Looking for bottles water and some snacks for the hotel. So I walked into the store and picked up some items. Was tempted to get a Starbucks but he was waiting so I skipped it. Found the beverage section and got Gatorade as well. Some sunflowers seeds for me, remembered he needed dental floss and got some of that. I have now come to this Safeway at least 5 times now and while this is a nice store the service here is terrible! Every time I have went through self check out and every time the employees don't acknowledge you, say anything and not a thank you at all! The selection and store ambiance are really good, but does not make up for the horrible service. Won't be back and will go to Kings Soopers next time. read more

I just started to do my shopping there because the store is close to my house and I thought the staff was helpful and friendly. That was before my wife tried to send money at the customer service counter via Western Union to her mother in Nicaragua. The clerk said $1200 was too much to send and her manager didn't leave the proper forms for that amount. My wife then asked how much she could send? The clerk answered that she couldn't send any money because she changed her mind about the amount. My wife then said alright and she left the store. We then went to City Market at 12th. and Patterson. She went in and sent $1200 to Nicaragua with the help of a helpful and smiling customer service clerk. Needless to say I won't be doing any more shopping at Safeway. They just lost a cutomer. read more

Not my type of staff or area They just don't understand the world and just being a decent person and giving a simple heads up. Point blank period. Stuck in the 60s for dynamics And tha managers are young. To the point of I don't understand the world but I'll do this job for the pay without really understanding. I went to the deli to get a breakfast sandwich at around 8:30 AM on a Friday. After standing at the counter for a minute I was created by the manager and I requested an egg and sausage sandwich on focaccia. She said it would take two minutes to warm up and I said fine. I stepped back and looked around the deli counter as the oven warmed up and I then noticed that my sandwich was being assembled with cheese, I didn't mention cheese and then asked for no cheese. She mentioned to me that all of the sandwiches come with cheese and if I didn't want cheese that I should have asked for no cheese. She took it off, but mentioned again that I should have asked for no cheese. Argh, getting scolded. After taking the sandwich out of the oven she immediately wrapped it without asking me about vegetables to add. As I was already told I didn't know the ordering sequence and I didn't want to feel stupid again I didn't say anything. At the Safeway locations back home in Phoenix, AZ they ask what you want on the sandwich before and after it goes in the oven. Oh and they're friendly. Perhaps I am spoiled. read more

The Polite helpful staff is what makes me want to put in a review for this store. We were simply passing through town and wanted a bit of fruit for the day. The produce for the store was excellent and we selected our few goodies and went through the self checkout line. One item rang up and what we thought was too high a price so we asked for assistance to un ring it. the lady was so nice and helpful and completed the transaction like a best friend. read more

Just wrapping up a cross-country RV trip and associated reviews. While passing through Grand Junction, CO we stopped by this Safeway for gas, supplies, a Starbucks in their cafe, and a wifi fix... The Gas, supplies and coffee went well (and they got our $$), but the store's WIFI was on the fritz. We then learned the WIFI had been inoperative for over 2-weeks... and no/little plans to repair... The doughnuts at this Safeway are extremely hit-and-miss. But the people working are nice and it seems clean.

I usually shop at City Markets because they are EVERYWHERE. I just glanced through the sales for Safeway and found some really good ones so I went a little out of me way to swing in. I was so impressed when I walked through the doors, it was like entering another grocery store dimension. Everything was so clean and bright and organized and stocked. The employees I encountered were happy to be there and it seemed like the customers were too. I hope these guys stick around! read more

During a visit to Grand Junction in June 2018, we visited this store twice. Both times the smell was so overwhelmingly horrible I could barely stay inside. Other than that, the people were friendly. (I do not know how they could stay in there for many hours) read more

Deli sucks to be blunt. Worst breakfast burritos I have experienced at a Safeway and when you ask the man at the deli to make s fresh one he gets annoyed and when you ask for ant fresh veggies he says they don't have any yet they do. I travel and get breakfast burritos made fresh all the time at Safeway. I tried twice and both times super unsatisfied. Cashiers are very nice though and store is clean. read more

I called to find out if the store offers on line shopping (The store picks my order and I drive by and pick it up.) The lady who answered the phone didn't know and she said she would transfer me to cust. service. That phone rang for 5 full minutes and no answer-then disconnect. I know City Mkt offers this service-so guess where we will do our shopping. read more

I've noticed on many occasions that stockers don't pay attention to expiration dates on their food, especially dairy meat and produce. I'm not sure if it's the abundance of 16 year olds running the place or if things just slip though the cracks. It was also a sad day when they got rid of their self check out lanes, and replaced them with cashier lanes that are hardly ever open, you end up waiting in line forever even if you just popped in to buy one item. Every time I use this pharmacy they bill the wrong insurance, takes over an hour when waiting for scripts, minimum 30 min when picking up a script that is "ready". Pharmacy techs are rude and act put out when helping customers. Unfortunately this is the only pharmacy close to our house when we need something filled on weekends or nights. read more
