I had the absolute worst experience with Safelite when replacing my windshield. On February 28, I had my windshield replaced through them since it was partially covered by my insurance. At first, everything seemed fine, but less than two weeks later, on February 12, I noticed a long crack spreading across the glass while driving--without hearing any impact whatsoever. Since the replacement came with a "lifetime warranty," I went back to the Safelite location expecting them to honor it. Instead, I was met with excuses and denial. The technician pointed out a barely visible impact mark and used that as an excuse to void the warranty. When I asked what kind of glass they used, I was shocked to find out it was an aftermarket Pilkington windshield--a flimsy, subpar replacement compared to the original manufacturer's glass. Let's get this straight: I've been driving my car for years without any windshield issues. Then, less than two weeks after getting a replacement from Safelite, it suddenly cracks, and they refuse to stand by their so-called "lifetime warranty." What kind of scam is this? Bottom line: Safelite uses cheap materials, offers worthless warranties, and refuses to stand by their work. If you want to waste your money and deal with frustration, go ahead and use them. I had a windshield replacement scheduled for May 23rd, between 12-5 pm. Living in New England, any type of weather can pop up at anytime. I understand that. The installation guy Ryan from the Nashua NH Amherst Street office calls to tell me he's at my car, and there's no car port to work under, and because his phone is predicting rain, he's not going to do it. "Ok, I get that, I said, but it's not raining at the moment. I also said It said thunderstorms all morning and it's 1:00 pm and it still hasn't happened." I felt as though he was being cautious yes, but also pushing off the job. No rain and I'm writing this at 2:00 pm., btw. Anyhow, I ask if they carry pop up tents for New England weather, and he comes back with, No! Tents?! I'm just the installer, not the owner of the company! Call them and tell them I don't carry pop up covers, that's not my job. I deal with CUSTOMERS LIKE YOU ALL THE TIME, & THEY GET A WET INTERIOR AND WATER DAMAGE AND THEY CALL AND BLAME IT ALL ON ME. NOW, Just because you're being difficult, I AM REFUSING TO DO THE JOB." WOW, first off, it was just a question, I said, "I've already agreed w you on a reschedule, I never once said I would blame anything on you!" A customer service rep should NEVER TELL A CUSTOMER THEYRE ANYTHING! So I tell him I feel as if he has a giant attitude, to relax. He starts ranting over my voice and completely cuts me off to tell me something like "now I am pushing your job off, even thought it's still not raining,I'm not losing his job so YOU can have a Window today." SUPER RUDE, SUPER IGNORANT, SUPER ABNOXIOUS. He starts laughing and sarcastically says "My office will be in touch," and hangs up the phone. THIS GUY NEEDS AN ATTITUDE adjustment and a class on CUSTOMER SERVICE. Sorry that's your career, if your that angry at customers find another job, RY GUY lol PS, it's now 5 pm, and just an update: it's sunny as heck and never rained. Not one drop. I've got pictures showing the weather at this moment and it's been like this all afternoon. It's still 83 degrees out. The job takes 2 hours. You called me at 1. Argued with me until 1:10. The office called me at 2, to reschedule. And it's now 5:05 PM and my window could've been done during the 3 hours left in the 12-5 PM time frame i booked. Awesome job. ABSOLUTE JOKE! Set up an appointment on Tuesday for a Friday for them to come out to my house told them what kind of driveway I have, etc. The technician calls me and basically tells me that because I don't have a full carport and it only covers the front half of my vehicle. He can't do it so now because of that I have to wait even longer to figure out when and where I'm gonna find the time to get this done you know weather permitting apparently. Last time I checked when I got Safelite to fix my windshield in Florida they had a whole tent around my car. I don't know what the fuck they got going on up here. Then to top it off I called the location to see if you know since it's not actually fucking raining they can come out and do it today and they decline my call 3 times... BEWARE OF SLEAZY TECHS WHO HATE THEIR LIFES AND DONT WANT TO WORK! They will cancel on you for anything they can ! read more

Flawless!! Second time I've used them. I drive 35k miles/year and get cracked windshields every few years (thanks dump trucks). They coordinate everything with my insurance and recalibrate my vehicles cameras. Fantastic service and communication!!! Don't believe any negative reviews - some people you just can't please. Had my windshield replaced and they broke my wiper. Not a big problem, I called them and they told me to get it fixed. Went to Lexus, got it fixed and they now say they have no record of telling me that and they won't reimburse me because I didn't get it checked out by them first.. i explained they were the ones that told me to get it done( corporate and not local) and they don't care. We had an appointment scheduled one week prior and on the day of service, after we dropped off the car, 15 minutes in, the receptionist called and said they cannot perform the job, due to parts not available. So I asked when will you have the parts? She said a week from now, so I agreed to wait. After another 15 minutes passed, she called back and said she cannot do it in a week and I would have to wait 2-3 more weeks?? Due to their poor service, I had to pay the price by missing work hours. Cancelled at the last minute, Nate saw a cloud in the sky and decided he didn't want to do the job. It wasn't even raining and I also went out of the way to cover my vehicle but it wasn't a garage so it wasn't good enough. Wasted a whole day of work for this. There was no surprise that the weather was going to be over cast so if this was an issue it should have been addressed sooner. The guy never even showed up to the house lol. There really is no concern for the customer in their eyes. Called a competitor and got it done. Safelite will never see a dime from me. read more

I had scheduled my car windshield repair for yesterday (Saturday) 10:30 AM. Plan was to drop off the car. Before we left my wife told me car was very low on gas so we stopped at a gas station and by the time we reached Safelite Nashua it was just before 10:50. I waited few min then a women asked me if I was checking in. She checked and said they could not take me in because I was not there sharp 10:30. WHAT? No communication mentioned I had to be there sharp. I told her since I am dropping off the car for whole day can't you take it in? Answer was no. When I asked her name she gave manager's name. I called the main office and they said 30 min was cut-off, so why was I turned away after 15-20 min? This location seem to have a problem with taking care of customers. After weeks of waiting for the glass to come in, they came 2x without fixing it. I now have to drive with plastic on my window until a real company can fix it. The receptionist was nice and helpful but she was the only bright spot in this place. The manager was very rude. Do not use them if you want service. read more

My first experience with Safelite was to repair a dent in my windshield. They sealed it while I was at work and the service was fine. I drove home from work that night, made a quick stop at the store and then came back out to my car to realize the crack had spread a little. No big deal, I called them up the next day and they were more than happy to schedule a replacement for the whole windshield for me. The day comes and I'm at work as planned. The gentlemen came in to grab my keys to move my vehicle away from the busy lot I parked in (I work at a mall). About an hour later, he comes back, gives me the keys, and explains the aftercare suggestions. My day ends around 6:30pm and I go out to my car for the first time since 9am to a parking violation under my wiper for my door being left open (clearly it was left unlocked and wasn't fully shut, im assuming the wind blew it all the way open?) and damaging another vehicle. Mall security reported that they shut my door around 4pm, approximately 3 hours after my service was finished. I shouldn't have to worry about my car being exposed to theft (of either the vehicle itself or of my valuables inside of it) for 3 hours after trusting Safelite to leave my car the way I left it -locked. They treated me right. Great communication. Staff was friendly. This may be silly but my son and I wondered what would happen with my ezpass and my inspection but they were replaced successfully on the new glass. read more

Canceled my appointment twice. First time because there were a few snowflakes in the driveway and the tech was afraid to drive over them. Waited TWO WEEKS and then the day of the second appointment I get a message stating the appointment was canceled and couldn't be rescheduled for several weeks. Nice. My insurance company recommends these jokers and I have no idea why. I'm going to find an automotive glass shop who knows how to replace automotive glass. My appointment time was 12-5pm got a text saying the tech will be there at 930..... Did not show. I get a call from tech at 457 canceling on me said he was 30 min away... Had to bring my truck in to shop very inconvenient since they are supposed to come to you. read more

I was the lucky one who got told the over booked. Tired to reschedule for the next week can't to that. Instead of calling me the day I booked the appointment to tell me they couldn't do it they wait untill the day of installation and tell me. Now I have no time to get this done before a trip. It's hard to believe how incompetent the people working at this safelite are, I am beyond disappointed in my service with them. I had a cracked windshield and was referred to them by my insurance company , progressive. Of course they have a partnership so they can install cheap glass and bill the insurance company for less. Well, my car has "eyesight" which does not work with cheap aftermarket glass . After installing the windshield , they have to calibrate the eyesight . They claimed to have been successful. The second I got in my car it was not working. I inquired with the service tech who proceeded to get in my car and try to "turn it on." It cannot be turned off and on manually. It was not on because it can't be calibrated with that glass. The tech pushed the most unusual buttons to try to turn it on including the buttons that open the hood or hatch of my car , haha. I spoke with Subaru , they said this isn't uncommon , and that I will now have to have the appropriate glass installed by them. read more

Nate took one look at my car and said he couldn't replace my almost 400$ windshield. He claimed that there was rust on my car that would prevent the glass from setting correctly. I took my car to D.J. Rogers Collision & Service Center and they explained that rust doesn't cause the glass to crack like Nate from safelite claimed. The real reason is because he didn't want to sand down the tiny dime sized rust spot in order to adhere the glass to the frame. Sorely disappointed and I wasted my time. horrible customer service zero responsibility for there negligence on my vehicle. the attitude and ignorance from the the representative was unbearable she had zero concern for any thing that was told to her by her own tech or me. Would not recommend to use this facility by any means go out of your way to go any where but here no matter how long the drive. I have dealt with safelite multiple times in the past and have always been overall pleased. This time however that is not the case. I took my vehicle in for a windshield replacement as I had a crack running across the entire length of my windshield. My wife took my vehicle in as I was not able to leave work. When I got home I immediately noticed the weather stripping on the new install was not seating correctly. There were wrinkles in spots as well as the weather stripping running onto the top of the roof, which it did not do with the prior product, which was also installed by safelite a couple years prior. I made an appointment to have the install inspected and the tech came out and said that it's because it's aftermarket weather stripping. Had I been made aware that I would be receiving product that does not fit look or function like OEM I would have gone a different route. I now have an appointment with a dealer body shop to inspect the install to make sure it is done correctly as I do not feel comfortable with the fit of the safelite product. read more

This safelite location has multiple techs who lie to you about the standards and safety of the aftermarket windshields that they install. My brand new $300 windshield cracked less than 5 miles after it was replaced on an empty road. Safelite refused to stand by their work and their glass, and made the claim that it was just my luck and I'd been hit by another rock. News flash safelite, rocks chip, they do not form immediate 6 inch fractures. At least not when your windshield meets the OEM safety and quality standard. If this had been of the standard that I was promised, I wouldn't have a crack in my brand new $300 windshield that lasted less than 5 miles. How often does this happen with glass that is up to DOT and manufacturer regulations? It doesn't. Ever. If you absolutely have to have safelite replace your windshield, DO NOT accept anything less than the OEM windshield. They will compromise on quality and safety at every corner they can. Stay safe, choose a different glass installer. read more

Wonderful Service!! I have used them 6 times and they are always on time and do a great job. The day of my replacement, there was a storm coming, the tech came early and completed the repair quickly and correctly right before the sky opened up. I could not have been happier! read more

The technician Juan was 45 minutes late and was stressed. He started out complaining about his job. Was there to fix a microscopic chip. He then cracked the windshield and said "oh well, it was too hot out, stuff happens". It was 72 degrees out and overcast. He then jumped into his truck and left; now I have to replace the whole windshield. I feel like I was scammed. I should have know when he pulled in and said "I want you to know I have fixed over 200 windshields and I have never broke one". Set up from the start. Worst experience ever. read more

If I could give this place a zero star I would. I set up an appointment through AAA and they can't find it. Fine I make another appointment they tell me between 12-5pm it'll be done keep in mind the shop closes at 5pm. I call them at 8am and let them know my car will be towed over there to avoid the rain. I call them around 230 after being told it would be done shortly after the car arrived at 930. At 230 I'm told it would be done between 330-4 I say okay and tell them to leave the keys in the car out front. I get to the shop at 530 after it's closed to find my cars not out front. I go inside as the back door is open and you can clearly see people inside. I watched as they fixed multiple other cars instead of mine after hours. I tell them it was supposed to be done long ago and they leave me sitting outside for over an hour. With nothing to offer but insults, and $50 off. The customer service is the worst I've ever seen, each sales rep has a different price and answer. Unbelievable! Never get glass from there if you don't plan on waiting outside like a moron while they have time to start there cars and change there clothes when your repair was supposed to be hours ago. Really an outstanding process from start to finish. I was able to schedule the appointment directly through the Allstate claims page. When I showed up at the scheduled time I was greeted warmly and told what to expect. They completed the job quickly, but with enough time for the adhesive to set and gave me instructions about waiting a few days before washing the car - that was it! read more

I came in 20 minutes early to my appointment and they took my car right back. The employee at the counter was really nice and they got done quickly. When I went into my car I noticed that they did a nice job vacuuming it out. I would definitely recommend going here if you need your windshield changed. read more

We brought our 2017 Subaru Impreza in to get the windshield replaced. That process went fine, expect they informed us that the Eyesight camera would calibrate itself over time after we left. This did not happen. We contacted them about the issue and brought it in to get looked at. They informed us that their computer was giving an unknown error in regards to the camera. The camera was working fine before they changed the glass. I can only deduce that they damaged the camera during the replacement. What makes everything worse is they refused to do anything more to resolve the issue. We will be contacting Safelite's corporate office and will get this issue resolved. I wouldn't recommend any person use this company, as it would appear they are incredibly careless with their work. read more

What a first class operation this place is - as annoying as it was to have a rock crack my windshield with 6000 miles on it these guys made it a positive experience - they were professional and high-energy, the new windshield looks like it never happened, they beat their time estimate and gave me an unexpected break on the price. The technician called ahead to let me know he was finishing another glass install and would call when on his way, which he did. He arrived at my work location which was not the best--a sandpit. He was neat, clean, friendly, very professional. After the glass was installed, he called to let me know, said he left safety instructions on the passenger seat, and not to wash the car for two days. When I got to the car, the work was perfection. On top of everything, he had vacuumed my entire car, which had about 10 pounds of sand. Kudos to him. The entire experience, from making the internet appointment, to talking to a representative, to the technician--perfect. My opinion--Safelite and the technician--ROCK!!! read more

Set up an appointment with them. Was suppose to arrive between 8 and 12. No call, nothing. Finally at 12:15 got a text from them. They said they would be there at 12:45. Very easy to set up through our insurance website! They had a cancellation and even called to reschedule me early. The waiting room was clean, the people were very friendly and professional, I was out of there in about one hour, the car was clean inside and out. Over all great first time experience with having a windshield replaced. I would definitely go there again. read more
