My son needs oral surgery. He has a very rare blood disorder. We made an appointment for consultation. Got there and was told it was moved to the Gainesville office! Said they tried to call, but no recorded call. Said they would fit him in at Gainesville. He went there, waited for numerous hours and was finally told they couldn't fit him in. After finally seeing the doctor, he was told that the work should be done in a hospital, and that my son should see a Sage doctor in Kennesaw. We went there this week, and we're advised that the doctor would NOT work on my son, and he should see someone ( that we will have to find) in Emory to do the work. All in all, I found Sage administrative to not be helpful, caused us numerous trips, money and time and ultimately will be of no assistance. read more

Let me spare you the headache of going here by saying...DON'T! Front Desk lady was so rude to me from the moment I said, hello. Told me I didn't have an appointment, yet I had confirmation via text and email confirming otherwise. I mentioned to the assistant how rude this person was and she seemed shocked and questioned me rather than apologizing and moving on. Dr. came in and made up some excuse for me to need approval through a periodontist for tray liners. Just to follow up on my review a few months ago. After I had a root canal/crown done on a tooth here. The root canal was done improperly and led to an infection and an eventual extraction. To add on to the horrible pain this caused me, the implant that was put in after the extraction was not only crooked, but also too close to one side and too far back which another dentist told me will make my crown crooked. So if you want crappy quality dental work done that may or may not put you in a hospital, then please use this dentistry. read more

If you have adequate insurance and can avoid going to this location, do so at all costs. Was pressured into getting two crowns to address cavities. The experience beginning to end was an unnecessary nightmare , and ultimately ended up going to a different dentist after the procedure because of discomfort and sensitivity in the teeth they worked on. Ultimately needed root canals to address the shotty crown work done at this location. Not only did the other dentist mention that crowns more than likely were not necessary to begin with (and that they did a poor job placing) but that "they look like I have had them for years". This is because the ones they ordered for me were the wrong size , and instead of doing the right thing (sending them back and re-ordering the correct size) they continuously shaved them down until they "fit". From the front office and pushy manager to the dentist, this practice is strictly a money grab and could care less about their patients. Awful experience .... I won't comment about the Doctor/ or the Service because I couldn't even get to it. I had a confirmed appointment for 8 AM, I reached their on time but due to clerical issue at their end (PCD location was not correct at their end), they kept me on wait for an hour. Instead of being helpful or cooperative, the office manager Mike was instead extremely rude, adamant and unapologizing. Ideally he should have resolved the issue directly with my insurance, but instead he asked me to call the insurance to get it FIXED, which was not even a issue at the insurance end. Any how, even than I called my insurance, explained them the issue and the Member Service agent told me that he can explain things to the office manager. He was even willing to call back and talk to the Office Manager Mike to explain and clarify the issue but Mike denied to talk, not sure why. I guess it's a very routine thing for Providers to talk to Member Services for clarifications, and that's the whole reason they ask for those details while booking the appointments. I am still unsure why that person behaved so strange, probably their was an element of racism in his whole conduct. Ultimately I had to just walk out after trying to sort the things for an hour.... I went to this practice summer of 2022. I was pregnant and needed a cleaning which was the main reason why I went to the dentist lol. The staff was amazing, the environment was chill and relaxed. I am a recovering odontophobia, as a child I had negative experiences with dentist. Let's just say, the dentist I met with that day reaffirmed me there are dentist out there who are only in it for the money. I saw him for maybe 5 mins and he told me something that was not true and tried to make me get an extensive, serious, dental procedure. They said I needed cleaning. This took 35min to complete. My teeth were still smooth like nothing had changed. They charged $1500+ for this clean only service as my dentist was not there to evaluate the work. I felt scammed so went to another dentist that held back their comment but 30 days later said I need a cleaning and with mirror showed the back side of my teeth had plaque that they would get off. So I was overcharged by sage. I got a bill 9 months later sage was shorted by the dental insurance $20 that I now n3ed to pay. I have made it a point to tell all about sage dental and their greed. I should have known.. when you hear sage say they need to schedule cleaning on two days as it is best for insurance beware.. this is for them to charge maximums allowed and over two days they charge an extra visit and charge a deep cleaning twice once for left quadrant and same $$$ for right. I have been a patient of Sage Dental for about 4 years now. My most recent experience since October 2021 has not been pleasant. When I make my appointments, I always request an In-Network dentist to ensure my benefits are utilized to the fullest. However, I get to my appointment and I'm informed the doctor I'm seeing today is Out-of-network. As long as my bill is not reflected of that and I am not charged out of pocket for the extra expenses. I pay my bill that is my part on the day of services; however, I then started to receive bills that I should not. It's July 2022 and I still fighting for an October 2021 expenses to be removed from my account. I was told by the Front Desk as well as the Office Manager that these charges would be removed since this was not my error or fault but a scheduling issue! read more

If I could give this place a negative review, I would. 3 days after getting my wisdom teeth taken out, I went to Sage Dental of Roswell because I was in excruciating pain radiating up to my ear. It was sharp throbbing pain that was not going away with medications. After reading about all the symptoms and how EXTREMELY painful it was, I suspected that it was dry socket. Dr. James Maina was rude and condescending. He made me talk 3 days after getting 4 of wisdom teeth pulled out. My father tried speaking for me because I was in excruciating pain and he was shut down and Dr. Maina said that I am adult and I should be able to talk for myself (nevermind the excruciating sharp pain, the exposed nerves/bone, and the 4 teeth being taken out). Then, he laughed in my face when I told him that it could be a dry socket and didn't even bother to check properly. Later, I called Sage Dental of Rosewell and the person on the line said that Dr. Maina said that he had irrigated my mouth when he did no such thing and only prescribed me ibuprofen after belittling me. After going to another surgeon at another practice, I figured out that I did indeed have dry socket and I suffered all these days in excruciating pain for no reason. I had not slept for 4 days from this pain by that point. The surgeon at this new place was able to figure it out by checking properly and put a medicated patch in my mouth in a matter of minutes which provided immediate relief. By the time I was able to get to this surgeon, it had been 4 days of excruciating pain. The emergency number I was given after surgery at Sage Dental of Cumming did not even work. I was very pleased with the professionalism of the entire team at Sage Dental of Roswell. I am very nervous about going to the dentist and they all did their best at making me feel at ease. The office was immaculate. What I liked most is that they told me cost up front and there were no hidden costs as I experienced with other practices. Worst experience at a dentist. DO NOT GO!!! THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE. I just relocated to Georgia and tired this dentist because it was in my insurance network. I originally booked for a Teeth whitening but found out they changed my appointment to just a exam/teeth cleaning without my knowledge. I went with it because I wanted a cleaning anyways so that was fine but I knew I really wanted teeth whitening also. I get there and as I'm in the dentist chair they tell me I can't get a cleaning because the "hygienist had an emergency and had to leave" So I asked why no one called to tell me this before I got here. The guy they sent me with barely spoke English so he couldn't explain anything so I asked for him to bring me someone from the front desk. The front desk person comes to the back (might I add with an attitude) and he starts to explain that they don't do same day teeth cleaning. (So first the "hygienist isn't here" and now "they don't do same day teeth cleaning"). He stated, I would have to take my X-ray, leave then come back for a cleaning. WHAT! I knew right there they were playing games. Every time I spoke to someone it was a different story or excuse. The story kept going in circles. If it's possible to give zero stars, that is my rating. This was the worst dental visit I have ever had. I made an appointment for a basic teeth cleaning. They had no intention of giving me a teeth cleaning at my visit and didn't bother to tell me that until after they had taken x-rays. When I asked about it, they attempted to get the Dr. to talk to me and he asked how I wanted to proceed with this appointment knowing that there would not be a cleaning, but didn't give me any options about proceeding? I then asked what my insurance covers for this appointment and he walked me to the person at the front desk who showed me a giant list of potential procedures I could have done and what my insurance would cover and what I would pay. My insurance covers cleanings at 100% 2x a year and I picked this office because they are in-network. He showed me if I proceeded with the cleaning it would cost the insurance company $1,200 and I would only have to pay $443 - WHAT??Shame on me for not doing due diligence before making the appointment. Avoid this dental at all costs. They will perform the services and avoid your insurance company to bill you for the full amount. I am currently in the process of getting them to file the claims to my dental insurance provider since June. They lied to me about filing in the past and now the office manager is making it difficult. First she filed my claims to the wrong insurance company, sent the claims to the wrong PO BOX address and have faxed the claims as opposed to electronic, despite my insurance rep telling her that it's much faster. The deadline to file is the first week of September and if the claims aren't submitted by that time then it will be denied. If this happens then I will be submitting a complaint to the state and I will be seeking legal means of action. read more

When I visited this dentist I was told that they could only clean half of my teeth in one visit, because I needed scaling. I called my insurance provider and was told that the dentist can do it in one visit if they answer some questions. I was billed $165 at the time of my visit. I am supposed to receive a free cleaning every six months, so strike one. After my half mouth visit, I received a bill for $30. The dentist knew precisely what my insurance was going to pay, so there was no reason at all for the extra $30 charge. They never explained what it was for, so I refused to pay them. They never called me. I did not see a claim come through on my insurance, so I called the insurance company. They told me that the patient responsibility on that claim is $0.00. They noted that the claim was submitted incorrectly, so a portion was denied. The insurance rep called the dentist but they didn't answer. I called them and told them about their error, my bill and my actual patient responsibility. They said I was billed the $30 because of the denial of the claim, which was their fault. Strike two. They should have investigated the denial and discovered their error instead of threatening to turn me over to a collection agency. They had 5 months to correct the situation. Also, I had to pay $165 for scaling that they considered only worth $30? Strike three. I will never return to this practice or company. The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. Found them from my insurance's website. Had an emergency appointment for noon today, got a call at 8:00 AM this morning, saying the did not have a noon appointment, but if I could be there by 9:00 AM, they could see me. I called to reschedule, and made the appointment, the person on the phone verbally confirmed the date and time of the appointment. I received an email with the appointment date and time. I arrive to my appointment to find out they have it scheduled for next week. I referred to the email confirmation, and Joyce said "Well, just disregard that email. Like anyone, I hate going to the dentist. It's scary and I don't like people rooting around in my mouth. That being said, Sage Dental is an amazing place! I found them through my dental insurance and was skeptical because I had gone to the same dentist for nearly 20 years since I was a child and had flipped around from dentist to dentist, not really being satisfied with anyone. I was also skeptical when I called and received a call center employee, who was not the politest of people. But, I've worked for a call center before and it's hard to be cheery in a hellacious setting like that. But once I had made that initial call, every call since then has been linked directly to the front desk. I imagine they have that call center for first time patients because they get calls all the time! It's really a brilliant way to do business. First time patients go through the call center and then move to front desk once they've been seen. My story is a long one and I won't go into details, but the main point is that I had been to a previous dentist for root canal and the crown had apparently been put on incorrectly. I saw Dr. Diamonon, who told me that I had a massive cavity underneath that crown because of it. He took care of the cavity and gave me a brand new crown that feels like a real tooth! (The other one did not but it was my first one so how was I supposed to know?) The staff there are all so nice, too. I have so much fun whenever I go! How crazy is that?! Having fun at a dentist's office? But the dental technicians are a blast and so friendly. I switched to Dr. Hudson because of time and scheduling constraints and he's just as awesome as Dr. Diamonon. Both of them are very knowledgeable and easy to get along with. I still don't like people in my mouth. That'll never change. But I have to say that Sage Dental is one of the best experiences I've ever had and I don't plan to go anywhere else anytime soon. read more

My wife needed a specialist for a difficult root canal procedure. The tooth is now fine but the cost was more than excessive: $1600 for the root canal and $200 for a "consultation," when in fact there was no consultation as such. Sage also charged $45 for personal protective equipment, which of course is simply a cost of doing business. We received a 25% discount after many phone calls to the insurance company and the Sage billing office (which was neither cooperative nor competent) but the cost was still excessive. It's also worth noting that my wife was not told about the cost until after she had been prepped for the procedure, when a bill was brought to her with the expectation that she would pay it in advance. Our sense is that Sage Dental, a large operation with 60 offices in Georgia and Florida, is more concerned about lining the pockets of its owners than providing reasonably priced, good-quality dentistry. read more

Dr. Diamond told me that I "can't have pain" on a tooth that has had a root canal (by this office) but I did. I was nervous and had anxiety about going to the dentist after a few years. I went to sage dental in Roswell GA. After x-rays and a quick exam the dentist came in briefly and told me a few recommendations it was not a personal nor warm welcome. My main concern was insurance/ finances. They had the billing manager came to and talked to me and his exact words to me was my insurance was healthy mouth insurance how professional right. I asked him what was covered he told me the x-rays and exam NO cleaning. As I checked out I noticed they had financial brochores I questioned him about them and he told me one was only if you had good credit what would make him assume that I didn't have good credit. I found a different dentist and was able to use my "healthy mouth insurance" and receive a cleaning that same day and still have a balance with my insurance plus the dentist, and staff had outstanding customer service. I'd been going here a little over a year and liked Dr. Hudson... But I had a cleaning in March of 2020 scheduled which was cancelled due to Covid and could not get another appointment until the first of the year in 2021. I knew I was going to have some build up and the hygenist told met that was normal with the pandemic. She took my Xrays and told me the Dr. (Keith) would be in to see me. I said oh the Dr. is seeing me first thing, they usually see me after. And she says, "No the Dr. always see's you first so we know what we're working with"... I have never, and I'm 39, seen the Dr. first... but ok. The Dr. comes in and tells me it's not great, but it's not bad. My appointment was at 3 and it's 330 at this point and I gotta get back to work, because I took my lunch break to do this cleaning. Finally I get the hygenist in my mouth poking around at my gums. She tells me it may be time for a "deep clean". She says she's going to get my "plan" off the printer. She's gone for over 10 minutes, when I admin comes in to discuss my "plan". She goes on about how I need a "deep clean" and it will need to be done in two sessions with me coming out of pocket almost $300. I really don't mind doing a deep clean, but with everything going on, PANDEMIC, I should not be charged for this service. Especially since I didn't see them once in 2020 (my insurance pays for two cleanings). They cancelled my appointments or wouldn't allow me to schedule. Which I understand so I think they should understand paying $300 extra in the middle of a pandemeic when a lot of Americans are depending on $600 stimulus checkss is out of the question. Needless to say they refused to do my regular cleaning so I left. I will be finding a new dentist. My brother in law said his dentist y told him the same thing, needing a deep clean, but they didn't refuse him a cleaning. read more

We needed an emergency appointment and they were able to get us in in less than an hour from the time I called. When we arrived the staff was very inviting and friendly. Obviously worried about the expense, they walked us through the cost of each procedure before doing anything and gave us the option of what worked best for us and our budget. I didn't even make it to the office as a patient before they had proven how disorganized and unprofessional that they are! I initially called the office to make an appointment 3 weeks prior at 4pm. I received an email two days before my originally scheduled time, stating that the time of my appointment had been changed to 3pm without my knowledge or my confirmation. I called the office and explain to them that I'm not going to be able to make the time that they gave me, I needed the time that I had originally made the appointment for which was 4pm. Only to get another email 4 days before my rescheduled appointment telling me my time was changed to 12. Then someone called and left a voicemail on my phone, wanting me to confirm the time that I had NOT scheduled. I called the office back to inquire about this SECOND time change and no one answered the phone. Therefore, I left a detailed voicemail indicating that I need to follow up phone call so that we could discuss what was going on with my appointment times... And why they keep getting changed without my knowledge. (As if other people don't have jobs and schedules of their own) No one ever called me back, however I continue to get emails telling me about this re-re-scheduled appointment that I never agreed-upon. The day of my appointment comes, someone is calling me to confirm if I'm showing up at this 12pm appointment that I never agreed upon-- this is where things get very hairy. The woman on the phone tells me that the doctors leave at 4pm--yet, the office doesn't close until 5 and that the last appointment is at 3pm?? Doesn't really make sense to me? What exactly are y'all doing between 4-5 that you can't take another patient!? Also, why wasn't that communicated with me the FIRST time i made an appointment for the 4pm time slot!? Second, why are you just CHANGING peoples appointment times without even getting in contact with them? The women tells me, "well i did call you..." and my response, "And I called you back AND left a voicemail". And her response was "well...I don't know." Well ma'am I don't know either. Do not go there unless you want to get scammed. They do not go by state and insurance practices. They billed me outright for all of my services and then didn't even submit the bills to my insurance company. We went there at least 12 times and my insurance has 1 billing from them. They overcharged me and they don't submit billing. I will be filing a formal complaint with the state and my insurance is working in getting me a refund for what they overcharged us, which looks to be about $600. They also had a promotion for a free Sonic toothbrush or teeth cleaning kit when you signed up, but when you got to the office and asked for it, they were "all out." Watch out for the constant up-sell! From the minute you sit down and review your "care plan." Apparently, you can't just get a check-up, x-rays and a cleaning that are covered by your insurance, you should get the panoramic x-ray for an additional $20 - on top of the x-rays your insurance does pay them for...and a special deep flush cleaning for $69, plus a couple of other extras that we suggest. When you're sitting in the dentist's chair, you should not be hit with an up-sell. Every cleaning should be thorough cleaning at the dentist. KUDOS TO THIs DENTAL OFFICE! I recently had some much needed dental work at my Sage in Stuart, FL where I from. It wasn't a great time to have it done, as I was leaving for my daughters in Roswell, GA for a couple weeks, but it had to be done as a tooth broke that held my bridge. Of course I started having trouble, which was expected a couple days after I arrived. I looked up a sage dental clinic on google and found this fantastic office. I was given appointment immediately and the staff "WOW" is what I can tell you. Dr. Northcutt was amazing and treated me like I had been coming there forever, and his assistant Annette, wouldn't let me leave until I was happy with what she had completed on my dentures. They were patient and I will come back whenever I visit my daughter, which is often. If I lived here, this would be my dental office of choice!!! read more

I received a very professional experience at Sage Dental of Roswell. The office was very new and clean. I got a $69 Special which included a set of eight x-rays and a complete tooth cleaning and an analysis of my teeth from the Dentist. I was given an electric toothbrush which did not have the round brush, so did not work too well. All in all, I will return to Sage Dental for my six-month check-up. read more

I tried setting up new patient appointments for my husband and I at Sage Dental with Dr. Hudson because of his great reviews. In the request form I wrote that my husband and I would prefer to go at the same time (we've done this several times at our past dentists). In the reply back I was told "we can get the two of you in at 3pm". I think everyone reading that would read that as we would both get cleanings at 3pm. When I called to book the appointment, the lady I spoke with was condescending and told me that's not how it works and that if we both want to go in, the first one would have a one hour exam and then a one hour cleaning and then the second would have a one hour exam and one hour cleaning after this. This would total four hours at the dentist for a standard cleaning appointment, which is unheard of. I was fine booking many weeks out so that we could have the same time appointments with different hygienists but apparently this was not an option. Even though I know it's an option at many other places, I told her that was fine we'd just find a different place that could take us at the same time.
