge me for it or anything. I'm using the Discount Tire facility at 4411 Industrial Rd, Fort Wayne, IN for the last 12 years and 6 cars and 6 tire sets and I can say only good words about this company and people who work there. Never had a problem there. They even did not charge me for the things I would expect them to. For example, I had some rust on the rims internal side and they cleared for free to guarantee no air leak. I offered myself to pay for this but they refused to take payment. Beware of online appointments! On Tuesday, I got online, picked my tires and set an appointment for Saturday. Went very smoothly and I got an email confirmation of my appointment, the cost and the tires they were going to install. Very nice. On Saturday, I called before going in to verify they had the tires on hand... Nope! I was told that they did not order them because they require a $50 deposit before doing so. They also said that someone should have contacted me about it earlier. But they didn't. There was nothing on the website about the deposit required, nor did they email me or call me. Disappointing customer service. Note: They did offer to give me $50 dollars off my order if I came in, paid and set an appointment for the following week. read more

I had a nail in my tire last night when I got home from work, so I called Discount as soon as I got up this morning. They told me to come on in and they'd check it out - they weren't busy. I got there just as 5 other cars pulled into the parking lot, but the gentleman on the phone had had the foresight to book me an appointment so I wouldn't have to wait. They got my car right in, everyone was genuinely helpful and, despite my obvious ignorance of all things car related, they weren't condescending or trying to talk me into things I didn't need. They patched up my tire in less time than they had estimated, free of charge. Definitely the best car experience I've had. read more

Had an issue with the Michelin tires on my wife's 2016 Lincoln MKX. I had spoken with several other local tire retailers and received various different stories on why the tread wear warranty was worthless. Chatted with Dale at Michelin and he assured my that they would stand by the warranty and recommended Discount Tire. Called them and spoke with Matthew, he confirmed that they would process a warranty claim and ordered a set of replacement tires. This was 11:00 am and he had the tires at 4:00 pm the same day. We made an appointment for 11:30 am the next day. He checked the condition of the tires, confirmed that they would be covered by Michelin and gave me an awesome pro-rated warranty discount on the new tires on the spot, no claim form to mail in, no waiting. I asked how long it would take to get the tires on, he looked at the clock and said "an hour and 10 minutes". I thought sure, right, this place was packed and people were waiting in line. Well, it was an hour and 5 minutes later I was driving off the lot. Matthew and the team at the Fort Wayne store did an awesome job, they have earned all my future tire business, THANKS! And thanks to Michelin for backing up their tread wear warranty and recommending Discount Tires. read more

These folks know what they're doing. I wish all auto service places were as honest as these guys. I regret ever getting tires or tire repairs anywhere else. Other places have, at best, an indifferent attitude. Discount Tire treats everyone with respect. In my case, I brought a wheel to them about half an hour before closing. It needed a new sensor and valve stem. They got it done that evening even though it took until a few minutes past closing. The best part was the price. A month or so earlier, I had to get the same repair. The place I went to for that wheel took three or four hours. After first telling me my car needed a thousand dollars in repairs that it absolutely didn't, they then tried to charge me fifty dollars more than what they first quoted. The price I paid for the same repair was nearly twice what Discount Tire charged. Discount Tire is efficient, economical, and, above all, honest. Rule of thumb - try these guys first. read more

I bought tires from Discount Tire and was amazed at the customer service. I walked in and was greeted promptly and was thanked for coming in. Josh Holler was the manager and he was the one that waited on me. He was very efficient and friendly. He explained everything to me and said if I had any questions to feel free to call him. I recently took my vehicle back in to have the tires rotated. Josh Holler waited on me again. He actually seemed like he appreciated my business. I told him my front tire looked low so he had his team check it out for me. He said there was a little build up on the rim, or something, and they cleaned it and there was no charge. Normally I don't write a lot of reviews but I highly recommend Discount Tire to anyone. I've referred three friends there and they were all 100% satisfied. What a great place to go to. read more

This place is a joke. Called today at 9:30 AM and was told that they could repair a tire. Had the car towed there and then never heard from them. Called today at 3 to check on it and was told that they can't make those kinds of repairs. They also conveniently can't find any record of the 1st call and the manager couldn't care less about the wasted money on the tow and the whole day wasted on getting the car repaired. The level of disrespect and incompetence at this location is embarrassing. Don't waste your time with them. read more
