Additionally, there is a small snack area accessible throughout the day. The Inn itself exudes the charm of a bygone era and is well-maintained. The owners, Dan and Alane, are gracious and warm, lovely and kind. As NYC transplants who have an appreciation for locals and visitors, they are informed about all things North Fork. They are wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcomed! The rates are competitive, but the stay is even more worthwhile than we had initially imagined. The Guest House is the epitome of a comfortable country home -- a beautiful dream, to say the least. I ran my hands along the different textural walls and refinished drawer chests. With modern yet rustic aesthetics, the house is bright and breezy and clean. Our queen-size bed is a cloud! Despite that at 3pm I texted their service about it and they wrote IN TEXT how they lowered it, they claim they don't regulate it. How ever all night long, I couldn't get the temperature below 70 degrees. At 5:30 am I texted the service. 15 minutes later they text me stating they lowered it to 62. I didn't read that message until 7:30 am. They completely deny regulating the temperature. We have a big argument about it, BECAUSE THEY'RE LYING. The owner Adriana, I think her name it, shows up to my room to state how the room temp was 68. YES AT 7:30 AM AFTER YOU ADJUSTED IT DUE TO MY TEXT COMPLAINT. DUH. She doesn't like that I pointed that out to her, and she wants to stomp her feet that I am being rude and she will not tolerate me being disrespectful to her, well I feel the same way liar. She will not leave MY ROOM, as I had already started to pack to leave and canceled the rest of the week which they agreed to refund me for. She is so stubborn that she held her one foot in the doorway so I could not close the door until she had her say in the matter. She thinks she owns the property and therefore doesn't have to leave MY ROOM. It's mine until 10 am, unless I am committing a crime. I literally had to close the door on her to get her out. I have all the proof in the world on text messages that they control the AC. I hope she saved $10 and appreciates my horrible experience and living with this review.

Although she gave an apology during check out, it did not mitigate the inconvenience and stress caused by the lack of communication and preparedness. I had arranged for a friend to stay with me, but due to the uncomfortable experience, she chose to stay elsewhere that night. This experience reflects a significant lapse in service standards. Professionalism, clear communication, and respect are fundamental expectations for any guest, and these were not met. As a result, I would not consider returning.

The living room couch is old and uncomfortable, the WiFi isn't great, the ice bucket had bugs in it, but the kitchen was clean enough. The bedroom only has 1 side table, the bed was super bouncy and high off the floor, pillows were horrible, the bathroom has no sink space and no electrical outlet or fan. I had to sit on the floor in the bedroom to blow dry my hair. At least they had a hairdryer. The ironing board was so old we could hardly use it without damaging our clothes. The AC works ok - it's pretty cool in the living room but the vent in the bedroom is small and doesn't cool well. Needless to say, we won't be back.
