This pharmacy at 5146 Stevens Creek lost my longstanding business at around 2:05 p.m. on 5/26/2023 The staffer who answered the phone was extraordinarily unhelpful, verging on rude, when I inquired about the ETA for a prescription fill. Later I moved the prescription elsewhere to ensure I could get it in time. The same staffer claimed they cancelled the prescription and returned it to their stock but apparently lied, since it didn't get cancelled. I had to call again to speak to a different staff member (Ken?) who seemed more clueful and went ahead and actually cancelled it. Too bad since I'd had OK experiences here in the past. read more

Got a prescription filled today by Susan and she was extremely helpful. Not only was she friendly and efficient but she saved me a large amount of money on my prescription. Despite some negative reviews I chose to go there since it's very close to my house and I'm glad I did! I will definitely continue to go to this pharmacy. read more

Rude rude rude! Susan could not have been more rude. She was annoyed even having to explain to me where I could drop my meds since I could not with this pharmacy. She treated me like I was a drug addict. I am actually a decent person trying NOT to flush meds and add forever chemicals to HER drinking water. I will never go here again. She also didn't want me to get my vaccines here. She said the wait was over an hour and shook her head no. Bye Susan! Sleep well tonight knowing how you treat others. read more

The old guy who works here, Milo, should not be in a job where he has to interact with customers. He doesn't enjoy it, and it shows. If you show up at a particular time of day, the "Drop off" line may or may not be closed. It's hard to tell, because they don't put up a "Please use other window" sign up or anything. So you can just stand there for 15-20 minutes, see other people picking up their prescriptions from the "Pick Up" window, and wonder why you keep getting ignored. Milo can clearly see you. He just doesn't care. He will let you wait until they close. He's not going to tell you that window is "closed", because that would require a second of caring that he's clearly not capable of. So if by chance you go to the pick-up window and try to drop off your prescription, they'll probably tell you they don't even carry your particular drug, and you should go somewhere else. Not "we can order it for you". Nope. They don't want your business. They want you to go away and leave old Milo alone. read more

By far the worst pharmacy I have ever had to deal with. Having been in the medical industry for over 7 years, I have never seen an entity operate so inefficiently. I called to request an rx refill yesterday at 10:40. The idiot that answered the phone claimed she was unable to transfer an rx from one Safeway pharmacy location to another...and then kept me on the phone for several minutes while she talked to herself. She said she didn't see anymore refills in the system, so I had to walk get through the rx refill protocol - to contact the doctors office via faxed rx refill request or to call them for authorization. I asked her to call me back to confirm. I called again at 12:58 to check on the status of my rx since I didn't hear from them. I got the same girl. Rude as ever and evidently did not get anything done. I asked her to take care of this so that I could pick up my medication. I requested for a call back. Third time calling 2:24 pm. My prescription was still not ready. Came in today to pick up my rx. The pharmacist said he had nothing on file. What a horrendous and absolute waste of time. This place needs to get shut down. As a professional, customers should never be treated like this! read more

Most of the time I stand in line to pick up meds for my kid. I call my kid's doctor to call Safeway Pharma to approve refill -IT'S ALL QUIET FOR WEEKS AT A TIME after Safeway gets response from our doctor- no notification that they got approval- no notification they will scratch their bottoms to get the med - NOTHING, until I'm down to 1 pill and I call those Safeway clown's automated system. Once in a while I talk to them and they say med will be ready by this hour- I show up at that time and they tell me to wait 20 min, then I stand in line again, and then need some more minutes. Once I yelled at that that this is not rocket science to drop pills from one jar to another (I'm not proud of my behavior, but if I don't do this they might as well think that anything goes!) The quick turnaround of pharmacists does not help either, as new ones don't know what medial billing is and can't get insurance or Medical approval on most common of drugs covered by 100%. As my kid has Medical this place is USELESS- they told me that Seroquel XR - an extended version of a med for which generic regular version is available for FREE (with Medical) (or for $6 a month at Costco) will cost me $3,000/year. I went to Walgreens, which was able to bill Medical the right way and my kid got this Original formula med for FREE. If you got a case when Costco, Walmart, and Safeway pharmacy quote you thousands per year as your insurance does not cover it (they tell you after 10 days of trying...) go to CVS or Walgreens. Walgreens worked for me perfect (3day approval). These Safeway guys don't know medical billing. These Safeway guys are slow. These Safeway do everything "program-minimum", just wishing you'll leave them alone. They waste your time on mundane banal stuff that should be as straightforward as Safeway checkout. If you pay cash for meds and are 100% certain no one but you will pay, then Costco pharmacy is where you go in California (I'm sure it's the case in many of not most other states). As for the pharmaceutical companies- they are disgusting (I will not call them pigs, as those are noble animals, compared to dirty pharma)! How can you charge 3 grand a year for a drug having non-extended release formula for $6 per months' supply?! Don't get duped into retarded NO vote on next pharma crack down like it was with California Proposition 61, Drug Price Standards (2016). You missed your chance to force disgusting Pharma drop their prices in a big way. Disgusting pharma spend over $125,000,000 to defeat this proposition on 100% lies put in ads. Just use your noggin's contents next time: Whey would pharama spend $125 million if it wasn't to save their fat (you know what)???? As for the convenience of getting my groceries and meds at the same place???... Safeway sells food with fillers, antibiotics, genetically modified unlabeled ingredients, growth hormones, artificial flavors, colors (that are assigned numbers to them to treat you like you are stupid), preservatives, chemicals to maintain physical appeal of the product for longer, and a ton of other stuff not meant to be eaten. The majority of Safeway foods were engineered to addict. I go to Trader Joe's instead, buy veggies at local market and Lion the Chinese store. Once in a blue moon I pop up at Wholefoods or Sprouts. Safeway does offer organic, but UNLESS IT IS ON SALE and for some strange reason I'm in Safeway I'm not paying Safeway prices. The only time I bought some food is when Safeway Pharma tell me to space out yet again for 20min and I'm to bored to go to Marshall's to see if their inventory changed. Then I'd get some item on sale if there's no one in auto-chechout line. read more

In my opinion lisa and kieth are the ones that keep that pharmacy going, lisa goes to any lengths to make sure she help you in transferring prescriptions telling you about some or how can you get your prescriptions send both lisa and keith are very polite in their customer service is outstanding. That itself is the reason I will give the pharmacy for stars, since the new people have come into the pharmacy it seems to me that they don't wanna be bothered with looking to see if prescriptions have been faxed, called in or even there. seems to me that the new employee by the name of your denise is extremely bothered with transferring prescriptions, that is her job and she won't do it until she wants to, this is just my opinion but I've heard other customers state that they think this woman is just lazy. read more

the girls who work there aren't very quick... line accumulates pretty fast here and takes long to get through. not the more efficient workers. also amidst construction, so if you are getting your shots.. you're doing it on the bench seat in front of the office. once the construction is finished, they will have a nice private area for consults and shots. read more

Terrible customer service, I won't be going back. Stanford ER sent a prescription to the pharmacy at 12:20 this afternoon. At 2:30 pm I called to see if it was ready. Lisa told me "we just got it 20 minutes ago and the pharmacist was out to lunch". Lisa gives this same story each time, and I've heard it too many times for it to be true. There is NO way I always walk in or call exactly 20 minutes after my Rx is sent! I asked when the Rx would be filled and was told 4pm. Really? It takes 1.5 HOURS to fill an Rx that you have already had for 2 hours? I made arrangements to have the Rx transferred to a pharmacy that cares about customer service. Safeway was to fax the Rx to the new pharmacy. At 4:30, this still had not occurred. I called and talked to Eric, asking why it would take so much time to fill a prescription, and so much time to transfer it, and he told me to ask the new pharmacy... It was Safeway that delayed everything. Once the new pharmacy had the Rx from Safeway, I had my meds within 10 minutes! No waiting for hours, no lies covering up incompetence, AND the people at the new pharmacy were cheerful, helpful, and just plain NICE! read more

Worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with, spoke with Denise who informed me that they were unable to call for a prescription transfer and were unable to pull it up on their system because Safeway pharmacy computers are not connected, I was a pharmacy customer at another Safeway but after this bs I will not be using safeway again. These people are a bit lazy and don't seem to want to do their job. I did call my other Safeway pharmacy that usually does my prescriptions and they are the ones who told me that the rep I was dealing with sounded like she didn't want to do her job. read more

Customer service here is awful. You need to be very careful that you are getting taken care of correctly. Also, you can't rely on their automated system to renew prescriptions. Make sure you call and talk to someone if you want a renewal to happen. read more

Very very bad customer service. My daughter was sick and needed medication for her wheezing and the guy who picked up couldn't be bothered to fill the prescription because it was almost closing time and couldn't be bothered to transfer the prescription either. read more
