Then she took a break and my journey to find a new LMT was very difficult. If you've had a few bad massages, you know the pain isn't just physical. It can also affect you mentally/physically. I felt like I could get no relief and had to start acupuncture and PT (both are great) but always felt something missing (and my achy neck/shoulders/back is a constant reminder). So I was overjoyed (to tears amidst childlike giddiness) to stumble on Kathleen's reopening of Simple Gifts and in my fave little Old Town EC. Kathleen takes the time to understand your specific needs, comfort level, preferences, and any quirks. She takes the time to get acquainted thus giving you the best massage experience. And when I say that she takes the time, she does NOT take it out of your scheduled massage time! You get the time you booked. No one else has helped me feel so relaxed, sleep better, fall asleep while getting a massage and even have a wonderful emotional experience while being massaged. I was under the impression that they were more expensive than other places but once I began my membership I realized I was completely wrong. I automatically pay each month for a 60min massage and I can add additional massages at the membership rate if I get impatient and need another massage inbetween my regular appointments. I accidentally scheduled my appointment with Joe when I made my initial appointment and am so glad for that! He is amazing! When I say accidentally, I just mean that I intended to schedule with a female therapist but then selected an appointment time on Joe's schedule. They called me to confirm if that was okay and I just rolled with it. I have been seeing him at least once a month ever since. I have been getting massages since before I even had a license. Joe is the most consistent therapist I ever had. I prefer deep tissue massages and I get just that...for the entire 60 minutes unlike some massages where only here and there feels good. Joe is professional and always checks in before each session to determine if there are any specific spots he should focus on. Prior to leaving I always get my next appointment on the calendar. The customer service here is great. Because they are super small and don't always have someone at the desk, I typically have to leave a message when calling. I always receive a call back within the hour. I have had to call to reschedule an appointment or two and never had an issue. I highly recommend checking them out. If you are a deep tissue person, give Joe a try!

I was intrigued to try the Lymphatic Sinus Detox so I scheduled one and anxiously awaited the day. First impressions: beautiful space. Light, colorful and good energy all around. Judy, the owner greeted me with a warm hug. She then escorted me to a room, pulled up a chair and we talked about everything you could imagine as it pertain to my body and my health. I sincerely appreciated that. So often companies are tethered to remain timely. I didn't feel that with Judy. She seemed genuine in her concern about me. She made some recommendations about what I should add to my diet, and different types of foods to consume, etc. I changed out of my clothes and the lights were lowered and the service begun with an easy to understand explanation of what would occur over the next hour or so. The lymphatic sinus detox was all of that! I kept my eyes closed during the entire treatment. She used all sorts of tools (none of which was anything but soothing) consisting of strokes and massages, stones and utensils....who know what?! But I can tell you this, it was magical! After the treatment, I felt like a younger version of myself. In fact, over the next few days I was even sleeping better! I'm not sure if the detox directly had anything to do with the but I'm claiming it! I feel better! She gave me warm salt water - yep, the RIGHT type of salt is good for the system and we continued to talk for a little bit more. The services were so good, I got a gift card for a friend, and a salt rock for myself. It's a different type of massage but one that I know anyone would love. I've referred so many people already!!
