Quick and easy BLS class! Does not give paper cards but you have them by the next day online

I took the BLS course. It was a much more enjoyable experience than the last cpr class I took elsewhere and I would definitely come here again next time. We each got plenty of hands-on time with manikins to work our muscle memory. The instructor Justin was engaging and made things easy to understand and remember. He also gave several examples from his experience as a paramedic that illustrated how these techniques work in the real world. I appreciated that it was easy to reschedule the course, that there are so many class times to choose from, and that the class ended on time. read more

This is the first time I've ever taken a training like this. I have to say it was very educational and very very clear on things you can do to save ones life. There were so many things I didn't even know about and the representatives were answering all our questions and going around to see who needed more information one on one. I would definitely recommend them to everyone that asks me about these kind of training. As far as CPR trainings go, these guys were efficient, thorough, and nice overall. I feel totally equipped to step in and address situations calling for CPR for both children and adults. My experience with Berkley CPR Class was convenient, informative, helpful, and overall, very positive. The CPR portion was more interesting than the First Aid, likely because it was more interactive, but I learned a great deal in both. I went specifically for Infant CPR/Choking training, but found all of the information to be helpful as well. JP was a great instructor, and it was obvious that he had been teaching the course for a while. It was nice that he didn't instruct more than he needed to-- I was expecting to have to listen to some boring teacher for 5 hours-- but rather combined videos and hands-on practice, making the class go by quickly. Everything was clean and organized, and I'd definitely recommend coming here for CPR certification if you'd like to be done quickly, and learn in the most efficient yet simplistic way. read more

I avoided taking these classes because it was so redundant and the instructors were always so boring and not as engaged. Not the case for This class, it was very informative, and easy to follow. The instructor was awesome! read more

The instructor was great, the environment was low key, and appropriate for beginners and long time healthcare providers.

The basic life support class for health care providers was clear and comprehensive. JP was a great instructor, knowledge and helpful. I'd recommend these classes to everyone. Whether or not you need it for your job, it's best to be prepared and hopefully you never need to use these skills in an emergency. I re-certified myself in CPR this week, and Berkeley Heartsaver CPR is still great. Some of the things I like: very easy to cancel/change the date of your class; they are well-supplied with mannequins, both adult and child; instructors are very knowledgeable and organized; OK to eat in the classroom and good food spots right next door. read more

I have taken CPR classes every/every other year for the past 15+ years. This was the best instructor I've ever had. Usually, I find that the instructors are less than enthusiastic about the material and just want to get the class over with as soon as possible. But, my instructor was passionate, enthusiastic, and had real-life experiences to share as he is a paramedic and was also a medic in the navy. I was really impressed. I took the combo class of online + skill check for BLS for the Healthcare Provider and I highly recommend it! read more

My CPR certification lapsed in 2005 and now I have a little one, so I figured having a refresher on how to save her if she chokes would be a great thing. And it turns out, it was! Just yesterday I had to give her 5 back blows to dislodge a piece of apple, and it totally worked! The class was concise and J.P. was a great instructor. He has real world experience and was actually pretty funny. The class is really well organized. We stayed on track, and there was time for questions. I highly recommend it. read more

I needed to get my BLS training at the last minute for a job that would not take my CPR certification and I am happy that I live in Berkeley and I can take advantage of these classes being so close by. J.P., the instructor, was very knowledgeable about the subject and friendly. I learned a lot and feel that I can apply what I learned in a real life scenario. I will definitely come back here for future renewals and certifications. This is a good as it gets. You get you American Heart Association card at the end of class! read more

I've been to other places before but Safety Training Seminars is by far the best place I've ever been to. Well organized, attentive and hospitable. Nina is by far the best instructor I've had since I started taking BLS classes several years ago as requirement for my line of work. I am well aware of what I was learning (as I've taken the class many times before) but Nina made it very interesting and humorous. She had a way of making the class feel comfortable and welcome and gave enough time for people to ask questions. I enjoyed her anecdotes very much!
