Some of these pictures are from walking the sidewalk along the N Gulf Blvd road but are all private areas but the rest are from the Waterfront Park. This is a nice area next to the to pier that takes you out through the mangroves to the water front. Today I had to remember the time change so almost missed it. It is a small area but worth the visit with great views and wildlife.

I've been spending time outdoors, especially since working from home during the weekdays during Covid-19 lockdown. The boardwalk is right in the middle of a mangrove & well maintained. There's also lots of shorebirds when the water has receded - they are fun to watch and are constantly digging for food. Additionally, there's a pier and saw people fishing. Also, it's a blast seeing other boats and a sailboat passing by. They have a big covered area w/tables underneath and smaller shelters to the right of the main pavilion. A lot of people were outside w/their family and included young couples w/their children. This place is close to restaurants as well, so it'd be a perfect spot for a date afterwards! Lots of parking and love how nice it is and best of all, it's FREE!

This is a smaller, but beautiful park. I always park at The Safety Harbor Pier which is free and not far at all to walk. The pier is great and there is another smaller park attached to the other side of the pier too. This waterfront park has a small boardwalk area that overlooks the bay. There are "love locks" along the overlook that I always like to look at and photograph. The view is incredible. I typically see a few birds including Blue Herons when I am here. It is fun to watch them as they dig for their dinner. There is also a little sweet spot where you can see an inlet come in off of the bay. While you will not get in your steps at this park alone...there are TONS of great walking options and interconnected parks. Downtown Safety Harbor is also nearby and interesting to walk. This park is a great location to sit and look at a beautiful landscape and connect with nature.

This was a fun trail to walk. It's probably between 0.5-0.8 miles in a circle and if you walk through the trail extensions. Saw some crabs out, signs about protecting the sea turtles, manatees, dolphins, and horseshoe crabs. Nice cover picnic area was a great view. The pier is a fisherman's dream and is pretty extended out to the waterway. Water bottle/ fountain station located near the tennis course of the hotel. Nice picnic day out or casual walk.

Safety Harbor is the best! This park has a great boardwalk through the mangroves and along the bay. During my walk, I managed to sea a night heron, egrets, crabs, and fishes galore! I look forward to returning when I want to experience some nature before heading out for espresso!

Great place to relax, people watch, meet with friends. Use the benches or bring your own chairs. Beautiful scenery.

When I first turned in I went to the wrong parking lot and saw tennis courts, basketball courts, and a playground. Moving back I saw dog parks, a zip line course, and then a huge lake. I've actually done the zipline course before and enjoyed it. You can do paddleboard tours with Upper Tampa Bay Paddle Sports. I bet you can even bring your own kayak or paddleboard and go into the lake. I saw a sign at one of the dog parks that said for smaller dogs. I don't own a dog, but I imagine that owners of small dogs would appreciate that. This park seems well taken care of and it is nice to know there is a kayaking lake so close to home. I'll definitely come back!

The park is open until dusk (as posted that the gates close then) and there is lots to the area. I went at around dusk and saw some beautiful views of the water. The park area is very clean and obviously well taken care of. Parking is free and although the driveway into the park is paved, you will most likely be parking on grass that has a dip to it. My friends and I enjoyed roaming the area and exploring what the park has to offer.

The nature center has a bathroom and a bit of information, but all the displays were empty, including the outdoor one that allegedly used to have a tortoise. The center is currently closed due to Covid but the bathrooms are open. From what I could tell, on our mad dash to the bathroom and distance viewing, the displays are informative and well done. I'd love to return when it is safe to and take a look. The park has three trails that are part of the spree. We hiked the Bobcat Trail since it includes the boardwalk. The trail travels for about a half mile through trees and over dusty shells. Then it connects to the boardwalk. This was by far the best part. We walked along the beautiful, tree lined water, getting up close and personal with a bunch of small black crabs. We scanned the water for manatees but were not lucky to find any. The trail ends back at the nature center. We climbed the back steps to the top level and caught a great view of the river and the distant city. After the hike we hit up the playground for a few minutes. This is always my kids' favorite part. We also stopped off at the butterfly garden which was pretty active on this day. The park was in great shape, the bathrooms were clean, there were lots of people around doing various park things. Canoeing, kayaking, hiking, nature hunting and playing on the playground are just some of the things available at your fingertips here. So glad we visited! Can't wait to return to check out the other trails.

There's just enough nature here to make it interesting without being overwhelming, and it's great for spotting birds and enjoying some quiet time. What I really appreciated was how calm and uncrowded it felt. It's not one of those packed parks it's more of a low-key spot where you can clear your head, take a walk, and just enjoy being outside. Life is great when you volunteer and help make a positive impact in your local community!

We had the pleasure of attending this park for the first time via invitation to a 6 year olds birthday party! North City Park has 3 different age levels of kids playground equipment including 8 slides, 2 rock climbing walls, 3 kinds of swings, 1 large covered picnic shelter with 6 tables for parties, 1 basketball court, a multi-purpose field with 2 back stops, 2 tennis courts, 1 horseshoe pit, and surprisingly clean restrooms. North City Park has a nice walking trail that winds across the park's whopping 9 acres. There is a mini public library stand with the "take a book, leave a book" option. There is plenty of parking and lots of trees that provide patrons with plenty of shade. North City Park's facilities managed to keep over 25 5 year olds and 6 year olds entertained and moving around for over a half hour without surfing YouTube on their tablets, so I have to say the park was a success!
