Our dental insurance was going through a lot of changes and we jumped around to several different dentists. We found Dr Barr on one of the changes and are so happy we did. I have been one of his patients for several years now and think very highly of both Dr. Barr and his staff. I especially like his dental hygienist. she is very gentle but also very through. That has not been my experience with other hygenists. I used to hate having my teeth cleaned because I was in pain for two or three days after a cleaning. That has never happened to me at Sagepointe It's always a no pain cleaning for me. I am rolling up there in terms of years but thankfully have all my teeth, including my wisdom teeth. The staff was incredibly friendly and caring from the moment I walked in. I came in with a chipped tooth that needed to be repaired, and Dr. Dehnadi did an amazing job. My tooth looks perfect now and I'm so happy with the result! I was also due for a cleaning, and their hygienist Katie (sorry if I'm spelling that wrong) was extremely thorough and gentle. Office staff were professional and friendly, however the service from cleaning lack skills. The previous dentist, Dr. Warren Barr,was great, professional and communicated very well as well as performed great service. I had no problems with any of his work, fillings crowns, etc. over many years. However, with the new dentist that took over, Dr. Bortay Dehanadi, though detailed, was not very patient, and was gruff. Her work; I had two crowns (after having root canal referred by her) on two back teeth, and still had pain the area, and could no long chew on that side. I liked this dentist at first. The staff is constantly changing and not experienced. Rough and rude! When questioned on their practices, repeated referrals for the same thing ( Other DDS wasn't sure what dr Dehandi was referring for) , repeated X-rays that insurance denied due to not medically necessary, losing records, mistreating staff. This office is so mismanaged. The treatment that this DDS gives to patients is appalling! She gets angry when the patient advocates for themselves, then is offended when she's proven wrong. Dr. Barr and his office staff are all very professional. They explain what exactly you need, the assistants and Hygenist's are thorough and nice. They have practiced amazing care even through this pandemic. Dr. Barr does an amazing job on numbing before a procedure. Dr.Barr and his staff are amazing! I had Erika as my dental assistant and she was kind, courteous, and attentive to all my needs. There was no wait time, they got me back in a timely matter, and the doctor took his time with me and answered all my questions! I went to another dentist office before coming here and I felt extremely pressured by their dentist to change out all of my silver fillings to composite. Dr. Barr looked at them and said they were holding up really well and that I shouldn't be concerned with it right now. I was so scared about the price for my 2 surface filling. This staff is honestly so nice and caring that the first time I went in for an appointment I thought I had entered some kind of alternate universe. I was like "ok where are the cameras? Where's Ashton?" But they seriously give their best effort to making you feel calm and welcome. They explain why they do certain things, why brushing this way does this or that, how to brush better, what your X-rays mean, etc. Plus, at the end of your visit, they give you a full bag of free goodies! Last time, I received 3 tubes of toothpaste, a toothbrush, two things of floss, a gum cleaner, plus a mint and a pack of gum. I'm sad that I'm moving at the end of the year and that I won't be able to find an office as amazing as them. read more

I hadn't been to the dentist in years and knew it was finally time to suck it up and go. My dad recommended me to try this place out and I'm glad I did! Dr. Barr and the rest of the team are amazing! I can not say enough good things about them. They're patient, welcoming, kind, helpful and everything you would want out of service and any kind of health care. I came in with my twin boys(husband at work) and the ladies there were so great with my boys! They turned on cartoons, gave them waters and toys to play with and kept them occupied during my entire visit. I'm with my boys all day and most of the time have to run my errands with my boys and when I get help like that, it's super appreciated. When I first went in to get my x-rays done, they had a gift bag for me with my name on it with a new toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. That felt super personable and welcoming. Been going to Dr. Barr for years and he and his staff are the best. I recently destroyed one of my front-facing teeth (darn Christmas candy!) and they worked me in on the very day I called. After discussing various options with the Dr. he suggested an economic solution would be to simply extract what was left of the tooth and add a new one to the partial I already had. I didn't even know this was possible--and readily opted for this choice. He and his staff worked on me immediately and they sent my partial out after 3:30 that day. Miraculously, it was back the very next morning from his local supplier of that service. (Thanks to them, too!) I came in right after lunch and Dr. Barr fine-tuned my appliance and I wore it home. I was very disappointed when I had to cancel my appt. due to having to get tested for the Virus and quarantine at home. The reminder call even stated that if patient is feeling sick, to stay at home and reschedule. But because I was being safe and didn't want to expose myself to anyone, I got dinged for "cancelling" my appt. When the shut down began, my appt. was cancelled by the office due to the closure and I got dinged again. So I am unable to schedule ANY appt. whatsoever to be seen at all! I work at a medical facility and have been working since all this started, so it's upsetting that this dental office wasn't a little more lenient in regards to rescheduling an appt. Some things are out of my hands, and during this time is when we should be helping each other out.
