Wallace Station is a lunch institution! We popped in at 11 and were in front of the lunch rush and waited no time for our food. The country ham and pimento sandwich was loaded with flavor! Others in our group ordered the Rachel and turkey club and everyone left sated and happy. The sweet tea was delicious and freshly made, and the Miss Vickie's chips were the perfect finishing touch on it all. Wallace Station is come-as-you-are comfy casual and has indoor and outdoor seating so you can have a laid back and lazy picnic table lunch, or a slightly faster paced deli counter style in the hustle and bustle inside.

Food was disappointing. We should not have ordered the "local" speciality, the inside out hot brown. It was very bland a smothered in a plain thick white tasteless gravy. Now we know what white cheddar Mornay is. Just say nay. Same for the potato salad. While tipping is optional, it's a choice when paying at the counter before you are served. The service amounts to a kid yelling your name and dropping off your food. We asked for catsup and we were told where to find it. Lots of outdoor seating in the shade. Ample parking even for large trucks. I'd go back, but order something different.

Had a really nice summer afternoon lunch date with my husband here! I got the chicken salad, he got the fried chicken sandwich, and we shared fried pickles. Will definitely be back!! Beautiful location and great service

Really good quick service. The big blue burger was really good. Got it on rye bread and it was 8/10. Will be back to try the fish of the day which is their specials on Friday's. But let's get straight to the money maker, chocolate bourbon pecan pie, 10/10. It's just worth going to get the pie. Also the catfish sandwich was 8/10! Get the pie and thank me later. Also sit outside if it's nice, they have a great patio area to sit in.

Was a line out the door, and I can see why. Was recommended by our tour guide at Lane's End Farm. Food was amazing and fairly fast considering how busy they were. Will go back next time we are in the area

Love this place! On a beautiful Saturday afternoon it can be crowded but they accommodate! The line moves quickly and there is plenty of seating inside and out. Today the parking lot was full, but we didn't feel too crowded and we didn't have to wait too long. The country ham and pimento cheese sandwich is the one that was on the Best Things I've Ever Eaten on the Food Network and it is incredible. The bread is from the Midway School Bakery, and it is delicious. I highly recommend Recomended!

It doesn't get much more Kentucky than Wallace Station nestled in the heart of Kentucky horse country surrounded by thoroughbred horse farms. This is one of Chef Ouita's amazing restaurants. She sources all fresh ingredients from local Kentucky farms. I absolutely love Wallace station for their burgers. They were even featured by guy fieri for one of these such burgers. I also love their homemade desserts made by midway bakery just down the street. The lemon bar is truly the best one I've ever had. This restaurant has a small inside but pretty large deck to sit on outback and now they have a larger covered section. It's one of my favorites and I'd highly recommend it to locals and those traveling to Ky!

This was an impromptu stop for a late lunch, and Wallace Station did not disappoint! It was crowded inside due to a recent thunderstorm, but a table opened up just in time. Hubby ordered the Big Brown Burger with fries, one of Guy Fiero's top 5 burgers, and I had a panini-grilled County Ham and Pimento Cheese on whole wheat with orzo salad. Hubby said it was one of the best burgers he ever had! The fries were perfectly cooked too. My sandwich was very with sliced tomato inside. We finished the meal splitting a sorghum cookie; yum!

The store carries several treats that I can imagine my great grandmothers preparing for a budget-friendly dessert.

As with all the DDD Guy Fieri featured places, I tried what he had recommended here: The Big Brown burger was huge! The beef was well cooked. I personally would have been okay with a medium well patty. I only had a bite to sample the triple meat (beef patty, bacon, and ham. I like a fresh tomato on my burgers and the cheddar mornay was a delicious complement to the sandwich. The staff were friendly and helpful. What I enjoyed the most, and the reason I would come back is hands-down the deck patio surrounded by mature trees and a yard with a rustic, dilapidated barn. It was picturesque and reminded me of places my parents would have taken us on Sunday afternoon drives during my childhood. Adding perfection to my experience at Wallace Station was the live performance of my nephew and his wife, David Austin and Baylee Morgan.

    Sweet ice tea!

Great neighborhood place! We've been here before. The food's great and the service is top shelf too. Check out our pics from this visit.

Love Wallace Station. Only criticism is the condition of the bathroom. I know it's an old building but it needs to be clean.

Had the Santa Anita and a dessert. Both were great! I'd recommend this stop to anyone going through the Lexington area.

What a treat! A co-worker dating someone in Lexington suggested this place…read more We were in the area and decided to give this place a try. It's not exactly in Lexington... it's more on the outskirts(in my opinion) but it hits extremely hard. They have many things on their menu but I wanted something simple. Breakfast sandwich. I added cheese and ordered an avocado for it too. I should've ordered an extra biscuit. It was light, filling, and equalized me in the most perfect way. My wife ordered the grain bowl and it was so much bigger than we thought it'd be. Plenty for leftovers. If I had any complaints, it'd be that it is a smaller place. Let me rephrase... not so much small but it is busy and cramped. They could easily expand to another location or larger location. We will definitely visit this place again. All the food was perfect!

The breakfast burrito was a great burrito and would recommend to anyone who wants a burrito. Not basic but a higher level breakfast burrito. The dip that accompanied the burrito was also very tasty.Their version of a hash brown was pleasantly very crisp with a mild cheese flavor. The omelette was uncooked. It was a Japanese style omelette that was soft and runny in the middle. Not very appetizing if you were not expecting it. It was accompanied by half a big bag of balsamic salad greens . I'm not sure who actually enjoys this pairing. The hot honey chicken biscuit was nothing to talk about. It was also paired with the other half of the big bag of balsamic salad greens. Would not order again. It's a standard cafe with nothing that made it stand out to us. The prices seemed high for what we got. Places are hit or miss and unfortunately this place was a miss for us.

We were greeted by the friendly cashier that took our order right away as there was no line. I got the orange marmalade chicken sandwich and my friend got the cheeseburger and fries. I love this place and what they stand for. My brother in law is a recovering alcoholic and substance abuser. He's been clean and sober for over 20 years and is an RN . We chose it for the convenient location and the resemblance to a NKY band by the same name. Don't let the counter-ordering process or cafeteria tray-paper plate service dissuade you. The food quality and quantity are on point and the prices are moderate. My husband rates the Southern Eggs Benedict among the best he's ever had. My Breakfast Plate scrambled eggs were soft and creamy and the large biscuit with honey butter was worth every carb and calorie. The coffee is excellent and we even splurged on their sweet-and-salty kitchen sink cookie. As if that isn't enough, DV8 Kitchen is a second chance employer for people in recovery and everyone we encountered was pleasant and hard-working. We wish them all success and we'll certainly be back.
