    Destroyed Headliner

    We had a pretty bad chip and a crack in our windshield from a rock on 95. Our insurance company sent Safelite out. The tech was very nice and seemed professional. I watched him from the front window replacing it because it was interesting, right up to the point that he got into my car for the recalibration process and he blew a big puff of vape smoke out the window. We aren't smokers but I let that go and didn't say anything about it. A few hours later my husband and I drove to dinner and on the way home, I looked up to see that our headliner had been destroyed. The edges of it had been cut and were frayed. I immediately called and they are ordering a new headliner and they are going to replace it. I'm pleased with that but it never should have happened in the first place. I don't know if it was an inexperienced tech or what but he did a really poor job.

    The tech who "fixed" my glass, left a brown residue in theta and bottom of the crack. It is 300% more noticeable after the "repair job". Company has denied responsibility. This on a 1 month old truck. With todays tech savvy folks a company that doesn't have good PR is kinda screwed. Do better Safelite.

    Cleaning out the sunroof vents

    Some Background: I had previously taken my car to two other places to find why I was getting so much water in my floorboards. After the dealership had charged me an exorbitant amount of $$$ to clean my sunroof vents, I was still having issues. I wanted Safelite to double-check their seals from a windshield change 2 years ago. Ernie rolled up right on time, checked the seals, which were all fine, and then proceeded to take a line and fish out the vents for me...which as we poured water over them, were not cleaned out by the dealership. Says he handles these all day long. I can't thank Ernie enough for his professionalism, and for making my water leak issues go away when no one else could. These guys really know what they're doing.

    I have been the family member that makes their quarterly visit to this Safelite location. Each time…read moreI have gone, I have always been greeted and my windshield glass issues had always been addressed professionally. Every technician I have worked with and front desk personnel I have talked to have always been so kind. This time around, I worked with Carol (who was newer) and I had not met her during my previous visits. Carol was awesome. She was incredibly kind and patient with all my questions. You'd think I'd know a thing or two about glass with how many times I've had to come to Safelite... but nope, I learn something new each time. Carol was very well organized and her communication is great. She gave me "heads up" about what to expect from the insurance, she'd hear back from them and immediately update me. She gave me options on what I could do and I really appreciated that.

    Had my windshield replaced by Safelite of Fredericksburg, at home service…read more Now my Honda Pilot sounds like I am driving with all 4 side windows down, which is very annoying. The cabin of my SUV is normally very quiet, one of the many things I love about it. They used caulk under the windshield, the Cowl is damaged and to top that all off, they cut the headliner. I tried calling, was only able to leave a message but no one called me back. My husband is seriously not happy and called and talked with them, but only got excuses. Stay far, far away from these folks, its not worth the slap shod service. Adding because Safelite comment below. I tried calling your customer service many times, was only allowed to leave a message, which I did days ago. You never called back. My husband AND our Insurance was on the phone with you folks today, and all we got was the run around and excuses. My SUV is now at the Honda dealer, who is repairing the damage that was done. Just heard from Honda. Safelite worker did a lot of damage in the tune of $1,700, to get just the windshield and other parts replaced around the windshield, and fixed correctly. This does not count the Headliner. Honda no longer makes replacements for my Pilot, so they are trying to find the best option. Am not a happy camper. Will Safelite do the right thing?
