The next appointment is in 5 weeks and he cannot fill my prescription until after the appointment. I then spoke with Key and told him my Provider already saw me in her office and she is well aware of my lab values. Fill the script as ordered or speak with my provider. I need my medication. The patient should not have to debate a dosage with their pharmacist. If he questions the dosage, he needs to call my provider and then my provider calls me. Its really quite simple. He then hung up on me and told my provider he will not be filling my medication ever. Wow !! Why is this guy allowed to practice as a pharmacist ?? Unreal !

I am Romani. A Team Lead named Jason treated me like I was stealing despite me having stolen nothing and intending to pay. During the interaction, Jason called me "gypsy" and made comments including "you people" and "you people steal." I found this incredibly degrading and discriminatory. Jason demanded that I immediately follow him. I explained I was still shopping and only needed paper towels and toilet paper about 12 feet away. I even asked him to accompany me while I grabbed them. He angrily refused. I requested a manager, and Neel identified himself as a manager. Jason called me "gypsy" in Neel's presence, yet Neel did not meaningfully address the ethnic remark. I was told Jason would take the milk upfront so I could pay. I went upfront as instructed. Jason was there, but the milk wasn't. After waiting, I asked if he was bringing it. He told me no. Thankfully, a young man and young woman working around self-checkout treated me with kindness, brought me milk, and I paid for it. I appreciate those two employees. I left feeling humiliated, stereotyped, and targeted because of my Romani ethnicity. Nobody should be stereotyped as a thief because of their ethnicity, especially while simply trying to buy milk for their newborn. I have formally reported this to Walmart under Complaint #KCM1093886 and hope Walmart takes this seriously and thoroughly investigates what occurred.

From 2020 through 2022 they were the only pharmacy to honor the GoodRX price for my dogs Valley Fever medication. I contacted all the other pharmacies in the area, such as Basha's, Costco, Sam's Club, Walgreen's, CVS, Fry's, Walmart and some local independents. Safeway was the only one to honor the price of around $75 per month (listed on GoodRx), whereas the others wanted anywhere from $350-$450 per month (but GoodRx was around $75 for all of the others). I know $75 per month isn't cheap but it allowed my dog to have a longer life and reduce the bone pain that he was feeling because the valley fever had spread.

So, I drove 10 minutes to their store to learn they too didn't have what I needed. CVS in my neighborhood is not very busy. Every few miles, there's one or two competitor pharmacies. Well.
