I was looking at places to pick up something for dinner on my way from work to home and saw this place. It is located in a strip mall I'm familiar with but have not been to this place. I came in my first visit, was promptly greeted and order taken. The hummus and pita were ready in minutes. The second time, it took forever to get the falafel sandwich. The guy who cooked the order had to come around and give me the order because everyone else was just talking and not paying attention. He was kind of cute. Anywho. Reasonable prices. You place your order and pay at the counter and wait for your food. The food really is amazing.

This was a cute spot but it very much gives cafeteria/Piccadilly vibes. You order at the counter and seat yourself and pick up behind yourself. We started off with the lamb hummus which didn't have much hummus in the bowl and was tasty but extremely greasy. The entrees were good and i did enjoy the feta in the sweet potato. Very simple menu, I'd probably be back for a quick bite!

Safta's Table was decent Mediterranean spot with a nice atmosphere, but it wasn't memorable enough for us to return. The fries with harissa aioli were our favorite item, although the portion was very small for $7. The bacon egg & cheese pita sandwich was our least favorite--pretty basic and lacked flavor. The Turkish-style eggs and breakfast hummus were better, but still pretty average and not particularly unique. Overall, we'd rate the food 4/5, but we felt the restaurant was overpriced for the amount of food we received. The retro-modern decor is cute though, and there's plenty of indoor seating.

Clean, bright wide open space. Nice selection of coffee and drinks. Liked the halva latte. Overall very good, only complaint is that the pita was not warm or as fresh as we've had at Saba but I guess that's in line with the unique "cafeteria" grab and go concept. Easy dine in, self serve experience. Would definitely visit again in the area.

Super great brunch and lunch spot that just opened up. They're still working out some kinks on the service side but it's definitely worth the visit for a fast casual version of their Saba restaurant. They also have a solid non brunch menu that looks delicious too!

If you're expecting reasonable portions for the price you pay, I'd recommend not dining here. I had high hopes, so I'm really upset by this experience. We got 2 orders of the lamb and the hummus appetizer totaling $62 before tip. The hummus came with 1 piece of pita and both of the lamb plates came out a little colder than room temperature. The tomato and cucumber salad side was comparable to a generous side of pico de gallo at a Mexican restaurant. I would expect a little more lamb and more generous side size for the price, I would definitely expect warm bread and meat at the very least. Making the trip uptown to Shaya is worth it compared to Safta's in my opinion

I highly recommend a visit to Safta's table! We went on a quiet Wednesday afternoon. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The staff are so friendly, nice and accommodating. They gave us wonderful recommendations and were so helpful. We loved everything. The hummus is to die for. The schnitzel sandwich was huge. The garlic pita was delicious. Hope you get to enjoy this lovely new restaurant in Lakeview!!

This place has been so good for so long. Never had a bad meal here…read more We had some friends in town and we were hanging out uptown. Got some reservations to grab lunch and fuel some more shopping. All the hummus is good, but we started with my favorite the fried chicken hummus. Got a few other small bites. The star of the show was the chicken schnitzel sandwich. If you talk about the chicken sandwich wars this one wins it all. It's so crispy, crunchy, and full of flavor. First time I've tried this and I'm going to have a problem ordering anything else from now on. Service was great and my friend introduced our server to the term fridge cigarette for a Diet Coke, which was funny.

Was seated at the bar until a table was available. Second time I came for a private event. Very nice exclusive upstairs private event space and bar, I loved the interior. I had delicious pomegranate lemonade mocktail. I loved the fried chicken hummus, Mediterranean cucumber salad, Brussels chicken, steak the most. Everything was amazing and flavorful, I don't think you can go wrong. The cinnamon date dessert just tasted like bread XD but overall I would totally come back! I think I prefer the sister restaurant though Parking: limited parking lot, limited street parking

All the reliable Middle Eastern foods. Their hummus is THE BEST. Nice and creamy and lemony. Served with their pita which is baked in their bakery. Prices reasonable. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian choices. Meat is halal. Next door is a Middle Eastern grocery where you can buy the pita. Our church uses their bread for communion! Comes with salad, chicken, and hummus with your choice of white or wheat pita. It's always really good. Tried the four cheese pizza for the first time because I was starving. It was really good. Only thing that would make it better is if it had something to dip it in. Usually get it to go and it's been a while since I've sat down and ate. I feel like the sit down portions are much larger which is nice. They just did a huge renovation and it looks great. Our server was great, the food came out really fast, and we enjoyed it.
