I gave dr payne office info for my surgeon. when I went in to discuss cost and opportunity to have implant procedure, they took me for new ct scan and then went through explanation of what an implant is. I have had two previous so that was not necessary and a waste of time. They then wanted to schedule and I say I came for cost and I need to know that. To my shock they told me my visit was $475 and the implant would be $3100. My cost at home would have been $2000. I should not have been charged for visit. Total rip-off.

My dentist's office called and made the appointment. Initially, when I contacted the office to confirm the appointment, office staff insisted that I did not have an appointment, that they had never heard of me, and that I must be mistaken. They offered an appointment 5 days later than the original appointment date that I was scheduled for. I told them I would check my work schedule and call back. I did, only to be told that they had found my appointment, and merely misspelled my name. I showed up on the morning of my appointment and answered the now ubiquitous COVID-19 screening questions. I was routinely tested for COVID-19 for work on 5/15/2020 (negative oral swab, negative IGG). I was told that because I didn't have a written copy of those results that they would not see me. Not once was this mentioned prior to my appointment date. If it had been, I would have had the chance to obtain the necessary medical records (not that a 3 week old COVID test result has any meaning). So I guess I'll start my second week with a toothache as I try and find someone willing to pull it. Dr. Payne may be a fine gentlemen. I've never met him. The inflexible, bureaucratic attitude of his office leaves a great deal to be desired.

That was exactly how I felt walking into Park Family Dental. And for me, that's a BIG deal because I have pretty extreme dental anxiety from a childhood dental trauma. I originally went to Park Family Dental for a cleaning and a cosmetic consultation with Dr. Long, who I had researched extensively beforehand. The practice already had thousands of amazing reviews, but what really stood out to me was that Dr. Long is the only AACD Accredited cosmetic dentist in the area. That was especially important to me because I knew my case could be a little more complicated due to my childhood injury, and I really wanted someone with that level of training and expertise handling the cosmetic side of my treatment. My hygienist, Catalina, was so sweet and patient. She knew how nervous I was and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed the entire time. As it turned out, my case was definitely more complicated than I expected. What started as a cleaning and cosmetic consult uncovered a longstanding infection that I had absolutely no idea was there and ended up requiring some pretty extensive dental work. Being a medical professional myself, I was immediately impressed by the level of clinical expertise in this office. They were able to do a 3D CT scan right there, and I was able to consult with Dr. Macedo, who specializes in endodontic procedures. I ultimately needed multiple root canals as well as an apicoectomy with bone grafting. Dr. Macedo and her assistants, Miranda and Mary, were amazing. I honestly never knew it was possible to inject dental anesthetic without feeling a thing until Dr. Macedo did it! She and her team were incredibly gentle, patient and thorough and somehow made procedures that sounded absolutely terrifying to me go incredibly smoothly. Once all of that was taken care of, Dr. Long and his assistants Katia and David worked on the restorative and cosmetic part of my treatment, including the numerous crowns I needed. One of the things that really sets this office apart is that they have an on-site dental lab, which meant their ceramist, Lance, was able to be directly involved in creating my final smile. Lance is truly an artist. He and Dr. Long personally worked with me to make sure we got the shape, color and overall look exactly where I wanted it. I am honestly in awe of how my smile has been transformed. After everything that needed to be done, the final result is more than I could have hoped for. I won't go so far as to say I actually look forward to going to the dentist , but in just a few short weeks, the entire team at Park Family Dental managed to put fears I've had since childhood almost completely at ease. Considering they got me through root canals, an apicoectomy, bone grafting and extensive restorative and cosmetic dental work during that time, that is saying A LOT! I really can't say enough about this office. A patient from Germany…read more This Dentistry is excellent. Dr. Farrugia looked at the overall condition of my teeth and explained the options. My case was not easy. I came for the winter from Germany to sunny Naples with 4 new implants and needed the crowns. Though these implants as a brand are quite unknown in the U.S., Comfort Dental Implant Institute managed to get the right parts. Preparing for the crowns the implants had to be uncovered. Before surgery I took the prescribed pills, no pain during the procedure. Also the following hours and the next day there was no pain. I could feel the sutures but did not take a single pill. 4 weeks after that my crowns should be ready and at this point I will give an update.

I have given much thought to writing a review but I want to share with you the good and not so good…read moreexperiences I have had with Dr. Hernandez. First, Dr. Hernandez is a very talented dentist. He has a very friendly personality and he has surrounded himself with similar assistants in his practice. He uses all the state of the art equipment and techniques and has a very clean and modern office. He has done several procedures on my teeth and my wife's and in general I have been quite satisfied. However, the last two visits did not leave me with positive feelings. I went back for a follow-up appointment to have two implants he had done earlier checked on. They were healing fine but a little more time was needed before proceeding with putting crowns on. Being a snow bird I was scheduled to leave for Ct for the summer so I decided to have the crowns put on there. When that dentist took x-rays he informed me that the implants were not parallel, as they should be, and one was tilted toward the back of my mouth. He did say he could compensate for this but it should not have happened to begin with. Also, at the time of the follow-up appointment, Dr. Hernandez probed two other teeth (22 & 27) which had crowns. When he took the probe out of my mouth he showed me some white substance on the end of the pick which he said was puss. He said that was an indication of an infection. He said he would need to take the crown off of 27 to clean up the area and he advised he should do the same thing with 22 to make sure that did not happen with that tooth also. On the way out I made an appointment for three weeks later. As I drove home I thought why, if I had an infection, he did not prescribe an antibiotic or ask his assistant to set up a return appointment sooner. When I got to CT I had two other dentists look at tooth #27 only to be told, by both, that there was no sign of an infection. Dr. Hernandez was not honest about this situation. I have found, over time, there are two types of dentists. Conservative and aggressive. Dr. Hernandez fits the latter. He would like you to have as good looking set of teeth as possible albeit that some procedures to get there may not be necessary. Because he was going to take two crowns off that was totally unnecessary, at a cost of 1-2 thousand dollars to have new ones made, I will not be going back to him. In general I would recommend Dr. Hernandez but make sure you are comfortable with what he wants to do and if you are not, obtain a second opinion. For me, when someone is not truthful with me I lose respect for them. I will find another dentist in the future.

Case in point, I ha e had bad experiences with dentists and oral surgeons in the past and Dr. Sidwha took the time to explain every process to me in detail and with confidence. Everything he told me would happen was 100% accurate and he did everything to keep me calm. Julia the assistant is also amazing, she went above and beyond to keep me relaxed with excellent communication through the whole process. Plus, they accept my insurance and kept my out of pocket costs really low. Thanks to Dr. Sidwha for his expertise and care!

I experienced the same mistreatment as all the other bad reviews. They are designed to push unnecessary services on you. If you disagree then you are even treated worse. I walked away from their business practices today and asked where did the original dentist go. The office bully snapped at me and said "he was fired!" That in itself is unprofessional. Take the time to look elsewhere for a better dentist provider and don't waste your time with the ungrateful attitudes and pushy sales tactics.
