    FARM RAISED NOT WILD CAUGHT
    Gina C.

We ate here several years ago. It made a lasting impression, so when we were traveling through the area we made a special point to stop and eat here. For this visit the experience was quite different. There website lists, "Wild caught salmon." My husband and I were super excited about ordering the Thai salads to save in our cooler for later in the day. We ordered some fruit and quiche for breakfast. We took everything to go as we were trying to make time on the road. The quiche was super greasy. The fruit was the best item as it was fresh and very delicious. When we stopped later in the day for lunch we were very disappointed to see that we were not given wild caught salmon. We know what it looks like and what it takes like. The salmon was farm raised. How do we know for sure? We have an Alaska area code. We have snatched them right out of the Kenai River. Farm raised is night and day from Wild caught salmon. If you know then ya know. There is a big price difference, and we are willing to pay for it. It's very misleading to pass off farm raised as wild. Due to this we will NOT be going out of our way to return.

Food: Was ok. I felt they tried to be a lil too fancy for the place. Down home cooking would have been great there. We got a pitcher of mimosa $38 picture and hand for scale. Service: was good food came out pretty quickly Ambiance: the store it self was very pretty lots of plants. It is also connected to a nursery that you can walk around and get something to eat since you'll probably still be hungry! Overall worth a vist

Yes! We went for a late lunch snack and food was made to order. I had the salmon Thai salad and it was so fresh. The dressing was the perfect compliment to the salad. Service was great! We were immediately greeted and ordering was a breeze. Ambiance. I LOVE the ambiance. So many beautiful plants decorating the entire restaurant. I want them all We are driving through Frankfort and were pleasantly surprised by how nice this cafe was. I MUST stop! I didn't try the coffees or teas or the desserts. They had an array of those items as well. Would love to try those next time.

Take out: Chocolate dipped chocolate chip cookies, regular and gluten free brownies. Chicken Caesar Wrap, kettle chips.

Absolutely one of the best place we have ever been! Most of restaurants today are filled with non organic and genetically modified food, aren't homemade and makes us sick, but this restaurant has everything made from scratch and is so delicious! The service is amazing and perfect! Really friendly! We would love to have a place just like this one by our home in Florida! They also have a shop and their own gigantic greenhouses! Absolutely beautiful place and you feel like living in the country where peace is. If we could we would give them way more than 5 stars!

Beautiful setting and great food. This is our second time in two days eating here and we love it!

It was a beautiful day today and I wanted brunch. So what to do?... jump on Yelp and type in brunch in Frankfort. This little gem the Sage Garden Cafe popped up and I knew it was the one. My partner in crime said "are we eating or visiting a nursery" when we pulled up. Lol. There is a nursery there; however, I was there for the food. There was a sign on the door asking for patience because they were low staffed. I must say I don't have a problem waiting I really don't and I thought that was a nice gesture. It was much appreciated. When you walk in the atmosphere is my kinda vibe. I am a plant lady myself. It's full of different kinds of plants. There's different types of wood on the ceiling, the floor, the tables & chairs even different shades of moss framed on the walls which was so cool! The foliage was beautiful and it made the wait not bad at all. I chose the chicken salad sandwich with a cup of tomato basil soup. I don't know who baked the bread for this sandwich but Can I have your digits!!!! Laws it was so soft and flavorful and the bits of walnuts in the bread were just Mmmmmm. I honestly took the top piece of bread off and dipped it in my soup and devoured it. I took the rest home. The tomato basil soup was warm and hearty. It was full of flavor the shaved Parmesan added a wonderful tang. I did manage to eat some of the garden salad that came beautifully dressed with oil & vinegar. The salad is served in a big silver bowl that is perfect for enjoying a salad. He also ordered the puréed potato soup. He enjoyed it; however, I like more textured potato soup. The star of this show was the delicious iced tea and the Lemon Blueberry cake. You could taste the love in this cake. It had the perfect crumb and was hands down THE best lemon blueberry cake I've ever had in my life. I'll be back for that combo again. This is the perfect spot for a foodie. And the atmosphere is quite nice! I'm glad it's close to where I live. I kick myself for not going sooner. It's that good.

We were in the area and saw this on yelp. We stopped by this adorable cafe for some weekday brunch. There were plenty of breakfast and lunch items to choose from and all the portions were large and filling. I think they were under staffed, but they were all attentive and you could hardly tell. We had a great time here and will be back!

Delicious, fresh food and a relaxed ambience. Walk up service to order and they will bring your order to your table. This cafe is just what Frankfort needs! Great coffee and matcha too.

Are there any gluten free options on the menu?

Hello Emma! We do have gluten-free options. We can make any sandwich gluten-free by using Udi's brand bread. One thing I would mention is that while we do our very best to eliminate cross-contamination and account for various allergies and…

There is the ordering line and just a headed up they don't serve meat products. All dishes are vegetarian. You get to select 2 from the list for a meal ( as they are smaller portions ). They have some great dishes and savory tastes. They have beer and wines available; nice selection but not abundant- but when you have good selection in the first place you only need a smaller list. The hummus appetizer is awesome and great with the focaccia bread but I'd get at least a double portion bread right away. The porter was very good! If you're in Lexington stop here for the experience and some good food and drink!

The food was okay. Nothing to write home about. Especially for the hype and the line you wait in. Service is okay, kind of friendly and was incredibly slow to get food out. After waiting for 20-25 minutes we stood by the kitchen window to wait for our food to come up, we overheard people coming to pick up food and being told they were out of items they ordered and to choose something else... from the already VERY LIMITED menu. I was struck that they were allowing orders to go through for items they didn't have.. Anyways, the couscous salad was great. The lox and kohlrabi salad was mid with soggy bread. The pretzel was decent. Seating in the garden was viby - I'm assuming this is why everyone hypes this place up. Overall very pretentious. Walking around the greenhouse and seeing the plant prices is LAUGHABLE. As a gardener, these prices are insane and you can certainly find great plants at a much better price elsewhere. Again, pretentious. I've experienced their garden seating so I don't think I need to go back when visiting Lexington.
