Wow! What a good experience. I had a cracked windshield and I was able to get an evening appointment in just a few days! This was amazing, as I didn't have to take off from work. I dealt with Brie when on site and she was amazing. She took care of me when I walked into the door until everything was all set. I overheard many of her interactions with others, and honestly she goes above and beyond to do what is best for each and every customer and she does so with professionalism and poise. She is a true asset to the company! I also chatted with her when the others had cleared out about how all cars get serviced before they leave for the day, the importance of customer service and how they try to give back to the community. It seems like my insurance company put me in the hands of an amazing company to get my windshield replaced! The technician took great care of the car and had it done earlier than expected. I was lucky my insurance covered this situation, but it seems like they try to work with customers to see what is the best value for replacing a windshield if there is going to be a deductible versus paying out of pocket with cash. They value their customers and their financial situation for sure. All and all, very happy with this experience! While I hope all my glass is in tact after future snow storms, I'm thankful for a stress free visit and wonderful customer service! Thanks! read more

The tech did a good job and was nice but left the glass pieces in my driveway. I was not happy with all the glass. They stated it's not their job to clean up the glass, only the glass in the car, well he removed the side window and the glass fell from him replacing the window and I didn't put the glass on the ground. The glass didn't break to leave glass on the ground prior to the fix. Due to this I will never use safelite in the future. Also followed up with customer service and had to drive to the store because no one answers the phone and complain they stated they would put a warranty in and come out and clean it, which they never did. I'm beyond disappointed. Customer service and store completely not on the same page. The glass is in my tires and this is acceptable customer service. I pray my window doesn't break again read more

This review is not about the technicians. They were very good when they showed up. It is about the overall performance of Safelite. This was an at home repair. It took 4 times over a month (that meant staying home from work) to get my windshield repaired. The four hour window is optional for them or the other thing they will just reschedule your appointment without telling you. But probably the most unbelievable part was when the tech showed up realized that the replacement windshield had a crack in it, when he called back to the shop on what to do, the manager told the tech to install the windshield with the crack in it. Crazy replace a cracked windshield with a cracked windshield. Mine was a company vehicle so the company set up the replacement. But my recommendation use a local business or anyone else if you value your time. Safelite will probably respond with thanks for the feedback but it means nothing. From the 7 phones I had to make for scheduling or to complain had no value whatsoever. read more

Safe life is the best company to go for if your windshield is cracked! I was in constant contact with my technician all through the day with updates. Dominic was my technician and he was absolutely amazing. He was very friendly and my daughter and I stayed out side watching him put the windshield on. They replaced my windshield and could not calibrate sensors, finally after waiting 4 hours they told me I would need to go back to the dealership. The dealership found connector to the sensors was broken and sensor damaged. The car was brand new, everything worked fine until they changed my windshield. read more

I took my vehicle to Safelite for a new windshield due to a significant crack. I had to bring my vehicle there in person because they only had calibration equipment on site. I waited for the repair for close to 3 hours and then they informed me they could not calibrate the windshield and sent me on my way with several safety features and my cruise control not working. They said they couldn't get a new windshield in because the brand/make is supposedly on back order. I had to bring my vehicle to the Honda dealership and have them calibrate it. They were successful but I had to pay out of pocket, $507...my insurance company is working on reimbursing me. I had to get a rental car for a day while my vehicle was repaired. Safelite refused to cover the cost of the rental. I would not recommend Safelite for any repairs or services. read more

I had a mobile appointment that I scheduled two weeks in advance. it was for an afternoon appointment anytime between noon and 5p. kinda crazy large time window for 2024 but I went with it. Safelite New Bedford knew the type of car and sent numerous reminders about the appointment. on the day of the appointment, they call to tell me they don't think they can make it today. the tech was over booked. then I call the office and they put me through to the tech. he said he would be there at around 3p. then I get a call that it's canceled. the tech had a flat tire. curious timing. I get another call from the manager saying that my car is not eligible for a mobile repair. they would like to reschedule. it is clear that this office is not ready to do a good job for their customers. they reminded me of the cable companies of old. there are many other auto glass replacement companies in New Bedford. i will try one of them and avoid the cable company that is safelite. read more

Great service. I needed my rear automatic window replace in my truck, I had booked a home service online not knowing I needed to specify it was a power slider. The morning of my appointment I received a call explaining that for this service my vehicle needed to be brought in which wasn't a problems. They then went above and beyond in my opinion and one of their remote service techs dropped me off at my house!! Everyone was very polite and professional, i felt like a family run business even though it's a chain. I had an appointment at the New Bedford location for 10am. The woman at the reception desk told me it would take about 1.5-2 hours. So instead of me sitting here, my sister and I went out to kill time. After an hour had passed, then 2 with no phone call I decided to head back to see what was going on. We pull in and still see my car parked in the same spot I parked it in, with the cracked windshield. I was furious. They had told me people had showed up before me with no appointment and by right they had to take them first. When the website told me that every appointment had to be booked online. It is now 1:30 and my car is just being pulled in to get the services done. All i'm saying is to be prepared to wait at this location. It has costed me my entire day rather than 2 hours of my morning!! Very disappointed. read more

I made an appointment online to have my windshield replaced at the New Bedford location at 11am. I had an emergency and called the store to tell them I would be 30-45 min late, and asked if it'd be better for them to reschedule. After checking with the tech, they told me to come on in and they'd see me when I got there. As I handing them my keys, I was told my insurance hadn't responded to the claim yet, but they gave me a direct phone number and referral number so I could call and get it approval while I waited. That took all of 5 minutes, and less than an hour later I was on my way out the door with a new windshield. Everyone there was absolutely amazing!! I'd recommend this safelite to anyone. Had windshield replaced. Worker told me I needed new wipers. They replaced my Toyota wipers that sit below the windshield in a gully with big ole cheesy cheap looking wipers that sit high on the windshield with a big piece that sticks up in the air. They were on sale. Lol. Well, I've owned these cheap things that cost $31.00 for a few hours and they're going in the trash where they belong, and replace them with the correct ones from auto zone where I've purchased them before. The windshield is cheesy looking too. It's not a replica of the one I had. Has a lot of black around the edges. The rubber around the glass doesn't go under the car metal but sits beside it and looks weird because it doesn't meet up. Basically, it wasn't installed correctly. I'll be contacting my insurance to inform them of the poor workmanship. I'll never use them again. I've also never left with tape on the windshield. What kind of crap is that. read more

i just had what was supposed to be a new windshield put in my truck by the Taunton shop and the installer smashed new glass. Now the manager won't send anyone out to fix thier mistake till Friday. Now it's June 13th and can't drive my truck till Friday the 17th? i find this unacceptable and horrible business practice. I will NEVER USE THEM OR RECOMMEND THEM ! wish I could post pics of busted windshield post trim broken, speed pass not put back on, dash cam not reinstalled so on. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE JOB!!! read more

I've used Safelite exclusively for a number of years to do my windshield repairs and replacements - but I'll be looking elsewhere in the future Brief history - windshield replaced a year ago, no issues noted, no leaks. Had vehicle painted and during the time it was at the painter's garage, year old windshield was broken - time to call Safelite! Scheduled appointment and tech came out to do replacement (same guy as last time). Had snowed the day before so I had cleared the snow off the vehicle as well as I could - it's a high roof van. Tech proceeded to replace the cracked windshield with a new one, but cautioned me that the gasket he was using wasn't the right one and "it might blow out at highway speeds". ?? Tech finished replacing the glass and I noticed a significant drip from the driver's side 'A' pillar where the water was coming in past the gasket, into the van and coming out into the interior. I asked the tech about the leak and he made some comment about it being a "body seam" that was leaking and that I should keep an eye on it. ?? That evening, I placed a number of paper towels under the leak, by morning they were completely soaked. I called and scheduled a warranty visit to repair the leaking windshield. Tech comes out today to do the warranty repair - no windshield, no gasket, was told to put some sealant on the "leaking body seam". I showed the tech where the water was probably leaking into the van and how it was running down the interior of the 'A' pillar and weeping out of the small metal seam (clearly not the source of any leakage as it is *inside* the van). Tech called his manager who told him to tell me that the warranty was voided (as I has put a small dab of silicone sealant on the 'A' pillar seam to try to stop the water from coming in) and that I should take the van to a body shop to have "the seam looked at". Amazing! Tech pulls the windshield (that wasn't leaking), replaces it with a new one (wrong gasket), sees the water leaking into the van, and leaves. * * * UPDATE * * * Original tech comes back out - removes existing glass and old sealant/trim/seal. Completely cleans the sealing surfaces, primes potential scratches, preps the area thoroughly. New sealant and seal, old window back in and good to go... Much better job this time - we'll see when the next rain comes along. read more

What service! Had my wind shield replaced recently. They were available with a 2 day notice for a home visit. The service technician Carlos called the morning of and gave my a pretty accurate time frame, and was right on time. He was incredibly nice and very professional. He was all done in just about 45 minutes and the job was great! He even moved my toll pass to a spot that is out of my sight while driving, cleaned my front windows and vacuumed my front seats and floor. Made appointment on Wednesday for a Saturday drop off service. Saturday morning I wake up to an email saying my appointment has been canceled. I call the service center to find out why. I get no answer. They can't tell me why an appointment I made 4 days earlier had been canceled. Needless to say not too happy. Need to have windshield replaced so I can get a new inspection sticker. I called the corporate headquarters phone number to schedule an appointment to have my windshield replaced at my home. The representative scheduled me for the next available mobile appointment which was a week later. After answering a few questions regarding my vehicle and insurance information the representative informed me that a service technician would be at my home between 8am and 12pm on the day of my appointment. The following week I received two e-mails from Safelite Autoglass. One was a reminder for the next days appointment and the other was describing the technician and provided me with a picture of him. The morning of my appointment I received a call from the technician, Rui, who informed me he was on his way to my house and provided me with an approximate arrival time of 20 minutes. 20 minutes later a well marked Safelite Autoglass van pulled into my driveway. Rui stepped out, introduced himself and explained that the repair would take approximately 45 minutes to complete. He replaced the windshield in the time that he quoted, cleaned the glass and vacuumed the car when he was done. The completed repair was flawless. Rui was outstanding in every way, Professional, courteous, and informative. He provided me with a receipt and all pertinent information on the repair.
