My windshield got hit by a rock. When I parked outside overnight the crack spread across the entire windshield. My insurance company made working with Safelite AutoGlass very easy. I filled out a form on-line, picked a time online to drop my car off at Safelite AutoGlass, returned laler the same day and the glass had been replaced. They even moved my oil change service tag from my broken windshield to the new one. It was a very easy and convenient process. The only reason I give this a 4 instead of 5 is an issue that probably isn't related, but the timing made me question it. Two days later I drove across state and left my vehicle outside for two nights. It snowed. When I went to turn on my wipers (after what I thought was long enough for it to warm up), they would not work. They were stuck and I assumed frozen. I ended up having to take my vehicle into the dealer where they told me the wipers gears were stripped. Again, probably not related to having my windshield replaced but the timing just makes me wonder. read more

5 windshield replacement attempts , 2 damaged trim pieces, Metal shavings left in carpet, leaking windshield causing mildew smell in interior, Job left unfinished every time, BBB complaints made, Months and months and hundreds of calls later i can honestly say this is nothing but a terrible example of a "business". Three and one -half hour wait for a simple windshield recalibration. Had a 10:OO appointment, arrived early as requested. Windshired was replaced remotely by Safelite and had to go to the shop for recalibration. Was told it would take less than an hour. After seeing people who arrived an hour after me get a complete windshield replacement and recalibration...I was annoyed. No explanation, no update, no apologies. Just bad customer service. Dropped my car off for the third attempt at replacement. 1st attempt the seal didnt work and leaked into the mirror housing. 2nd attempt they broke the clip that holds the camera/sensor in place. My dealer found the issue and gave me a report with pictures which I provided for the warranty work. When i arrived today the tech just shoved the camera back up into the broken housing and said it seemed to be in place. After I explained what the dealer diagnosis was, he offered to replace the windshield again. I don't have a lot of confidence that this is the final repair. read more

The window cracked two weeks after replacement and they said another stone hit the windshield. My son who works in Florida was up and said the impact that is being reference was caused by the window glass holder when the last one was replaced. He has seen it many times and there is no mistake. Replaced from 2017 Toyota Tacoma Windshield in the year 2019. This year I started having electrical issues in my truck and dealership said it was related to aftermarket windshield put in. Safelite manager said to bring in and he would look at it. Got a phone call from some lady who said everything was fine and nothing was wrong. Apparently the manager was out of the office. 17k in damage for the electrical issues caused by an improperly sealed windshield. But Safelite did nothing wrong! read more

Had troubles getting a good quote, tried to have a conversation about it, the manager kept telling me I didn't understand. She said it's like getting a quote at a hospital, and insurance doesn't work that way. Because it was over $1200, my insurance went up, exactly what I didn't wanna have happen. Technicians make a habit of parking across the only 2 handicapped parking spaces (city complaints being filed, as well as ADA complaint with DOJ). Broke an accessory on my wheelchair-accessible vehicle and flippantly said "it's an old vehicle, you can get one from the junkyard" before I insisted that they replace what they broke. The manager (Steve) lied to my face after watching 2 different techs park vehicles across the handicapped spots basically called me a liar and then defended the tech (Jeremy) who parked MY vehicle that way (the van parked against the building so that my ramp could not be deployed) and basically said: "whatever lady, believe what you want".... This is the most dishonest and disrespectful company I have ever dealt with! read more

Safelite treated me with respect and integrity, even when they refunded me for their work. One person was sent for a two person job. The glass hatch did not close afterwards. Upon review by an auto body shop (not Safelite), further hinge damage was identified and repaired, including a different glass, thus the refund request. read more

Windshield replacement for 2017 Honda CR.V: Service was prompt and technician was knowledgeable and professional. The glass itself was not nearly as good as original. Tint was not the same and does not look as nice near the center. Dot matrix was printed internally thus making suction cup attachment impossible. People were great, product was not. read more

I brought my car in to get three small chips fixed. The following morning I woke up, and one of the chips was back and even bigger. When I called to see how Safelite was going to help remedy the issue, they refused to redo their work and simply told me that it is my responsibility to now replace the windshield (and recalibrate it) and pay my deductible of $500 to do it. I've use safelite 3 times now and this last time was horrific. The technitian himself was fine, the billing and customer service issues afterwards were awful. I am not one to start any problems, but I was transfered to 5 different people, each were very rude and finally the last lady I talked to was amazing. I feel bad for good workers who work for this company. I also felt like I was scammed out of my warranty service. I will never come back to use this company. Got a bad chip in my windshield on Friday evening on my way home from work. Saturday morning got onto the Safelite website and within minutes had an appointment scheduled for later that morning. My 2020 Corvette windshield was broken and I went to Safelite Autoglass for replacement of the windshield. Safelite assured me that they could get the glass but asked that I cancel my request with the Chevrolet dealership for glass so they wouldn't be stuck with a glass if I purchased from the dealer. After canceling my order with the dealer, I was told a week to receive the windshield, then a few weeks, and finally Safelite just quit calling me and giving me an update. All in all Safelite wasted 4 months of my time, they received broken replacement windshields, the wrong windshield, and then I had to contact the local Chevrolet dealer to source a windshield on my own. The Safelite manager treated me with respect while not being truthful on their ability to get the replacement glass. Use another company for your work as Safelite is untrustworthy and fails to complete jobs as contracted. They wasted my summer waiting for them to complete a job which was finally completed by a dealer recommended glass vendor. read more

Nothing starts a trip off on the wrong foot than walking out to your car to find a vandalized windshield. We had to get it fixed and get on the road fast so we called Safelite and, after getting our name, insurance company and policy number told us they had our glass in stock and the repair was fully covered. We had to wait an hour after the installation for the bonding to cure properly but ... S.U. and I were on our way to a weekend in Chicago only three hours late. Pretty sweet! read more

My windshield was broken so I called saflite to repair it. The tech came out and replaced the windshield and when he was about finished I came outside and to my astonishment he was replacing my wiper blades without my approval. I demanded he put the old ones back on as they were not that old and still in good working order. He tried to talk me into leaving them on by telling me that I had already paid for them. I told him to reverse the charges and he said he did and then put the old wipers back on. When I finally seen my card statement I noticed that I was charged for new wiper blades that I did have. I went to the store and explained my situation and said I needed to contact corporate headquarters which I did and was also given the runaround. I was never reimbursed. read more

Had my windshield replaced after a crack developed from damage along the edge. I had three small chips on my windshield so I called my insurance company at 1:15pm to file the claim to get them repaired. The claim was filed AND the repair was done by 3:15pm the same day. I had a chip in my windshield and Safelite came to my workplace to fix. It ended up cracking more, not their fault, so I had to schedule an appointment at their facility. When I arrived for my appointment I was told that it would take a few hours to replace the entire windshield and to do a calibration. I had taken off of work for a half day, so I waited. About 30 minutes later, I was told that the new windshield had a huge scratch in it and that I had to come back. I have a day job so it's not that easy to take another half day off to get this fixed. I was told that they could come to my workplace and I (the customer) had to tell the man that a calibration was needed so that wasn't an option. He then looked at the paperwork and agreed that I was right. He also offered me a "discount" on the scratched one if I really wanted it (no thanks, my insurance is paying). Today I arrived and the service was completed within 2 hours, which was 30 minutes faster than I was quoted as the minimum time to complete. I just got home and looked at my car and the rubber area around the windshield is gouged quite bad on the bottom. Extremely dissatisfied with Safelite. Too bad they are my only option for a claim with my insurance. Fingers crossed for no chips or cracks with this car again. read more

Great service and customer care! It's super easy to schedule online and to change the day and time as needed. I came in with two chips in my windshield, one which was moving across my windshield very fast. They quoted me $145 online. When I arrived they asked me if I have filed through my insurance. I said no, because I figured it would take out if my very high deductible and cause my rate to increase. She stated neither of those were true and that the insurance company covers it 100% through my comprehensive insurance. She called progressive and I spoke to the agent. Within 5 minutes the claim was filed and I was $145 richer! They cleaned all my windows and even vacuumed! read more
