Stopped in on a Wednesday around 7:20 PM for a salad kit, sushi, orange juice, and laundry detergent. The line was a little longer, about five carts, but it move alright. The store itself was clean, though I will be honest, the produce section looked a little picked over and a couple areas felt like they needed a quick restock. Late Wednesday (5/07/25) afternoon, around 3:00 PM, went to the store to get some Fried Chicken and $6.00 Sushi from the Deli. There were only a couple of people in line, so got serviced quickly. Ordered the 16 piece mixed and a couple of Sushi Rolls. Checkout was a pleasant experience inside the store. I went to this Safeway today and bought some groceries. There were no cashiers open only self check out . I bought some water which is heavy at least for me as I am disabled. . I bought multiple 6 packs of water . When I started scanning I could not lift all the 6 packs of water so I scanned one pack of water 5 times and a woman that works there came up and yelled at me as I am required to scan every one of them . I told her I could not pick up all the bottles . She told me I had too and was very very rude . I did not want to cause a scene so I did not say much. Are you not required to have an ADA lane or ADA friendly space ? I do understand that the staff does not make a lot of money but they were clearly miserable. Safeway you can do better. The only I got to your store is my prescription are there . To the general manager your staff is rude and miserable and you have no ADA assistance. You can do better than that . Terrible leadership. I am not blaming the staff . But you are clearly not doing your job .And you are also in violation of the law . Supermarkets are required to have an ADA cashier open . You don't have one . read more

Always able to find what I'm looking for, they were a bit low on the roasted chicken. But I found one. This particular Safeway has transitioned to mainly self checkout. They do have a Starbucks and an Alaska Federal Credit Union. It's consistently busy and parking right. I park on the side, always careful to watch my surroundings. This day a homeless person was sleeping near an exit in the shade. This Safeway has a gas station onsite. Near the freeway, easy on easy off access. read more

We have shopped at the downtown store for several years. In recent times, pricing gimmicks have left a sour taste. Today I selected 6 items in frozen food that were each marked down one dollar. While checking out the machines voice did not indicate the reduced price. No worry, some items are deducted at the end. Nope, not so. Sure, we can try to find an employee to help but why? Combined with the irritating digital coupon scam, we have decided to continue shopping here but at a VERY REDUCED level. We will increase our shopping where pricing has fewer gimmicks and opportunities for error. Stores that can be trusted. read more

Worse Chinese food ever! They used to be good years ago but we got some this eve, brought it home and can't even eat half of it! Its so nasty and old! They had no noodles made and only a few chicken entree's to choose from ( and it was long before their closing time). The orange chicken is hard as a rock and doesn't even have a hint of orange flavor, the pot stickers are so old they are dried up inside and the Kung Pao chicken is just plain nasty. Upon last resort I added sweet n sour sauce to my rice and it tastes like a fried fish! Never heard of anyone adding fish sauce to sweet and sour sauce. We hadn't gotten Chinese here in years so my husband brought some home but none of the three meals he got are edible. * yes, that's two pot stickers in the picture! Hard as rocks! This is a review regarding just their bakery. I have been using them for years for birthday cakes and cupcakes. Have always had a good experience. I'm not picky on the cake design so usually I just tell them a color and let them design however they want. The cake is always so cute. I recommend the non-dairy whip, it's not too sweet and everyone at our parties seem to enjoy them more than buttercream. read more

on August 3rd, 2021. Upon my arrival, multiple employees took the carts from the corrals. The exterior walls were decent. Litter could be spotted throughout the parking lot. When I entered the store, the trashcan was located near carts was full and the station with hand sanitizer and wet wipes was empty. I was also not greeted until my turn at the cash register. The bathroom was a visible mess, with a small puddle and footstep marks, and messy counters. Toilet paper was almost out yet soap and napkins were restocked. No associate asked me how my experience was going nor if I needed assistance. Aisles were well stocked and kept fairly clean. Expiration dates had not passed on any items I looked over. At the cash register, after waiting for a few minutes I was finally greeted by Marie, I asked the associate, Marie, if they knew where I'd find an item, they did not know nor did they offer any helpful information. Our transaction was quick about 6 minutes, she smiled and said goodbye. I had a decent experience, I got most of the items I needed, unfortunately, the store not having that item in stock made me go to another store for their product. I will be shopping there again but this time go through self-checkout since I didn't receive the attention and support I needed as a customer. read more

I don't shop there anymore. The bathrooms are locked because people are using them for various purposes beyond which they were intended. Carts are at a premium because people steal them. There are sketchy people hanging out, asking for money and just generally being sketchy. Even if this is the most convenient, I'll go out of my way to shop somewhere else. It isn't really the fault of Safeway. Safeway didn't cause the social problems that are making the store feel unsafe, but Auburn isn't solving them, either. read more

Don't shop in the do it yourself aisles. The "help" is rude and so are the so called "helpers". There was no barricade across the machine I was using, and I am handicapped. All of a sudden, there is a "helper" yelling at me that she has bee "waiting for me" for quite a while because there is a spill that I hadnt even seen, but I had almost slipped in twice before she was even on the scene. I moved out of the way for her. And she just stood there. I finally told her, "I'm waiting for you because I don't want to slide again or fall. It would have been helpful if you had cordoned off this space and cleaned BEFORE you allowed someone to use this machine." I was not apologized to or asked if I was all right. It will be quite a while before I go into this Safeway again to shop if this is going to be your employees' attitude! read more

My family decided to use the Safeway Deli to provide the food for a memorial we were having. The Deli manager and several staff helps us with the options and allowed us to sample some of the wings to be able to make our selection. We ordered three types of wings trays, 2 fruit trays and a veggie tray. On the day of pick-up everything was ready on time. All the items were fresh and the display on the trays was outstanding, they even helped us load the trays there were 7 all together. Everyone enjoyed the food it was a big hit! If I could make 2 suggestions; it would be very helpful if the store could provide so inexpensive serving utensils and have some way to make the different types of wings. You come in to view poorly stocked shelves and produce, then maybe proceed over to get some Chinese food...(I have been a patron since they put it in their stores many years ago.} The supreme combo was horrible! The woman behind the counter acted like I was bothering her. The meal was the lowest quality. I threw half of it out due to the gristle-ly chicken and the dry noodles. this is my regular Safeway and every time now they have been closing the store 5-15 min early, this isnt a 1 time thing either it happens every night. not only that but all the employees are disrespectful rushing everyone and being rude to ppl just trying to check out. if the employees are gonna yell and hassle everyone about checking out by 11:53!! I came here to order flowers for my Sunday wedding, since there are no other florists open on Sundays and I didn't want to pick the flowers up early. When we got there, there were banners advertising wedding flowers. However, after waiting in the floral department for 15 minutes with nobody around, I finally had to go the customer service counter to ask for help. Someone was paged, and she came out to speak with us. She was extremely rude, and asked me to come back in a few days when the floral department manager was there. I explained to her that I work during the day, and that I drove there from Puyallup to order my flowers, but she would not take my order. She then said she was quitting soon, so she didn't want to take my order. Literally, she said she "DIDN'T WANT to take my order." This is my idea of a perfect Safeway. It's easy to get to, near other things I may want to visit (a bar, other shopping, etc), they have all the modern store amenities (a bakery, deli, chinese food) and they have a range of food, brands and quality selection. They have a gas station on site which is great for the 10 cent discounts you get when you spend more than $50. read more

I've been going to this location for 20+ years and these last 3 years they have gone downhill..their customer service is HORRIBLE. I ride public transit because I work downtown Seattle and one day walked to Safeway to buy some groceries and my husband would pick me up. I got groceries, spent $45+ and was standing outside by the orange lockers, the security guy comes up and asks me when I'm going to leave because I've been standing there for more than 10 minutes and their policy is 10 minutes.. I understand there's a lot of homeless and drug addicts causing Safeway problems but I'm nowhere near looking like that and plus I was just shopping at your store and waiting for my ride. Worst service I have ever had especially from the manager Colleen. She had me stand at a desk for 10 mins and couldn't even acknowledge me or say anything..so unsatisfied with her. They had many good selections. Second ingredient was zucchini. Ok, we head over to produce. No zucchini. Wtf. My wife were buying groceries on 11/16/20 when a group of 15 or more black lives matter group was in the bakery area with shirts, coats and signs. I find it racist , offensive and an inappropriate setting for a customer to be herassed and followed throughout the store by someone from the group. Not carrying a basket or pushing a cart. She also had not picked up a single item the entire time we shopped through throughout the entire store. I voiced my concern to the clerk and Hispanic manager. She told me that the group was being peaceful. I do not think a grocery store inside setting. The manager was rude. If you have had an opportunity to use their pharmacy DON'T, probably the most unorganized unpersonable place I have ever encountered, I've been there multiple times for other family members and I have yet to have them have a single visit go without a hitch, my favorite being, I ordered a refill on the phone it said it would be ready after three pm. I wasn't able to go until two days later, I get there and was told the were out of the medication and it needed to be ordered, I got no phone call prior to that and that has happened three times. Also if you are out of refills and they need to contact your doctor, you need to micro manage this step four times my doctor was never notified until I called. Super frustrating and super inconvenient, we will be switching all our extended families prescriptions to Rite Aid north Auburn. read more

Honestly my shopping trip was great until check out. Pamela is very friendly but she made checkout painful. She asked questions about all my purchases and asked me so many personal questions. I was just trying to buy some groceries but she was talking my face off about non sense. I was embarrassed that everyone else in line thought I was holding them up.
