100% delish! Service was awesome; environment was inviting, presentation and taste of food was perfection. We ordered Tikka Chicken plate, Shawarma plate and medium pizza for our family. The pizza and meat was cooked in a kiln style oven. Pizza came out looking fantastic. The crust was to die for; and hit the spot as we were hangry! Plenty of cheesy goodness. Just as we finished a few bites came our plates which LOOKED superb! The rice was served in a perfect mound with the olive atop & a generous amount of salad made the plate full of color. Meat had great flavor, was juicy and perfect. The "house dressing" which was an oil blend and balsamic if I guessed was delightful to the tastebuds. I needed a fresh salad after all the heavy foods I've devoured throughout my NOLA trip. The environment was nice; quiet middle eastern instrumental music in the background and cool open windows. The decor was appealing and made me curious of the culture. Our server was kind. He smiled, offered suggestions as we requested. He asked how we enjoyed the food and gave us boxes to take all our leftovers with us. (Did I say the servings were extra generous?! They were!) He gave us space during our meal, but also was readily available when we needed. I'd definitely return and highly recommend you try it. Came in around 9pm and was looking for a quick dinner. We ordered hummus, 2 dishes and 2 drinks. The restaurant is pretty spacious and unique. The hummus me and my friend really liked it. Food and flavor was delicious. The the server was very understanding and made sure everything was great along with the chef. The ambiance is very nice and along with the open kitchen. That was a nice touch. I ordered the lamb shish kabob medium. Well it actually came out well done. My server Raven once I mention it into her She took the plate and brought it to the chef to let him know. Not only did he redo the entire plate to medium. Well he added on a couple of lamb chunks. Came back and apologized which I let him know that the flavor was good. I just wanted it medium well so I could reheat it later on. Now the new plate was delicious as well. If you need a change from Cajan and Creole food and you love Mediterranean food then this is the place for you. This is a nice sit down restaurant right off the French Market. The only negative is due to the door was open I found it a little too chilly on the cold December night. Service was ok. I didn't feel like they came to check on us enough as they were really busy. I wanted some more sauce but wasn't able to get any. The chicken shawarma was ok. It came with some good fries. Not enough flavor and the sauce I was given was bland. I would have liked some of the sauce that went on the plate. My husband got the Beef Shawarma plate. It was a lot of food. He couldn't finish it. The food was only ok, so I probably wouldn't go back, but it's a good change of pace from most restaurants so you may like the change. read more

We went at a very good time. It was a good time of day, and a good time of year. The city wasn't busy. We like this type of food, and the restaurant was close, so we gave it a try. I know of at least three other, similar restaurants in the area, and this place was as good as any of them. Some of their recipes were very familiar, and some were a little different than we were accustomed to, but everything tasted fine to me, and there were no complaints from any of our group. It is important to note that this restaurant serves alcoholic beverages, and they also have hookahs. My only complaint about this place is that there seemed to be a lot of fruit flies buzzing around, and that made me wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen. The food, based on what I tried, is delicious. I had a falafel sandwich to go. (Ate it in Santos, hence why it's bright red.) It was delicious, though I'm not sure I'd call it a sandwich since it was wrapped in a grilled tortilla. Crisp falafel, thick fresh slabs of tomato, vinaigrette, and creamy tahini. When you go to New Orleans, you don't really think about Middle Eastern food, but this restaurant was so delicious that we went back twice. We really enjoyed their garlic sauce, hummus, Taziki sauce. It's all very very good. The salad was exceptional. How many times have you ever complimented a salad? It's right across from the market, making it very convenient to shop and then find a place to sit and relax in a beautiful ambience. The wait staff was very friendly. We talked about their food culture, and something we already knew and some things we discovered. Great family-owned and operated restaurant in NOLA! Some friends and I visited NOLA in August for a friend's birthday...I know what you're thinking...why would you go there in August?! Anyway, a few people in the group went here one day and came back to our Air BnB raving about this place. So much so that we all decided to go there to eat the following day. Our Uber dropped us off in the back of the restaurant and we were instructed to seat ourselves. The staff remembered my friends from the day before and we were quickly greeted and our drink orders were taken. There were only a couple of other patrons in the restaurant. It's fairly small, but that's what makes it special. It's not unlike many of the other restaurants throughout the streets of New Orleans. I was unfortunately recovering from food poisoning so I did order a cocktail and decided to stick with a salad. I ordered the chicken salad and my friends ordered a variety of other dishes, included the Beef Shwarma pizza. Everything was so good! Since I was still recovering I wasn't able to eat much, but what I did eat was flavorful and delicious! We didn't order cocktails or hookah, but their menu looks great.
