Stop for the local flavor. The food is good too. Rent a room, get directions, or pick up that forgotten grocery item. Propane refilled here.

Wonderful spot with wonderful food! Would highly recommend. The view alone is worth a stop in!…read more Staff was super friendly our servers Devin, Matana, and the manager Scott all made us feel right at home with some great food recommendations. Stroganoff is amazing if you are a fan. My mom had the fried chicken and the fried shrimp were a great start to the meal. Ended with a great oatmeal berry crisp with vanilla ice cream!

I'm going to start with the biggest factor in a so-so review: The prices…read more Finding the restaurant on Yelp, I noticed that, in addition to the positive reviews, the prices seemed reasonable. They were not; they were actually 50% or more higher at the restaurant. The hamburger that was showing on Yelp for $15 was actually $22. The Steak Frites advertised for $22 were $35. I understand inflation, but this was a gross enough difference that it borders on deception, in my opinion. I also had a bad experience with my food: I ordered a cup of their chili (which they claim is made from scratch, on-site) and it was brought to the table cold. Like, "right out of a can" cold. Kelsi, our fantastic server, returned it to the kitchen where (I presume) they nuked it and brought it back. It was heated, but not very tasty. Flat; under-seasoned; mushy textured. Definitely something I'd never order again. Many reviews say the atmosphere is "loud" but what they mean is, it's "LOUD". We were seated inside, and it was nearly impossible for the three of us to converse. The acoustics are not great. Enough cons; how about some pros? My burger was FANTASTIC! piled high with caramelized onions and pastrami, but beef patty tasted like it'd just come off a charcoal grill. Terrific flavor in every bite. (The parmesan fries were tasty, too, but a little on the soggy side.) My dining partners each had a salad (one 'wedge' and one 'beetroot') and both were well-prepared and generously portioned. And, finally, the staff, the location, the vibe: All really first-rate. I'll probably come back, if I ever recover from the bait'n'switch sticker shock. (But I'll steer clear of the chili and opt to dine on the patio, if that's available!)

We were seated at a table in far end of the room. Once seated it's hard to get in and out from the wall seat because the table are pretty close together. I ordered the Spinach, Mushroom and Swiss 4 Egg Omelet. They asked me if I wanted 2 or 4 eggs and I chose 4. As a substitute for the potatoes, I opted to choose the avocado which came as a slice 1/2 of avocado. For my toast option, I chose the single pancake, but could also have chosen a scone. The scone wasn't on the menu as a option, so I missed this when I ordered. My omelet was very flavorful, although a bit dense. I attributed that to the 4 eggs fitting into a 2 egg form factor, but I really don't know that for sure. The avocado was a good complement to the omelet and worked out very well. The pancake was delicious. There was syrup on the table and butter came on the plate. I gobbled it right down and thought that I maybe should have got another one. I have eaten here before when I was in the area, and will likely return again when up here. The busy nature of the restaurant is offset by the good quality food.

Had tons of ham, cheese, carrots, tomato and cucumber. They didn't skimp on any of it. It was packed today and we still got a table right away. It is a perfect little mountain diner decorated with pictures for sale taken by a local photographer. Very cool way to display the artists photos. We sat on the patio with our two toddlers and dog. There were a lot of flies and it was a bit hot but we wanted to be outside so that is on us! The flowers surrounding the restaurant are so pretty. We spent a moment admiring the fuzzy bumble bees before leaving. The food was good too. I got the special BLT. I can't remember the exact name but it had sprouts and avocado in addition to the BLT part. I put some fry sauce on it and it was delish! The sweet potato fries were great too. My husband said they were better than the regular ones he ordered. He got a burger and he said it was average (not bad, not mind blowing). My 3 year old enjoyed a plate of 3 small pancakes and bacon. He said it was "really good"! We visit Kamas a lot for our camping adventures, and we will definitely be back! It was slightly more pricey than average; we paid $55 for two entrees, a kids meal, and an iced tea (with a tip). Not crazy expensive but a little more than comparable diners (e.g. Blackbear Diner).
