We were across the street from beach access which was lovely, and the hotel had beach chairs and umbrellas available to borrow. This was a life-saver because we forgot our umbrella at home! We wanted a place where we can also cook as we brought in some fresh tuna from a fishing tournament so the kitchenette was a great addition. Also, the little outdoor area is perfect for hanging out and gives you your own little privacy. This stay in only 10 minutes from the Montauk Main Street. It's tucked away and right on the beach! Nice, quiet and cozy. Overall, we are very happy with this choice and recommend it to anyone looking for a stay in Montauk!

The room was a little small but not by much, it was a very nice room. The linens were clean, overall the whole room was clean and I loved the nautical decor. The bathroom was nice, 1 sink and a nice walk in shower that I really liked. We really enjoyed the courtyard area outside because it had Adirondack chairs surrounded by little fire pits that they lit up at night. We didn't go in the pool because it was only 60° but in the sun it was still nice. Anyone who's looking for a great motel in town here, go to Daunt's!! You won't be disappointed! I must mention that we often, but not always, have a little "get away" in mid-October as its our wedding anniversary and my birthday month. Well, when I called to make the reservation, I was told that the place had been converted to condos, and each owner was responsible for the condition of the room. It's a very expensive place, so how bad could it be? The joke was on us. Everything, except the thrift shop 1960's style TV was broken. Even some of the light didn't work, the management wouldn't even consider replacing lightbulbs. We bought food for our room and couldn't cook it, even the microwave was broken. There was absolutely NO patio furniture. When I called the front desk, I was told it was up to the owner. It looked to me like the room next door had "borrowed" all the furniture as they had a huge set up on the patio, and the furniture looked like the patio furniture we were used to from past visits. We had to take kitchen chairs outside. I have never ever had an experience like this, and we are world travelers. I have stayed in third world countries with better amenities and more gracious service than this place. A few years ago, we returned to Montauk and stayed in a different beachfront hotel, same situation, condos owned by various investors, and had a beautiful room. Whenever we stay there, we always request the same room. It's beautifully decorated and exquisitely clean. Montauk manor is a disgrace.

It's was a lovely location and a beautiful restaurant to return to. I have lived here for over twenty-five years now. My guests were so impressed by the respectful, well chosen, and stunning renovation. But, please allow me to mention some problems, as well as the previous compliments, that happened during our lunch. I believe feedback is important and can be productive. So for that purpose I send you these observations. - After we were seated and given menus - we waited at least 5 minutes before a waiter came to the table. - We were a party of four and, when two servers (not our waiter) put down our main courses - only two people in our party were served. We waited - thinking the other two orders would come out soon but, they didn't! Finally, we waved to our waiter who was not aware of the problem and, the entrees came out shortly after. - It's worth noting that none of the entrees served were presented in the 6 o'clock position where the plate is strategically placed in front of the diner. - Also, the wait staff never refilled our water glasses or asked if we would like another drink. Frankly, this is not the level of service I expected. And, if you would please pass my comments on to the proper person in the restaurant- I would appreciate that. I stayed at the Hedges Inn during the early spring for a bachelorette. We loved the accommodating staff members whom checked in with us frequently. The Inn is a brisk walk away from the relaxing beach. Staff provide you with passes. We had access to bikes for an enjoyable ride along the cobblestone and windmills. The room service was excellent and my bed was extra comfortable. My friends and I loved that breakfast was offered as a part of our stay. We couldn't locate many East Hampton locations which included this. The breakfast here was self-serve and delicious! Hands down I will visit The Hedges Inn next time I'm in the area. Thank you for making my stay super relaxing and memorable!

Breakfast included specialty coffee, fresh bagels, yogurt with granola, and juice. A perfect escape from the city! I'd highly recommend to anyone:)
