This lovely holistic spot has a little bit of everything for everybody. They offer physical therapy, massages, facials, colonics, cupping, tarot card, reading, etc. etc... In addition to their services they also have a healthy food and juice bar on location. The place is beautiful, clean and serene. I decided to have a facial in a room that was rented by an aesthetician. She was great she took great care of me and understood what I wanted in my facial. She provides an in depth skin consultation before getting into the facial. I recommend going platinum because you can't go wrong with an all-in-one experience to get cleansed, exfoliated, hydrated, and light therapy! Nourishing Journey, a friend suggested that I go for my service. What added to this awesomness was a discount offered by an online program. Winner indeed. At my friend's suggestion, I emailed for an appointment time, correspondence was quick and efficient. My appointment was scheduled within two days. NJ is not easily seen from the road, it is in a small what I presume office park behind other stores, in the Atholton Square complex. There is a small sign outside of the suite. Once inside, a quaint space awaits. I believe most of the services are on the second floor. My experience, which was quite intimidating initially, turned out to be awesome. Rosemary took really great care of me and provided me with great education, and understanding. She went out of her was to ensure my comfort, and to sooth my concerns. I went there for a colonics treatment and was greeted pleasantly by Jasmin... did the treatment and was somewhat satisfied with the session (which had everything to do with my body) however other staff members were not nice at all. I was somewhat looking around when i was leaving and saw a staff member in the lounge, I guess. They looked right at me and never asked if they could help me or anything. Then I went to the front desk to check out... she never smiled or asked how my session was... I go to spas ALL OVER THE WORLD and they ALWAYS ask how everything went. She just spoke of the payment and then never said bye/have a nice day/kiss my a$$ nothing. She left it with "OK" and sounded really irritated. I do understand that every job have their ups and downs, but to take it out on a paying customer is just unacceptable. I really hope they get their act together. read more

So far I've only visited the cafe section, but they have lots of healthy options especially for dietary restrictions (vegan, gluten free, keto, etc). The food and smoothies have been so delicious and the employees are very kind and welcoming. This was my first time trying Reiki and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I figured any practice that helped rebalance energy and promote positive energy flow was a good thing. Located off Guilford road in a plaza that seems catered to a few medical practices, Nourishing Journey was quite easy to find and parking is not an issue. This establishment also has a cafe attached to it which offers healthy smoothies and some sandwiches. My session lasted about 50mins and I actually dozed off because I was feeling relaxed. It is hard to properly assess this session because as you can imagine, energy flows/pathways vary from person to person. I didn't miraculously feel lighter in spirit or suddenly energized. It was $120 which I thought was way too steep, not advertised openly and there is a penalty for late cancellations. Would I try Reiki again at this location? No. I would rather use the money getting acupuncture and a nice lunch. read more

I found out about this place through Groupon. I always like testing out local spots and this spa got great reviews. I booked a facial with Schweta on my birthday for a relaxing afternoon away from the kids. The day prior, I got a phone call from Schweta asking to reschedule for the following week. Not great, but I can understand that life happens. The day of my rescheduled apt, I showed up 10 minutes early, was given paperwork to fill out and was ready for my apt time. 15 minutes later, I was still sitting in the lobby with no indication of what was going on. No one offered me a beverage or any explanation what was going on. Finally Schweta showed up and brought me to the room. The facial itself was good, she seemed knowledgeable. I had brought up that I would like my pores cleansed and she did her best however she mentioned that clearing up whiteheads would be too time consuming and I would have to come back. Again, I understood. However, she spent a good 5-10 minutes talking about her homemade products she had for sale which to be honest, was inappropriate. I don't want to be paying for a sales pitch, she could've mentioned them after the appointment time. Then, the appointment ended on time so I essentially got 15 minutes knocked off from my service time (due to her tardiness) plus all the time spent talking. She also mentioned at the end that she could've added an extra serum to my face but it was late and she was "feeling lazy". All in all, I payed for an hour facial and got maybe 35-40 minutes of actual service. Facials aren't cheap and as a mother, I don't get a lot of time to just spoil myself. They also have a beautiful courtyard area outside the building which made our visit pleasant. In addition, they have an extensive menu of smoothie drinks in their cafe. Great experience at Nourishing Journey this weekend. I had a delicious detox smoothie from the cafe before my message. The establishment is serene, clean, and beautifully decorated. My massage therapist was Jessica. She was kind, genuine, and calming. She asked about my needs and took time to listen and execute. One of my Christmas gifts was a Groupon for a 60 minute hot stone massage at this place. I had never received a hot stone massage before, but Jessica was great and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. It's a nice place inside. I like the decor. I give it 4 stars because I had to call the place a couple times before I realized that the only way to get through to someone is by leaving a message. The good thing is that they called back in a timely fashion after I left the message, but I would have appreciated if I got to speak to someone the first 3 times I tried calling, especially if the business advertises 9-5 being its administrative hours. The place was warm and kind. They recently moved so there was some construction going on but that was not a problem. I got lymphatic massage from this one lady (i don't wanna mention her name cause i don't wanna get her in trouble). My personal preference for massage atmosphere is quietness. She talked a lot - she asked me lots of question and she went on her personal lives. It was nice of her to share her life but i really was tired of interacting with her. I just wanted quiet and calm massage. maybe she felt need to talk to me because i was being quiet but that's the way some people enjoy massage. For massage skill, she was not amazing either. She talked too much that she spent like 5 minutes explaining about something and I was thinking like "okay you are wasting my 5 minutes" and then later she was like "i'm not sure if we have enough time". I was trying to be nice but that pissed me off. Overall, i can see they are very nice people but that one lady just threw me off and I'll not go here again. read more

Nourishing journey is a good concept but sadly represents why so many people prefer big businesses to nickel and diming small businesses with owners so tight and stringent that service and customer satisfaction gets loss. I found this place to be horrible at first, then tried it again and it was much better due to one employee but sadly it just got worst after that and when I interacted with the owners I was put off completely. I wasn't sure who was the customer in the conversation and whether she called to accuse or correct. With that said its without questions they do not accept feedback well, nor realize remaking a smoothie will cost them $12 but ultimately wins them over $1200 in satisfied customer referrals with word of mouth marketing. I definitely wouldn't recommend. They have a lot of growing to do and I think with their attitude to customers, The journey will be long if they even last. Not worth it, waste of Time and to be frank there is much better out there than to even bother with this place. read more

Jessica's massages are very incredible and as a massage therapist myself, I tend to be a harsh critique. She has a wide selection from regular Swedish, therapeutic, aromatherapy and so on. Her couple massage class is a great way to bring couples together. I purchased a Groupon for a massage. It is located in a nondescript townhouse looking office building in Columbia, there are no markings or signs on the buildings so you have to go by the "suite" number. Zina did a great job on my massage, and provided the right amount of pressure. She was so good I went back, and plan on going back again. One negative is that they wont let you put your tip on a credit card, which i found suspicious. Another negative is that if you book an evening appointment you may leave and find you are the only person in the parking lot. I am reviewing the cafe. I purchased a Groupon which had 3 vouchers. My first experience was horrible, it was an afternoon and brought a few kids with me on our way to soccer. The attendant a male was horrible, he made a smoothie that contained items we were allergic to, we asked for a mango smoothie and we believe he made the mango sunrise and after we complained he remade another but on the way to practice I had an allergic reaction and we believe it may be something in the original smoothie. My daughter enjoyed her smoothie so much we decided to try one more time. So happy we did because it was an entirely different experience, Taylor was excellent. She was professional and thorough. She made a breakfast melt to remember and another pink smoothie. Everything was excellent and we left full and pleased. We returned the following day and got the very small items again. We highly recommend the cafe and will try the spa services. We applaud Taylor as she is undoubtedly an asset. When you visit definitely try the pink smoothie. It's something to write home about! Wow it was a real experience coming here. I understand most people leaving reviews may have came for massages or acupuncture pressure but I actually went for the colon hydrotherapy! Okay so first off I will say it is a bit hard to find due to the area looking like townhouses but it's actually a center full of businesses and suites. Upon entrance there was nobody at the first floor, I felt a bit out of place lingering trying to find people or employees but then I heard voices and followed the voices upstairs and went up and seen two people. So the process of colon hydrotherapy is so different than what you would see if you YouTube the experience. This facility does not have you lay on your side and them insert the tube. I actually sat up, placed the stick inside and laid down, facing up. I admit it is very awkward depending on comfort level but the experience can best be described as diarrhea and cramps. The employee who assisted me was a massage therapist there and was nice. There just tended to be a great amount of awkwardness. I do recommend having a scale to record before and afters so it allows clients to weigh themselves to actually see the difference in weight of colon/toxins being removed. Also perhaps doing more sessions on the first floor rather than upstairs so that clients won't feel lost when entering and having to find their way up. I had a notable experience and recommend all to try it at some point of their lives! If you do just remember to RELAX! read more

I enjoyed the footbath, the massage and the infrared sauna. The only issue I had was there were no type of showers available. They had baby wipes and a herbal spray to wipe off afterwards. No shower. The infrared sauna make you sweat and for me being able to shower should go along with a sauna experience. Overall a pleasant experience. 3/5 stars. read more
