I've had a positive experience on all of my visits to Safelite AutoGlass. I've been here more times than I'd probably like, but alas the Phoenix freeways and amount of trucks and rocks kicking up leads to more cracked windshields than not it seems. My insurance does utilize Safelite at their preferred vendor and utilize scheduling right on the app itself. I'm typically able to get in within a week and they do have lots of flexibility with times. You have the option to hang around or drop off. I can't speak for value, as we have a zero dollar glass deductible for this exact reason, but the service, follow up and quality of work have always been good for us on both are vehicles which do include calibrations for the cameras. read more

I got a quote to get chips in my windshield replaced. When they came out they claimed I needed the windshield replaced because the chip was larger than a small 2 inch circle. Next day they bring the wrong glass...after I told them they brought the wrong glass last time and make sure you bring the correct glass. 3rd appointment: the tech cracks the glass while installing it...and he doesn't put the rear view mirror on. Need to fix a chip on the windshield and my insurance refer me here. When I got in there is no appointment made by my insurance . The guy Amed very nice help me look for it but can't find it . So I call my insurance and they send over the information. Right away they work on the car . Less than an hour done and even Wash my car which I didn't expected . I set an appointment for them to come to my house, they were late. they replaced my windshield but were unable to calibrate the anti-crash component for the windshield. We set up an appointment for the coming Friday, they did not show and did not call. I received a text message that they set up an appointment for me to come to their shop. I paid extra for them to come to my hose, didn't install correctly and the. no showed me, made an appointee that I didn't agree to and wanted to charge me again! Sweet! Appointment at 1:00 out at 2:00. Replaced a windshield with a few cracks in it. Were just passing through and was on a limited time frame. The sweet girl up front did a beautiful job in doing her job. Got my insurance info and set a time for drop off. The dude(Kyle)was waiting when I drove up. Explaining the process clearly. A hour later Kyle was finished, again explaining my next couple of days with my new windshield. Perfect. So I had another Safelite experience in Salinas, Ca. that didn't go nearly as well, matter of fact it was a 180 degree difference. Last words...it was painless. read more

Stopped in and we were told they don't replace side cracked glass in cars. So we called and they said they did and came out to our place. After an hour he told us the side window motor had failed (it worked just fine before ) had to order new motor and to connect into the shop. Found out that they ordered the wrong glass and why it didn't work. ( and perhaps why the motor had to be replaced) They got in the new glass and motor and it works. Glad insurance covered it and they fixed it but can't say we were impressed. read more

this is a review of the shop on Recker & McKellips in Mesa. I scheduled a windshield replacement that I was paying for out of my pocket with no Insurance. A day later I got notification of a recalibration fee of $750 which is more than my windshield and not necessary if the installation is done correctly You should be able to just press a button in the service menu and the cameras in Tesla constantly recalibrate. When I called customer service for Safelite they wanted me to talk to the shop who already told me too bad and cancelled my appointment because I couldnt afford it. I had my 2020 Toyota RAV4 windshield replaced at Safelite auto Southern Avenue in Mesa. They didn't request original manufacturer equipment they just put in an aftermarket windshield, as you can see these black parts are supposed to be attached with clips they offered to double sided tape them down. I'm so not happy with safe flight and I will never use them again Furthermore they told me that I couldn't take my car to the Toyota dealer because they could not calibrate the windshield. The 2 technicians that replaced my windshield blantantly lied to my face when I asked him if they had any problems with the install I should be made aware of. He was more than eager to say No. Considering I watched the install through my Axis PTZ security camera and have it recorded. They lost the plastic piece that covers the cable from the headliner to the rear view mirror. They also struggled to reinstall the cowl under the glass..one of the installers tried putting it in multiple times and taking it back out. They are did not reinstall the trim pieces correctly that go over the body panels above the windshield. They tried forcing it and Im sure they are broken now since they tried to force it back on. This is the 2nd time the windshield was replaced. I had a perfect installer the 1st time, these guys clearly had no idea what they were doing on my Acura. I am more than happy to share the video with Safelite. read more

Driving on the dreaded 202, a truck cut me off and all types of debris followed. Little rocks and dust hit windshield but a big ass rock decided to leave it's mark on my baby!! Naturally, I went through the motions of being upset and couldn't believe I was experiencing my first rock-in-the-windshield moment. I contacted my insurance company and they said they could get me an appointment right away at Safelite. I was greeted by the two ladies at the desk, and I wish I could remember their names, but they were really lovely and friendly. The waiting area was clean, people were social distancing, wearing masks, there's a charging station, a television, and complimentary water and coffee. Mike told me he was gonna do everything he could to repair the crack. He also said it's was good I came the same day because the Arizona heat would've made the crack expand. They were pretty busy but the whole process only took about 15-20 minutes. When I went out to see the work, I was very impressed! You can't even tell it was cracked. I got in the driver's seat to see if I could see any traces of the crack but nope! I was very happy and and pleased with the work. They also cleaned my windshield, making it look like a brand new windshield lol This location and the employees really took care of me and had me in and out, which I greatly appreciate. read more

Update: My window now makes sounds when rolling it down on top of totally messed up tint. My husband called and scheduled a tint repair for the location on Country Club since I refused to go back to the Southern location. I got a babysitter and headed to my 10am appointment on Friday. When I got to my appointment, I wasn't on the books. It was scheduled at the wrong location. They rescheduled me at the Southern location even though we requested the Country Club location where they have the plotter machine! This company is total Incompetence all the way around. The girls at the front desk advised a tint removal is extremely time consuming and this is something that would take ALL day- I'd need to drop my car off at 9am and pick it back up at 5pm. They would also need to remove the entire window in order to get the tint off. That is absolutely BS. I left without rescheduling for the ALL day event they had in mind. At this point, I rather just pay out of pocket and go somewhere else to get my window tint fixed. When I left Safelite, I called my insurance company and told them not to pay the tint claim that Safelite would be sending to them because I was NOT keeping that tint on my vehicle and it wasn't done correctly! I called a local tinting expert in Mesa and got my window fixed in less than ONE hour and it looks incredible! No window removal, no ALL day event like Safelite said it would be to fix the tint. I had to pay additional $20 for tint removal but it was worth it to not have to deal with the total mess of Safelite!!! read more

Our tech called to say he was on the way. My husband was waiting but an hour later the tech had not arrived. When I called the tech said he waited 30 minutes and rang the bell three times. He argued that he was at the right house even though I assured him he went to the wrong address. Finally he admitted he went to the wrong address but said it was "inconvenient" to come to complete our job. I cancelled the install. It took 5 calls to get through to a representative to verify we would not be charged. We have used this company several times in the past. However, we would not recommend this company now. read more

Had an Insurance windshield replacement. They didn't have a correct part for the first appointment and had to reschedule. Second appointment was cancelled on me. Third appointment was the worst guy. Generally talked and clearly hated his job. He got a big chunk of the glue on the bumper then got stuff all over my car. 6 months later I'm still getting black marks on my clothes and hands from extremely poor service. I scheduled a mobile windshield replacement. I added a note as I always do for a tint strip. The first mobile driver didn't have a strip. He called his shop while I was there and they rescheduled me for the next day. They replaced it with no tint strip the day after. So then I had to call, where they said they only do tint stripping at their shop. Booked an appointment out a week and a half. Had an 11a appointment. They told me it'd take 1.5 hours. They also ran out of the darkest tint. I will never use safelite again. I've never had this issue with them before, and I won't be doing this again. My recommendation is to go elsewhere. read more

Ok funny thing. My wife's rear view mirror became detached two days ago. I went to a big box store and bought a rear view mirror kit to reattach it. I follows the directions exactly and the mirror fell off one day after the repair. So, I do it all over with a new kit and once again it fell off while we were driving. Well the awesome thing was we were close to a Safelite company on Mesa Dr. and Southern in Mesa and a tech approached me in the lobby and asked if he could help me. I told him my story and he asked for the keys and took care of it right away. I just want to know thank Safelite and particularly the Tech Jason. Thank you guys so very much!! read more

Always used them in the past, this last time will be it. The rubber around the windshield is damaged and should be replaced. Sun rotted but the installer made it way worse, said and done nothing, the new glass was very dirty both sides, the side window used for the install suction cup left impression on glass, left it dirty with that mark. You would think a company, that specializes in glass, would clean it. Not a big deal, just sloppy work. I will find another company next time. read more

I had a wonderful experience. The front desk and techs were so kind! I thought my glass had shattered inside my drivers side door so I made an appointment at 1:00 pm. Finished my errands early and arrived at 12:00 pm. At about 12:30 pm the technician told me it was actually the regulator that broke and the glass was fine. The tech was transparent about the best way to go about fixing it. He said it would be best if I ordered the regulator off of Amazon and then paid the flat $100 to install it. He said they could order the regulator, but it would cost more than double the price. I also called around to get some other quotes, but this was by far the most cheapest option that I was quoted. I ordered the regulator on Amazon and made another appointment and I was in and out in 30 minutes. read more

He knew from looking at it it needed replacement. He called company to report that it was a full replacement and they wouldn't answer his phone call. nice gentleman, but I will not re book with this company. complete waste of my time. Recently had my windshield replaced and the guy said the clips were wrong and my windshield is not sitting right. He told me they would order clips and he would fix it the following week. NEVER EVER USE SAFELITE IN MESA BUYER BEWARE! THEY BREAK WINDSHIELDS ALL THE TIME AND THEIR WARRANTY DOESN'T COVER IT!!! They cracked and completely ruined my daughter's windshield repairing a chip we DID NOT ASK THEM TO REPAIR while repairing one we did asked them to repair. The manager, when asked to take responsibility for the damage, denied having any! In fact, he told me it was MY FAULT!!! When contacted, the Corporate CSR said this happens a lot!!! If I could give zero stars I would. This place is the poster child for incompetence. I set up an appointment on 2/3 to have my windshield replaced and my camera recalibrated for 2/9 at 8am. So here I am, I arrive at this place and see some techs standing outside vaping. I go in, the lady at the desk was nice. The tech guy came out at 8:10 and took my car back. Said it should be about an hour and a half to two hours. At 8:40, he comes in and says they don't have my windshield so they can't do the work today, but they can order one for me . Seriously? I had this appointment for SIX days, and you wait until the day of my appointment to figure out you need to order my windshield? Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Not only did they completely fail but they argued with me on how they're supposed to use a heat gun to stretch the black housing around the windshield in the place . After he left a few days later that housing shrunk down about 8 in short of my windshield size and the windshield started falling out. Decided to go to the source for chip repair after many unsatisfactory performances by chip repair 'specialists' at the car washes. Even though they were busy they had me in and out in 20 minutes, and I had a big spiderweb crack looking chip going on. There is still a little visible blemish in the glass but they said it happens now and again with large chips. It is better than replacing the entire windshield though as it would have cracked across the entire screen with the first run through a car wash an a hot Az summer day. read more
