I was there around 5pm. The cashier area seemed very understaffed and under stocked. The cashier seriously let some people cut ahead in line. Wow so rude to everyone there. There was was like six people in line all waiting and she just let people cut ahead, that is so disorderly of the employees to let that happen. The cashier with the Ana nametag was there she seems too doating it's kinda off putting. To improve i think some of the employees need to watch more training videos. Worst pharmacy experience of my life. Couldn't find my prescription after having it sent in three different times by my provider. Spent 20 mins on hold earlier in the day, had my provider send it in again, provider called and left a voicemail, and then I came in and waited 45 mins to talk to someone. They still couldn't find it and told me "try a different pharmacy". I asked to speak to the manager and magically it was found, before telling me the prescription was out of stock. The service at Walgreens pharmacy on Marlow and Piner gets worse every day. Two perscriptions that were up for refill were out of stock and they indicated they would have it in a day or two. Now 3 days later they still do not have it in stock and they would order and they may have it in a day or two, what? They didnt order it three days ago? Oh yea, I was on the phone for 30 minutes before the line was disconnected and another 40 minutes before a luve person answered the phone. The peopke are nice hut the service sucks. read more

As both a patient in severe pain and a nurse who understands healthcare procedures, I was deeply disappointed by the lack of compassion and problem-solving at Walgreens Pharmacy. After recent shoulder injury, I was prescribed Percocet by an ER provider because the Norco I had previously picked up wasn't managing my pain. When I called Walgreens to confirm my prescription was ready, I was told they wouldn't fill it unless my primary care provider approved it-even after I explained it was prescribed by the ER. They told me the ER needed to call them to "ok" the medication. When I went back to the ER, I was told the opposite- they the pharmacy should be the one to call the ER for verification. I explained that I was unaware of the hospital and pharmacy policies here in Santa Rosa since I recently moved from Los Angeles, and I was just trying to follow the right steps to manage my pain. I finally spoke with the Walgreens pharmacist, who firmly refused to fill it, repeating that he needed approval from my PCP since he didn't prescribe the medication. Meanwhile, I was crying, in unbearable pain, and feeling completely helpless. The ER pharmacist even tried to explain to Walgreens that this was a valid prescription for acute pain and that my first medication was ineffective--but Walgreens still refused. This lack of cooperation forced me to return to the ER again and miss another day of work. Even the ER physician was frustrated and told me to switch pharmacies because Walgreens was being uncooperative. The next day, I received an email from Angelic Stinson, the store manager, stating they she had reviewed Walgreens "Good Faith Dispense Policy" with staff and thanked me for my feedback, encouraging me to call if I wanted to further discuss the matter. I truly thought she was being sincere--that she would show empathy, listen to my point of view, and to find a better solution so this type of situation wouldn't happen again. I didn't want to come across as someone who was just complaining, I wanted to advocate for better patient care. However, when I called her, she coldly stated that the pharmacist "did the right thing" and even questioned why the ER discharged me if my pain was that severe. As a nurse, I was shocked to hear a manager say that to a patient in pain. There was no empathy, no accountability, and no effort to understand or help resolve the issue. Sometimes empathy is as simple as listening and showing care -- and that's exactly what was missing here. Walgreens, please train your pharmacist and managers in empathy and communication. Your policies are important, but so is the human being behind every prescription. No one should have to suffer the way I did because of poor coordination and lack of compassion. I would give this place negative stars if I could. They take FOREVER to fill a prescription and they are often out of common medications. Trying to get someone, anyone, on the phone is always at least a 15-20 minute wait. Last week I finally got through to someone who PROMISED me my 4 prescriptions would be ready by THAT afternoon. Knowing how they run behind, I gave them 2 whole extra days. When I showed up, ONLY 2 of the 4 had been filled!! I was told that "we just haven't gotten around to it yet". What the what????? I finally called the store manager, Angelique Stinson, who was NO HELP AT ALL and very unsympathetic to their customer's problems with them taking so long to fill Rx's. This is simply the WORST customer service I've ever encountered and I will most definitely be switching pharmacies. How on earth do they expect customers to put up with such awful customer service??? I am attempting to find someone at Corporate levels to complain to. This issue has been going on long before Rite-Aide closed. There can simply be NO excuse!! read more

When asking for help with a medication the guy Rj indicates the person is not available to help with information on the medication. This guy acts like he does not want to be bothered. Looks like he had a late night. I took my business to the Safeway down the street. They don't act like they hate their job. Safeway is kind and professional. I am shocked this pharmacy is still in business. It is impossible to get prescriptions actually filled here! When you call in for a refill the automated voice tells you when it will be ready for pickup but it never is! The staff says you need to call to check but you can NEVER get through there are so many people on hold waiting. So you have to go there, wait forever, only to be told they have been unable to fill your refill as they are too busy! Don't know if I've ever had such incredibly bad customer service. I believe it's due to staff shortage as the people working in the pharmacy are polite and work like dogs but it seems it's impossible for them to get ahead of all the overdue orders they have. Do you like long lines and waiting forever for your meds than I recommend this place. I have seen staff chatting around with a line backs up. The pharmacy is hard to get ahold of anybody and when you do they usually can't get you your meds on time. A lot of times the meds are have to be ordered. read more

Went to their photo counter to drop off 2 disposable film cameras. Called a few weeks later since I never got a call back and they said they didn't have anything on file for me. I had the receipts they give you when you drop something off. They lost my birthday film and then erased my information from their computer. Decided to give them another shot as they are so close to me.I have come to the conclusion that this is a great place to go if you have medical insurance,but would like to pay the full amount anyway.I was told my insurance company would only partially cover cost,was shot down when inquired further to get more information to contact my insurance company as to the information they had on file.After having the perscription transferred to another pharmacy(not walgreens) it was filled and I was not charged,they also had no problem speaking with me about my insurance information.Keep saying I wont go back there bit at least when i do its always entertaining,this place is beyond a joke read more

The experience I had today was laughably bad. I have been going to this pharmacy for over 6 years, regularly, for medication that I take everyday and pick up once a month. The first several years were good. Was there often a wait? Yes, but the staff were generally friendly and knowledgeable, at least in the pharmacy. They treated you with dignity. I have only seen one of the "originals" from when I first started going in the past few months aside from the pharmacist. Interactions have become less friendly and less predictable. Over the last several months, they have had the option to pre-pay for your medication once it is filled. You are then able to present a bar code for them to scan and you can pick up your medication without waiting in line. On one instance, a staff member in the pharmacy told me I need to wait in line despite explaining (and having done so multiple times before). I wait for about 2-3 minutes before going to the front because this defeats the purpose of pre-paying. The other pharmacy staff apologizes and gives my prescription. On multiple occasions, I also just have to deal with other customers staring into the back of my head because it is not clear to them that what I am doing is a valid option that I am exercising my right to use as it is offered by the store itself. They need to make a separate line or a different procedure so that it does not look like I am "cutting in line" like a self-entitled asshole. It makes it very awkward, and it is not my job to explain myself to customers, let alone staff who should be properly trained. Today, I go to pick up my prescription that I got a text saying it is ready and I prepaid. I even have a barcode to show them. I walk to the front of the line, which is awkward enough with everyone behind me. The girl in the pharmacy helping a customer looks at me and makes no acknowledgement, does not ask what I need, doesn't even say that there is a line. She eventually walks away with no acknowledgement whatsoever. The PHARMACIST then proceeds to do the same thing: the person helping pharmacy drive-thru leaves and instead of helping me, she walks right past me to help drive-thru, while also NOT ACKNOWLEDGING ME or asking what I need. She finishes, and then begins to walk right past me AGAIN. I abruptly ask if I can pick up my prescription, as I prepaid and was standing there at least 3 minutes with absolutely no acknowledgement. She tells me that there is a line, and I tell her I PREPAID, with my barcode displaying on my phone. She tells me there is only one register - she could easily use the drive-thru computer if she needed to scan anything. She reluctantly asks my name, looks me up, barely looks and tells me that it was beyond 10 days and the medication was put back. The original rx was beyond 10 days, the new one was only sent in 2 days ago and I got a text saying it is ready. She then proceeds to tell me they need to order it and it will be until Friday or Monday. I then get a text later saying it will be ready Tuesday. They have had a full 2 days to order the medication and are just now doing so. I only have 2 more pills of the current one and they put that refill back. I am not also going to pay for a full refill of a medication I am only refilling because of their ineptitude. I never got an apology, a hello, anything. Completely rude. There are a FEW saving graces of pharmacy workers there. Either your policies have changed or your staff is not trained on the store's own options and procedures. 2 stars for the fact that it WAS a good pharmacy and for the FEW techs that actually still care. The pharmacy is an extension of medical care, and you really need to take that into consideration when talking with your customers and treating them with care. read more

I stopped using this pharmacy long ago when I discovered Tuttles on Sonoma Ave. After a weekend trip to urgent care I needed a Rx filled. Tried to call to make sure Rx was there. No answer. Drove over while on hold up until I got to the window only to be told come back tomorrow we close in 45 minutes. After explaining that I wouldn't be at the window ( or in so many words )wasting my time for 30 minutes if they had answered the phone and I'm not leaving without medication. Pharmacist comes out and says well, we didn't get the Rx. I call urgent care. Not only do the have confirmation of receipt, the pharmacy called them to clarify dispensing instructions. So now I tell her that's absolutely not true and low and behold she finds the order. Unbelievable. Was I just lied to? I then go inside and watch everyone in the drive thru be told to come back and that they don't refill Rxs unless you contact them to do so. Big problem if they don't answer the phone ya think? I feel sorry for the folks working there because it is a very hard job at best BUT corporate office needs to get their mess cleaned up before someone is adversely affected and not just inconvenienced. This is a problem at a lot of pharmacies and we should be worried. read more

The management and staff do not care that people are blatantly stealing. I've seen multiple people putting items in their pockets, and then just walk out. I've told the staff and the manager was right there and didn't do a thing. I had to explain to my 6 year old that it's not ok to take things that you haven't paid for, even if you see other people doing it. I can appreciate this location , the staff is helpful , although they were under staffed which is one reason why i can appreciate . I can see that when there are only a few people , sometimes only 2 working , that it is a challenging position to not only serve people but keep the place tidy and shelves stocked . I had some photos printed out and i feel like i was over charged for some duplicates that i didn't ask for but the photo copy wasn't working and they took time to fix it and were persistent on doing so .. The store was rather messy but that was because customers can be so careless and oblivious to the merch they look through which does make it hard for any employee to keep up with . I appreciate the fact that we have a Walgreens that stays open later than most . More often than not they have what i need and the staff aims to please . read more

A week ago, i spoke with a pharmacy tech who said my prescriptions were ready, so I drove the 3 hours round trip (and waited 45 minutes in the drive thru) to find that they didn't even have any in stock of one of my medications. Zero pills. And today again, drove the 3 hours round trip (and waited another 45 minutes in line) only to be told they had only filled 30 days instead of the whole 90 day prescription. To get the entire prescription, I had to wait ANOTHER HOUR!! If you have the time to waste, definitely go here. read more

Our pharmacy experience: we made appointments online to get a couple vaccines (not covid). My appt was for 2 and my partner at 2:30. The website said show up 10 minutes early for paperwork and such. We showed up at 1:50 to discover they were on lunch till 2:10. I get it, you absolutely should take your breaks and lunch. Especially with everywhere being short staffed. But they didn't come back till 2:25... there was a huge line forming and no one really knew what was going on. I go up to the counter when it was my turn, let them know we have appts and they told us they didn't have time for us... um, excuse me? We've been waiting patiently, we requested appointments online and now we're being turned away?! They told us to come back the next day when it was slower. I went back on my lunch and it was even busier so I left again. Finally, my partner went in and was seen so I followed. The pharmacist was really nice but wow. I still couldn't believe we were told there was no time for us. So many people were getting turned away for various reasons during all our visits. It was really sad. Saturday, July 16th, I was literally on hold from 1130 through their lunch break to 430 and no one answered the phone in the pharmacy. I was told there were three people ahead of me and then two people ahead of me than one person ahead of me and then I aaa disconnected. I called back and the whole situation was repeated.that was before lunch and ccording to the recording I was supposed to be at least in the top two phone calls to be answered. I never got to spoke to anybody in the pharmacy that day. This happened to me a couple weeks ago when I needed refills on my medication's. I finally got a hold of someone at that time and got my prescriptions filled all five of them but now it's happening again and I'm transferring my prescriptions at this time. read more

I really gave these people 2 Stars last time? They have not gotten any better and it's probably time to find a new pharmacy. A couple days ago when I went to pick up a prescription for my daughter and myself. For some reason I received four bags of pills and had to show my ID. Not knowing what my daughters prescription was for, I didn't think much of it. Honestly, I was trying to drone out all the others who were complaining about getting their orders filled way too early. When I grabbed the bags to leave, I noticed the pills, intended for me, were for someone else. Seriously, this happens to me all the time here. When they finally found my bag, I was shorted one prescription (of course I noticed this once I got home). I went online to see if it was filled and noticed they were waiting doctors approval to get refilled. I then noticed, when I looked at emails from my doctors office, they had sent them two faxes to get this taken care of over the past two weeks. So today, I went back to pick up my missing prescription. They still claimed they needed doctors approval. I told them they had received approval and I had the proof on my phone in the form of an email from the office. I was informed this wasn't good enough and I needed to call my doctors office to get them to fax another order. Sigh. So I call my doctors office and they also notice they have submitted this information to Walgreens twice already. I told them I knew that, but they have claimed not to receive the orders. I'm done w/ them. They need more staff, one person cannot run the busy counter and drive thru efficiently. They're so busy, mistakes happen all the time. I'm one person and I have issues about half the times I show up for a pick up. I wonder how many other problems occur on a regular basis. read more
