Recently, I started shopping at Walgreens again for my HABA needs (HABA is Health and Beauty Aids). But on a Tuesday evening, I went in this Walgreens for milk and ice cream. First thing I noticed.....there's no carts or shopping baskets. I looked around and didn't see any. I asked the cashier, and she said if you don't see any, then there must be none. She said I have to carry things in my hands. You know, that limits how much I can buy, and lowers the store's sales. I found my jug of milk and ice cream. I stood in line, and a customer ahead of me had the only shopping basket in the store. The thoughtful cashier offered it to me, so I could buy more stuff. I asked why no carts or baskets, and the cashier said they were all stolen. The shoplifters use the carts and baskets to carry away their items. I don't know if I'll shop in this store again. Turns out they didn't even have one in stock. I can't confirm, but it feels like they slow walked the whole thing hoping they could get one in for me to purchase. My doc was out of the office on a Friday, so I asked them to send me a copy so I could take the prescription somewhere else. First they told me they couldn't give me a copy as it was some kind of problem for me to have my own prescription from my own doctor. It is not a HIPPA violation, and I told them so. They told me a boss had to make that decision, and they would be in later. I called back when I didn't hear from them, and they promised they would email it to me. That of course never happened. Not good, Sunrise, not good. Please go somewhere else and skip the hassle and dishonesty.
