Well, the other place said it had been filled, so they couldn't. I spent over a half hour the first day trying to reach them to tell them not to fill and didn't reach them. The second day, I spent 45 minutes talking with someone and they said they would cancel it. Sadly, two hours later, they called me and said that the Rx's had been filled. That set me over the top. Never go there because it can take up to two weeks to get something filled and you never know if employees will really be working and that the Rx will be open even though it is posted open hours. I really rate them a -20!!!!!

I, masked in N95 - no cough, went to pick up the script and the woman behind the desk asked my info, saw what I was there for and freaked out on me: "YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE! IF I GET COVID, I COULD DIE!" I responded with "WELL I HAD CANCER!" She wouldn't help me so I went to the front desk to pay for my items. I asked for a manager, and none were there. A customer who witnessed this unprofessional behavior followed me to the front and said she was so sorry that happened to me and saw how poorly I was treated. The employee told me "they didn't have that (Paxlovid) here." I then checked the website and it says Rite Aid carries it. I call the pharmacy and wait 36 minutes on hold to talk to a Pharmacist, who was very nice. Turns out Rite Aid's supplier hasn't sent them Paxlovid so she said I can have another pharmacy transfer the script. Helpful! I called Safeway and they picked up the phone immediately. Have Paxlovid in stock, no problem. They fax over a request at 2:45pm. My husband went to pick up after 5 pm and Rite Aid, hadn't yet sent over the script. Called again, no wait time, and took care of it. Safeway, Freddy's, and Walmart all have the drug in stock and won't treat you like a leper. I posted online in the Newport FB group about this horrible experience and this employee has a long history of treating people poorly and has been reported multiple times. Why is she still employed? Why is someone who can die of Covid working behind the desk AT A PHARMACY?I Also, a suggestion: if you don't want sick people coming into a store that's called a PHARMACY, put a big sign out front directing customers to drive-thru! Tell them you don't carry the drug. Have masks available and hand sanitizer at the door! Also, call people who have the drug called in and tell them you don't have it and then they don't come for it. Problems all solved and no customer will be treated with disrespect - against Rite Aid's Code of Ethics and poor business!

While checking out at the Florence, Oregon Bi Mart on Monday, December 1, 2025, I was treated very…read morerudely and unprofessionally by the male clerk (Terry) while checking out my purchase! I had forgotten that I was paying with a return credit slip and mentioned that it was a complicated return policy, as I got out the return ticket he mentioned that it was meant to be difficult so as to deter customers from returning items. I than said to him that that wasn't good for customer relations to which he uttered "you can always shop somewhere else!" I couldn't believe what I had just heard... I'm a retired produce manager who worked for over 38 years serving the public and have received 20 Outstanding Service Awards! Had I ever spoken to customers like Terry did I would have been reprimanded and or fired! I have shopped Bi Marts in both Florence, Oregon and Lincoln City, Oregon for 8 years and have never been treated or spoken to with such disgrace by any clerk! Joining the Hi-School franchise really improved their pharmacy service, but they have kept a great selection in the "gift" part as well. They definitely have a bit of everything in pharmaceuticals/beauty products/beer & wine/etc - not a giant selection, but enough that if you're visiting or a local and need something in a hurry, they can meet your needs (at a decent price.) Plus, they're very friendly to both their employees and their customers.

Once when their Philips Respironics home concentrator was giving error messages, they were here within minutes with a replacement machine. That machine has worked great since. I go through many supplemental oxygen tanks every week, the requisite cannulas, and regulators. They are very helpful 100% of the time. Once a month I attend support groups both here in Oregon, and one national group. Based upon member feedback, I (We) have the very best Durable Medical Equipment supplier/vendor.
