Wow. I completely echo the recent one-star reviews about the inability to get anybody at this…read morepharmacy on the phone. Some months ago it seemed they had made some improvements, and it was getting a little easier to get a human being on the phone at the pharmacy, but more recently things have really taken a nosedive. Calls to the pharmacy are now routed through a call center located who knows where, but since many issues can only be resolved at the pharmacy itself, the call center ends up transferring you to the local pharmacy you were trying to reach in the first place, wasting your time in the process. When you get transferred to the Otis Dr. pharmacy, they simply do not pick up the phone. You are put on hold and put back on hold infinitely until you give up or the system automatically hangs up on you. This is completely unacceptable. Zero respect for customers, their time and well-being, especially the infirm, elderly, and disabled who may not have the tenacity to keep trying to reach this unreachable pharmacy. Having no way to reach one's pharmacy over the phone is a health and safety issue that warrants a formal complaint with the appropriate government agencies. All because Walgreens corporate doesn't want to spend the money to staff appropriately. Shameful and inexcusable.

One time, I was on hold for 7 minutes and they hung up on me. I'm moving my medications to CVS. They'll miss the business, cause I have great benefits and I'm on HRT! Bye bye, Walgreens.

They've replaced the cash slot cards with this. The steady elimination of cash continues. SMH.

I don't usually have a positive enough…read moreexperience with a pharmacy to actually be driven to write a review, but this one stood out to me. I had been looking to get Novavax for the newest version of the COVID vaccine and after calling numerous CVS locations near me, I found out from the automated phone system message that this CVS carried it. However, to be on the safe side, I called and left a voicemail (it takes a lot of time navigating the phone tree to get to that option and I could not find a way to have it connect me directly on the phone to the pharmacist). For my first voicemail, the pharmacist called back to let me know it wasn't in stock yet and they didn't know exactly when it'd arrive and that the automated system isn't always accurate. I decided to book a vaccine appointment further out and then called back again the day before my appointment to double check, and fortunately they did have Novavax in stock and the pharmacist told me to make sure that when I check in at the pharmacy counter, I ask to have Novavax specifically, or else by default they would use Pfizer. The pharmacist was also quite timely and generally called me back within an hour of me leaving a voicemail each time. When I got there 30 mins early for my appointment, the wait was short (it was a weekday afternoon) for the vaccine check-in line. I was pleasantly surprised that the pharmacist remembered me when I checked in and recalled that I had talked to them over the phone and that I wanted Novavax. No inappropriate questioning about whether/how I was immunocompromised which I've encountered at other CVS locations in the east bay. They had at least 4 chairs in the waiting area and I didn't find it too noisy or overstimulating, which is what I typically encounter at local CVS and Walgreens pharmacies that are high traffic. It was very quick and I just had to wait no more than 5 minutes to get my actual vaccination, which happened in one of the little cubicles/booths (has an open ceiling) that they have for vaccinations. A different pharmacist was the one who administered my vaccine but they were efficient and let me know I just needed to wait at the pharmacy for 15 minutes in case of adverse side effects and then I was free to go. Both the pharmacists I interacted with were wearing surgical masks which I appreciate given the current COVID surge. It was a very smooth experience getting vaccination here and I appreciate how the pharmacist was courteous and timely in returning my calls and remembered who I was since I imagine they talk to many different people. It was a good enough experience that I'd seriously consider coming here for any further vaccinations even though this isn't the closest CVS to where I live.

Terrible service and workers, including their incompetent manager Richard. Came to pick up a same…read moreday poster order at 10:15pm which was ordered at 6:46pm and of course it's not ready. Assumed a same day order that said 7:40pm pick up would be ready at 10pm no problem. WRONG! I had no problem waiting after being told it's in the queue to print. After waiting about 20mins manager comes to offer help without me saying anything which started off as kind. Slowly but surely he didn't know what he was doing of course. Obvious lack of training so I give him that because I work in service too so I get it. I'm patient and understanding, no problem or complaint from me. He then made me resubmit my order to trouble shoot and I told him I paid already. He said ok resubmit and do a store pick up I won't charge you. I said well it's making me pay again and if it's not working I don't want another charge. He says let me try on your phone, so him and another worker proceed to also try and both fail at pay in store option. Again no complaint, at this point I'm invested in getting it to work too. We are a team against the problem in my eyes. So after being told he had this problem earlier and deleted it and resent it around 7:20 I stated I get it but someone could've called to let me know it didn't work the first time since it was to be picked up at 7:40pm. I was then told "You could've called too." Apparently putting your phone number in the section that states "phone number for contact" is irrelevant. So now I'm pissed because I was so chill and no attitude but now because I clearly called out a short coming as a manager for lack of communication he got a smart attitude. So I asked who's in charge of photos and he says no one is really in charge. I ask who is the manager and of course he's the manager. How convenient. So I left with no photos nor a refund and told to come back the next day in hopes they fix it. This never happens at Walgreens and I only went here for the coupon! Will not be doing business here anymore all thanks to the rude manager Richard and their crap printers. Get better managers and properly train your employees. And give refunds if printing doesn't work.

The lady was clearly frustrated when I forgot my vaccination card at home. I told her I can come back with the card if that's an issue. She then found my information and yells what shots am I getting. I told her vaccination booster shot then she cuts me off and asked " what about the flu shot?" At that point, I had no idea that my dear husband had booked me a booster shot AND a flu shot appointment. Going into this Safeway, I had no idea about the flu shot so I paused and think quickly if I wanted to do both. At that point she yells again towards the computer screen saying " IS THIS YOUR HUSBAND's appointment or YOUR'S? You don't even know what you are getting? IIS YOUR HUSBAND GETTING THE SHOT OR YOU?!" I can't help but to wonder how can a person with zero professionalism be working at a pharmacy... I'm sure there are people out there that has their spouse or family member to book you appointments when you are honestly too busy with childcare at home, am I right? I strongly ask management to look into the type of person they are hiring and that the message these people are sending to their local shoppers. ** Hostile and unprofessional toward customers **

Check your receipts!…read more The shelf price is not the same as the scan price. I had multiple items on my receipt that ended up being a few dollars to double the price. I thought it was weird when my total was higher than expected. When I went to go look at my receipt, the items were more expensive than the shelf price. I bought: - Powdered peanut butter, which were supposed to be $2.50, but rung up as $4.84 - Nature Valley Cinnamon Almond biscuits, which were supposed to be $6.94, but rung up as $9.98 Then I had to wait in the customer service line for 30 minutes because it's always long and they only has 1 person working there. It's almost like they do this on purpose so people will just get scammed by the price and decide it's not worth the time.
