I will admit that there was a lot of people in the store, which is understandable due to it being a weekend and the holiday season. There is plenty of parking, which is nice as well. The deals are great and there are a lot of good finds. There is also fresh fruit so I will have to come back when it's less crowded and check out the food section. I love that the store is really well organized and clean, which makes it easy to find what you are looking for. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I feel that there were plenty of staff there so if you have a question, one of them can easily help you. I used the self check out and it was a smooth process and the line moved fast. We needed a sun umbrella for the cotati accordion festival and even though inventory showed two there was only one. The guy in sportswear was so helpful and he tried so hard to find the missing umbrella. We ended up just buying one and it was great. Our past visit we had help from a great employee who talked us through price matching. I understand these are stressful times but sometimes I think people take out their frustrations on service personnel. I feel the folks here have always overperformed for me and always tried to help.

I want to start by saying that the techs are very friendly and helpful and that I don't think any of them are the problem. The first time I realized something was off, was my grandmother trying to get her EasyTouch insulin syringes. Not medication, just her syringes (which she had done many times before). In the middle of this transaction, the head pharmacist walked over to my grandmother and the tech as she was purchasing her syringes and proceeded to ask for details about her prescription that had not been relevant before. I cannot recall exactly what was different, but long story short, my grandmother had to go to CVS, because the Walmart pharmacist used her discretion to not sell her insulin syringes.. again, not her insulin prescription, just the syringes.. Now today, they decided that they were not going to fill my prescription from my doctor, because they, and I quote, "don't usually see the medication prescribed like that." (It is blood pressure medication and a generic for neuropathy). If either of these were controlled, or even uncontrolled and somehow "abuseable" medication, I would understand, but no, they just decided to no fill my completely innocuous (but highly important for my life!), prescription. My doctor had a conversation with the pharmacist and still came away not understanding why they decided not to fill it. If this was opioid pain-medication, benzodiazepine or something of that nature, I would understand and only have the initial story and write that off as a fluke, but at this point it appears to be a running theme to unnecessarily impede the work of MD's for the sake of...? What? I don't know and I don't care to find out. Anyway, go to any other pharmacy for your prescription needs; this place seems to have a weird axe to grind when it comes to trying to play doctor for your doctor, as though they are part of your care team and involved with why and how your health is being treated. I want to reiterate that the people who have worked the register and otherwise hold down the pharmacy, are very helpful, knowledgeable and kind.

Seeing a happy, healthy, sleepy kitty lounging in a store tells me that the staff and the local clientele is kind and whimsical. The world needs more bodega cats, truly. Apparently this kitcat is named Miku and while he does have a human, he spends most of his time roaming town, and clearly lots of time at this CVS. Other than Miku, I thought this CVS was relatively well stocked and very clean. While there was a bit of a line at checkout and I only saw 1 staff member, she was kind. We found what we needed and were in and out quickly.

I will continue to shop here for a few products. They do carry La Roche Posay if you're looking for fancy skincare! And they often have Hippeas vegan chickpea puffs (IYKYK); they are hard to find but are also sold at Shelton's in town and at Whole Foods in Coddingtown Mall. If you do visit this CVS, don't be surprised if you see a cat lounging in the aisle or helping himself to cat food. Head PHARMACIST: STEVEN BOOTH Contacts: Diana and Lisa and one other woman Pharmacist have each given me caring feedback to my questions and continue to help me feel welcome every time. Each is patient and kind. I actually head straight back to the Pharmacy with a quick look over the products on the way out. It is helpful that this store takes care in not over stocking with unnecessary choices. I always remembered it to be a friendly, family oriented place that I looked forward to going to with my mom. Well I recently moved back to town and things have taken a turn for the worst. Staff are rude, unhelpful, and have an extremely entitled attitude. There was ONE woman who was actually trying to be helpful, but the other staff (two younger girls) bashed her down and acted like she was dumb for asking questions and trying to help me. I tried SIX TIMES over the course of a week to get my prescription and they kept giving me the run around. By the 8th day of trying, I said forget it and I am going to Sebastopol now. (Which Sebastopol family pharmacy has been SO much better already) DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE HELPLESS PHARMACISTS. Save yourself the time, energy and headache, and just go somewhere else. Sad to see this place go so far down hill.
