I was referred to the Sage Dental office in Johns Creek by their Tucker location for a root canal, but the experience felt like price gouging. They quoted me $2,100 for the root canal plus an additional $700 just to "open the tooth." When I asked Marcel, the office manager, if a root canal could be done without that extra charge, I didn't get a clear answer. It became obvious they were trying to charge me $2,800 for a root canal on tooth #30. I decided to shop around and was referred to a true professional on Satellite Boulevard who completed the same procedure for $1,350. I'm very pleased with that experience. I'm scheduled to have additional work done at the Tucker location, so we'll see how that goes. I'll keep you posted. read more

I don't like to leave reviews and I don't feel like anybody was rude here or unfriendly. I just feel that the service was rushed. It was uncomfortable. Nothing felt warm friendly when I got to the actual service, especially that it had to do with a bad cavity and drilling, it just was already not a fun experience and they didn't give me time to actually get any of the nitrous oxide before getting stuck with a needle. there was also a very big lack of communication it was already a red flag! .. when it was really hard to get a hold of them. There was always an answering service telling me that this location would call back and they never call back,but because of the lower price is the reason I went there. They said I can pay a yearly fee to get a discount that sounds made up. Hence they said yearly fee and then after that procedure, they said I'd have to pay that yearly fee again, like what? it really hard to trust dental offices already!I didn't understand why they didn't finish the procedure and sent me elsewhere. Terrible care, absolutely the worst! The care here resulted in an infection, extreme pain, and many other expensive fixes to solve the problem. The front office staff was nice but the office would be randomly closed due to lack of a dentist. This office needs to be shut down! I needed a visit for an emergent issue and a new dentist after being quoted a crazy amount of money for a root canal by someone else. Not only did Sage deliver on my root canal and crown within a budget I expected (and supported by my dental plan) - they are also super friendly. I decided to do my crown and other services there and they got me in within a day or two. Go here- painless service and really friendly staff. Bonus that it's next door to Smoothie Cafe! Easy parking. Good covid protocol- check in & wait in the car to be called... easy way of doing business during that time. I went to Sage Dental for a capped tooth that fell out . They asked me if I wanted Panoramic X-rays and cancer X-rays I declined. Come to find out they billed me 348.00 . They wanted to pull my teeth and send me to a surgeon. And that would also be more money which I could not afford .Did not even try to fix tooth they are very crooked. I came to this office after calling the other Sage Dental leaving messages with no response. I called corporate and they connected me with this branch. I have an abscess and I was trying to get some teeth removed. I turned in all paperwork before my appointment. When I got there I have to give them my insurance card again. After an hour I was told that I couldn't be seen today because the system did recognize my insurance information. I missed work and my mouth is still hurting. Be suspicious of positive Google reviews!!! Check out their Yelp rating. Saw this dentist back in July-- they said they did four fillings and charged me $400 after insurance. Went to another dentist to get my wisdom teeth removed and i'm told I need fillings on teeth that are supposed to have been done here. Xray and Dr both confirmed that the work was incomplete. I tried calling the office to talk to the physician about what we can do about this (before I submit a bad review and dispute the charge), and the receptionist refused to let me speak to the physician and was completely disrespectful. I have tried working with them, but they are sketchy. Almost two months ago this work was "done" and they still haven't filed it with insurance. I went here, being new to Georgia, because my insurance would be accepted. It was awful. The office staff lost my paperwork for a reimbursement from my insurance twice, and passed the buck, blaming a young woman who wasn't there anymore. When I returned with a broken tooth and for a free checkup and simple cleaning, it was worse. They went against my wishes and did some special cleaning and charged me about $300! My insurance has a $0 copay. I was also made to sign a 'treatment plan' that would cost me about $1800, I think. I didn't have it, and my insurance company said the most expensive crowns and things should be a mere $300 copayment. They say I have a great plan and should expect to pay very little. They sent me a copy of my copays in their official booklet, telling me how to file a grievance, or to dispute this stuff. I had great dentists on the West Coast, with never a problem or up sell. This place is dishonest or manipulative. My insurance company warned me that the current pandemic has threatened some practices financially, so watch out for the attempts to squeeze money out of poor patients. I'm desperate to find a reliable dentist that takes my insurance. Note that I have no comment on the quality of the work. They never did much. I had to wait an extra week for the hygienist to return, then sat for an exam when she was supposed to clean my teeth. Eventually, though I met the hygienist, they told me she couldn't clean my teeth and that I would have to make another appointment. I don't want to take time off for their lack of reliability. Hi fellow citizens, I want to start by saying Im a veteran and an unemployed father of three. I had a cracked tooth and it was throbbing to the point that my ears were pulsating. The amount of pain was beyond bearable. I searched for the closest dentist to me, and Sage was it. Upon my arrival, the receptionist gave me a pamphlet with the insurance that they offer, along with the "discounted" prices. I told her I am not able to afford that at this time. She told me to have a seat and that they will see me shortly. And so they did. After two x-rays, one was from a machine the takes a 360 of your mouth, which was broken (at least since yesterday, according to the other assistant). It only took a partial x-ray. The other was a manual one, where you had to clamp down on a fixture to hold in place. That was painful to do. So after the x-rays, the doctor came in and examined the area in question. She then leaves the room. Only to have another assistant come and retrieve me. They brought me up to the front desk and handed me two prescriptions (ibuprofen and antibiotics). I was so taken aback. I said "So she won't see me?" The front end person in charge (presumably the manager) who handed me my prescriptions tells me that the doctor saw you and treated you. At the same time, my tooth flared up on me from the anxiety that I realized I wasn't getting relief. I said to the manager, you can't be serious. I am in excruciating pain. She tells me that they fulfilled their obligation and to leave. I leave, but only out the front door. Where I begin crying. Like in major pain and nowhere to turn crying. Not to mention it was raining, windy, and 40 degrees out. I opened up my phone to google and find if a dentist can refuse a patient. This is what google said. "In general, any dental problem that needs immediate treatment to stop bleeding, alleviate severe pain, or save a tooth is considered an emergency. This consideration also applies to severe infections that can be life-threatening." After reading this, I go back into the facility. I go to the counter and ask why I am being turned away for an emergency. I recite what google states. The manager states, that she knows the law, and that they treated me. She says that the dentist will not work without being paid. She then says to another worker who is on the phone, "Do you have the police on the line?" The worker says yes and they are sending officers now. The manager then says that if I don't leave, they'll press charges for trespassing. So I leave. This is not worth it. As I make my way to the car, two police vehicles roll up on me. Ask me if I am the person they were called for. I say yes and that I am leaving. And I left. The receptionist and the first dental assistant were A+. That is why I am awarding a "1 Star". read more

Horrible communication from front-office. On one hand, they confirm appointment through SMS but when you go there they said they canceled the appointment without any warning or notice. I am writing this review to warn any potential patients of what is a POORLY managed MEDICAL/DENTAL practice. I moved here about two years ago and was in search of a practice that accepted my insurance and would also provide quality care. During my first visit, which was mainly for a cleaning, I waited 40+ minutes to be seen. After which, I was told I'd receive a care plan that I never received. After which, I saw my previous dentist. I then encountered an emergency - this location said they offered emergent care on Sunday, I never received a call back. I then proceeded to see them on a Monday for emergency care where the dentist was VERY ABRASIVE and RUDE, to which I took pause and caution but ended up needing to proceed due to the nature of my emergency. After what was a dental surgery, I was told my bridge (which btw is not the recommended course of action by any professional dentist) would be ready in 10 days. They proceeded with taking an impression, which wasn't a correct course due to inflammation. We called every few weeks and were reassured the bridge would arrive within the next week or two and that it was delayed due to "Special order". The bridge arrived 2 months later and I was told that ONLY the doctor that performed the procedure could put it in. The doctor was also OOO and wasn't ever available to do the procedure. I pre-paid $2,000 for this, only to learn the dentist is NO LONGER with SAGE and furthermore the dentist that is now there said that the procedure was SO POORLY done, my gums still haven't healed (FROM APRIL-AUGUST). I now have to wait again and am out $2,000. PLEASE BE CAUTIONED AND NEVER VISIT THIS LOCATION OR PRACTICE. read more

I just want to be able to reach someone who can simply answer my questions and make an appointment. Instead, Sage puts me on long holds and transfers every time except when the person who picks up doesn't tell me I'll get a call back. Right now after such a hold, I was sent to voicemail. The patient coordinator Tanjia on Feb 7 got back to me hours later and seemed as though she could redeem my perception of Sage but then did not get back to me as promised. I had to reach out to her the next day. I've had to try TOO hard to make sure they received my xrays which they said they didn't ten days after saying they did. They didn't even spell my son's name right in the first appointment email. Right now, I tried a second time to see why I got an email with an appointment time different from the one I had made, and after the (second) woman finally pulled up my son's file, said they schedule kids only within a certain time -- school hours -- and so changed his appointment time! My husband has had the worst implant experience with this office. First, they drilled too far up his nasal cavity, causing major pain then the implants fell out over the weekend. We called the office nurse line and was told a Dr. would call within an hour. Surprise, surprise, surprise no one from Sage called back and it's now Monday. When I arrived 15 minutes early the incompetent behind the front desk said that I didn't have an appointment even though I had confirmation emails, as well as texts & filled out paperwork the previous day. She wouldn't even look at my confirmations the only help she was willing to do was reschedule me for the following week because she informed me they close at 4pm & no one wanted to honor my appointment. This is not the first time this has happened at the location but I make appointments there because it's the closest location to my house & work. This place has gone down hill. Started using them a few years ago and they are were very standard about their routine and check ups. Now, they just try to nickle and dime you to grow their profits. To some extend its ok since people need work done but now they just do a few things as part of a "routine 6 month check up and cleaning" without telling you their are extra charges for small things. They just did it and when I went to check out they said I had to pay before leaving for the extra things I had some done. Mind you, some of their "extra" things are actually part of other offices regular cleanings so I was caught very off guard. Sage Dental Johns creek is the worst and most unprofessional dentistry I have experienced. They tell you you have an appt then when you show up 6mths later they have no knowledge. Then for my child they try to switch times knowing they are in school but want me to take him out because is convincing for them. They don't open on Fridays, they tell you inconsistent things about your teeth for instance, stated there was a cavity only to find out from another dentist. There was never one. Also, they want to put fluoride on your teeth without you, knowing and charge you at the desk without your approval so many flaky, inconsistent, unprofessional things going on there that really needs to be looked at more in depth. I heard many other people complain one day I was there and this lady also complained she had an appointment and they stated to her that she never booked when she proof paperwork from them. Stay away do not use them as a provider and you should call corporate on them and Lane formal complaints. Also, the employees there do not seem properly trained. I know what that looks like because I work in highly professional environments and my cousin's wife is also a dentist. Also, watch them billing your insurance. They will tell you that you need fluoride or you have a cavity or even your teeth are shifting just to increase your bill major insurance scam. Also notice they have older technologies and like to gossip about clients when they leave. I knew 2 employee there that stated Dr. Foreman's practice is a joke and they don't seem to have a diverse staff if you ever go in. If I could give a "0" star I would. Also read their replies in YELP " we strive..." it's an automated REPLY. They are scammers. Out of 19 reviews 17 were 1 STAR with negative reviews. STAY AWAY FOR YOUR GOOD AND INSURANCE. Worst experience ever! Very rude! Please check newer reviews before taking an appointment. This clinic requires you to fill tons of online forms before your first visit. My regular primary doctor also never asked me this much info and you have to fill out names, spouse info, employer info, dental insurance, medical insurance (along with their addresses, phone numbers), insurance photos (not sure why they need to fill out addresses manually when they are anyways asking front and back of insurance cards which has all this info) etc on EVERY form. Before my appointment confirmation, they said they required my dental insurance I have provided my dental insurance information on call. They have sent me online forms to fill up, which I thought I can fill up when I show up for my appointment. I show up on time for my first appointment. The front desk lady was very rude and not at all polite. Immediately she accused me and made me feel guilty that I did not fill up my online forms and claims (2-3 times) that she is VERY ORGANIZED in her work so she sent them earlier. She repeated this dialog to her co-worker couple of times too. I told her I can fill up now. She asked me my dental insurance card for which I said I already provided that info on call to confirm my appointment. She says its a policy that she needs a physical card for confirmation which I don't have. I told her I don't have a printout but I can show the card online. She said then I can't manually fill up those forms and I have to do it online since I don't have a physical card. She also mentioned that it will take 30 mins to fill them and I said ok. At this point, I was ok to fill them online and I stood at the front desk for 20 mins filling out various forms etc. When I was almost done with them and the front desk lady turns to me and tells me Oh I have to re-schedule your appointment since its 30 mins. My question to her was, why didn't she mention earlier that she needs to reschedule my appointment before making me stand for 20 mins to fill my info standing right in front of her. Literally I was standing right before her struggling with my phone screen entering it, taking pictures of my cards etc. Why did she have to wait to tell me that she will reschedule my appointment when she already knows that it takes 30 mins to fill those (you can imagine how much info it is which takes up 30 mins of your time) and will have to reschedule. Also the reason for my visit was dental cleaning. They said they cant accommodate cleaning in my first visit as initial consultation is must. Which I learnt costs ($140 from other reviews). Thank goodness I saved myself from shedding $140 bucks for a useless visit and rude experience. I should have checked recent reviews before scheduling my appointment. Save your time and don't go here! Saw another dentist not associated with Sage and told I don't need mouth guard and nothing wrong with the tooth that Sage suggested needed a crown. I will not go back. The Johns Creek, GA location has a manager named Tatiana that I'm fairly certain rides a broomstick to work. She is the rudest, most unprofessional manager I've ever had the displeasure to encounter. They also bill you more than the insurance says they are allowed to. When you call about the bill she won't call you back. It took me 5 weeks to get this bill sorted and when I went there yesterday to speak to her about it she was sitting at the check out desk and told the receptionist I would need to make an appt. to speak to her. I pointed out that I was told yesterday that she would call me back and when she realized which bill I was she said she adjusted it to a zero balance when she got my message.
