5 Stars all around for great work done by Forza Automotive. Tom Blake (lead mechanic on this project) did an outstanding job of diagnosing and servicing a 1994 Mercedes E500 (classic), including locating hard to find replacement parts and getting it through VA state inspection. Classics such as this are difficult to service due to the unavailability of many parts and the lack of mechanics with sufficient knowledge of how to work on 30+ year old car engines that come from an entirely different era. My Audi A3 was making a lot of noise. I took it to Forza Automotive. I was greeted before the door even shut. They looked at my Audi and said it needed front brakes and rotors. They fixed it while I was waiting. I was expecting to pay double what they quoted me. When I got back in my car I noticed it was washed and vacuumed. They have all my future business. When arriving at Forza Automotive I was greet by Michele. She is so friendly. I was dropping of my Mercedes C 300 for service and to have my brakes checked. My brakes were making a bad noise. She gave me a ride home. Michele called me about an hours later to tell me that I need rear brakes and rotors. She had the estimate ready when she called and it was a great price. She called me a couple of hours later to let me know my car was ready. She came and picked me up. When I got there my car was ready to go and was freshly washed. When I left the noise I had was gone. This is the only place me and my family will take our cars from now on. read more

I am overly pleased with my experience at Forza. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. We ran into car trouble on a Friday on our way to a funeral and had to stop at 3 different shops before finding this one who could help us. We almost didn't stop after noticing the other 1 Star review. I explained the situation to the front desk and they were able go get us in and out in under an hour! They diagnosed the issue, ordered the parts needed and had us out of there in no time! I couldn't be more grateful. Because of their quick work and empathetic attitudes we made it to the funeral with time to spare. read more

I visited Forza last week to have a lift kit and tires installed on my vehicle as well as an alignment. I have nothing negative to say about my experience at all. The quality of work done by Mike Feldmann (shop owner) was excellent. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone in the area. My truck looks amazing now with the lift and tires. read more

Long time customer but after second bad experience in a row, no more. I left my car there all day today (7 hours) for a simple oil change and a check engine light. Check engine light turned out to be nothing more than a software update which should have taken 2 to 3 hours to fix. Instead I was told they didn't have enough time to get to it (since they had let it sit there four hours before even looking at it) so I could just bring it back another day. Like that was not any kind of inconvenience. I had made it clear when I made the appointment two days earlier and that morning when I dropped it off that if at all possible I wanted to try and get it done that day since it's an hour's drive just to get to the shop. When picking it up I expressed my displeasure at their lack of effort and Paul at the front desk was less than apologetic. These guys do decent work but they were only an alternative to the dealer because I could save some money. Though it does cost a bit more at the dealer, it has a nice warm, clean waiting room, I can get a free loaner if necessary and have the work done quickly. It's now obvious that the inconvenience, lack of consideration and nonexistent customer service at Forza has made the small amount of money I was saving not worth the price. BEWARE!!!!!DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!! Had Chris install a new intake manifold , water pump (supplied/shipped from ECS )and installed a new valve gasket on my VW CC and as soon as I left the shop my check engine light came on, I had to turn a round and he said it was because he got water in the spark plug cylinders...so he "dried them out" .... so we left. We got to Ashland VA and I pulled into the TA and all of my coolant was pouring out!!! Emptied it within minutes. I called Chris and he said call NorthStar and have it towed tell them Chris recommenced them and maybe he'll give you a good deal!!! MAYBE!!! And why and I about to spend $200 or more on a row for an issue that I just got it out of the shop for....worse condition than when I brought it in!!! REALLY!! And after talking to the owner Mark who tried to say it was a hose that was bad from the "bad oil leak I had" mind you he hasn't even seen pics or video of the leak...all he was concerned about was covering his butt! So I ended up taking it to another mechanic in Ashland and discovered that the coupling and o rings that connects to the engine was installed improperly, and it was broken which caused the leak. After paying an additional $437 to the other mechanic to fix the problem, I call Chris at Forza and politely ask for a refund for just the water pump install since it was done incorrectly and he said no because I supplied the parts and that it was a defective part...which if it were defective he put it on defective, which is still a problem. If the part was defective and looked the way it did in the pics then he should have called me and asked me if I wanted to install an defective part or replace it with a non defective part.... a $12 part, mind you. I am fighting to get my refund. These guys give mechanic's a bad name! read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. They have a contractor who does part of the work, and they had issues going on and at the end I had waited months to get the job done. It was not until the end that they communicated what was going on with the parts. In regards to responsibility they play child games in trying to shift the blame to the other party, you speak with the other party and then they shift it back to Forza. Both obviously trying to not be held accountable for their negligent conduct. (They lost some bolts that came with the transmission, and further caused delays since they had to reorder them. This being just one example.) When I spoke with them about the absurd delays, their response was "well we also have other cars here who have been waiting just as along." What kind of response is that? Ridiculous, that isn't my problem. If they are incompetent and can't perform they need to communicate that and I would have found someone to get it done in a reasonable period of time. Do NOT bring your vehicles here, you will leave with a headache and with more car issues. I hate giving smaller businesses terrible reviews, but this is needed. I do not condone poor customer service and negligent behavior. Save yourself the time and pay a little more and go elsewhere. read more

I am new to the area and recently had the service light come on with my BMW. It turned out to be the velocity sensor on one of the wheel, which is part of the ABS system. They were able to figure out the problem one day in about 30 minutes and had the part and the problem fixed the next day in 45 minutes. And the price was really reasonable (probably half of what I would have paid at the dealership). I will definitely continue to use Forza for my BMW repairs. read more

Just dropped in to Forza this afternoon and left extremely happy! I was a walk-in needing help with a convertible top that was stuck closed. I met Paul in the front and asked what the likelihood of having it looked at today. He explained they were already at max capacity today and unfortunately wouldn't be able to get to it. But he went ahead and asked what my issues were. After hearing the problem and looking at possible solutions, he offered to come take a quick look. He tried a couple things and fixed my issue within a couple mins!! I was so thankful he took the time to fix my problem, even with already having such a full plate! Highly recommend. read more

I recently took my car here based on some coworkers recommendations. I was having an engine problem that another mechanic could not diagnose. It took the guys at Forza just a couple of hours to determine, without a doubt, it was the alternator. "Replace the alternator and the problem will be solved." $400+ and a new alternator later my car ran great... for 2 days before the exact same problem happened again. They did not solve my problem and took me for $400+. If you want to throw your money away give these guys a try. As for me, never again. Also notice a disturbing trend, dear Reader, only 5 star reviews can be read, the 1 stars have been removed. Hmm, only the good reviews remain and the bad ones taken down, now what does that tell you. read more

Having purchased a used Jaguar XK, I needed an oil change and baseline inspection. Contacted Forza and spoke to "Nick" who advised me for that service it would be $122.50. A few days later, I showed up for my "appointment" (which I was later told they don't take appointments) and was disheartened to see the most disheveled looking automotive service center ever witnessed. I can understand automotive garages to not be the cleanest and squared away working environments however tools, trash, full fluid containers, and old disassembled cars were all about the place in complete disarray. As noted, you don't get a second chance to make a good first impression, and this customer was NOT impressed. The mechanic who worked on my car was knowledgeable about the basics of this particular car model but little more. Forza knew well in advance that there was this specific car coming in for an oil change, however they failed to have any oil filters in stock for this specific car so I waited for over ninety minutes for the filter to be delivered only to be advised by the "Bookkeeper" (didn't catch her name) that the filter was $57 and therefore she had to charge me $192.00 for the service. After I had told her of my detailed conversation with "Nick", she rudely said that they will put my old oil back into my car and that I could go elsewhere. Knowing that what she said may have crossed the line for defining what is proper customer service and interface, she relented and only charged me $164 for service that should have only cost $122.50. Everything I have written in this review is 100 percent accurate, therefore my strongest recommendation for this shop...GO ELSEWHERE, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO FORZA. read more
