We arrived and the smell of the deliciousness hits you immediately when you walk in the door. Their sourdough is so soft, and so yummy, I've never had anything like it. Found a gem in Simpsonville Kentucky. Weathered Oak Farm is a cute little spot on US 60 in Simpsonville. It shares the spot with a cute boutique The Lovely Fig. The building catches any rustic, farmhouse enthusiasts eye, it's that captivating. Simple yet captivating. I was so excited to go inside. The smells coming from inside made my mouth water. I wasn't even planning on eating. BUT.... My stomach took over and I'm glad I listening. The menu is beautifully written on the wall. We ordered a honey latte, cinnamon roll and toasted bread with peanut butter-honey-and banana. While we waited on our food I looked at the local items for sale. There's jewelry, clothing and other cute things. Now...the coffee and goodies. The honey latte was so warm & creamy. Just the right amount of honey flavor. It definitely hit the spot. My partner in crime got the cinnamon roll, which he did end up sharing. I will order one for myself next time!!!! The toast with peanut butter, honey and banana was amazing as well. Coming from out of town and looking for a good place to eat and a cup of coffee. After ordering, we had to asked the worker behind the counter for a rag to clean a table off since all tables were dirty. Ordered the Sunrise bagel sandwich. Bacon, egg, and cheese on a sourdough bagel (bagel was fresh and delicious and the bacon egg was light and tasty) and a couple of cinnamon rolls. The cinnamon rolls were the show stealer! As for our coffee's Giz had a delightful Hometown Honey Iced Latte that left her feeling the local love. Chewy ordered a drip black coffee. We received our food and other drinks before Chewy got his. After asking the barista, she said it would be coming out the back kitchen since she was out at the front counter. Giz had to politely knock and ask for the coffee from the back seemingly breaking up the gossip train. Take away, the food was above average except for the cinnamon rolls. Those were out of this world delicious. The customer service was lacking, but seemed to get back on track when they realized customers were coming in. read more

Sourdough is the one bread I can eat due to a gluten intolerance. I am so excited about finding Weathered Oak Farm! A family-run business, Weathered Oaks Sourdough starts with a 100 year old starter. Yep, you heard me right! It was the owner's father started and he passed it down to his children. The sourdough bread has a wonderful sweetness to it that reminds me of Hawaiian bread. They also make the best chocolate chip cookies, Lee ate 3 of them the first night ! The Cinnamon Rolls are soooooo good. I cannot believe I found this bakery so close!! They make breakfast and lunch sandwiches and sale pans of cinnamon rolls ready to cook! A wonderful choice of teas & coffees. Butterfly Lemonade is my favorite!! They do not have a lot of selections for healthy food; mostly sweets. Coffee is good; again, not a lot of selections. I would say most people who work there are pleasant. The ambiance is comfortable. All merchandise are pricey as well as what they serve. I think there is a lot they can do to improve: Like extended hours in the afternoon, a nice patio with shades and/ or umbrellas with beautiful lights, green plants or flowers for the customers to sit outside when the weather is nice while playing soft jazz music in the background (something inviting) Lower their price a little for everything. I have been coming to this place just about since they opened. I think they opened in October of 2021. I found them through YELP in December. I don't come often since I live about 40 minutes away. But I do come about every other week when traveling through for work. I was a huge fan of their coffee up until a couple of months ago. Not really sure what happened but ever since then their lattes have been so inconsistent, mostly when it comes to how sweet they are. There used to be one main person on the espresso machine every time I went & my drink was always the same. Now there's a different person every time I go. That in itself would be fine. But each girl there makes them different. I'll be back but probably won't be getting a latte from them again anytime soon. Cute outdoor area though. read more

We love Weathered Oak! The sourdough is amazing. We have had the cinnamon rolls, bagels and the bread. We always buy extra loaves to take home (if they make it that far!). We are in Simpsonville pretty much weekly, and our 7 year old grandson knows the routine! Their drinks are wonderful too! I'm a tea drinker and they have a nice selection of loose teas. The food is always great and very consistent. The breakfast sandwiches are always good as are the cinnamon rolls. The chicken and dumplings are great too when they have them. My concern with the food though is their cookware and serving ware. While it's got a good look to it, the vintage cookware- plates and baking dishes- is actually quite dangerous. You can see chips on them and those old dishes are notorious for being highly leaded, which is not a good thing. I wouldn't want to eat off of them or eat food from them. I recently learned of this so I haven't eaten there since I saw the risks. I hope they see this review and decide to buy new dishes and bakeware. Otherwise, it's a great place to stop in and grab a drink and food. read more

You will wish you could tear into the entire container.. but it's simply impossible. If you're going to a bakery for food, these are by far the show stoppers.
