Amendment: Corey the manager called and rectified our situation. He made great effort to help us. He was on top of whatever we needed to make the situation right. We called ahead to Saginaw Surplus about a specific door we needed for our house. The person on the phone said they had it in stock, and the website showed the same--so we drove over an hour to get there. When we arrived, we found out they didn't have the correct swing door after all. The employee we spoke with admitted he hadn't actually checked before confirming over the phone. When he finally got up to look, he just said there was nothing he could do--no offer to order one in, no attempt to help us find a solution, nothing. The attitude was dismissive, and it was clear they didn't want to make any effort to help. Overall, it was a complete waste of time and gas. We won't be going back and definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Make sure to inspect your doors before taking possession of them. It's hard to get them to cover warranty issues.

Technically, refusing the doors at pick up would be a refund or exchange, since the doors were paid for 2 weeks prior. I am confused as you stated no refunds/exhanges. I told your salesman the doors were for a new house we having built. When we picked up the doors they were wrapped in cardboard. We gave them to our builder, who put the doors in storage until the doors were installed, hence for the delay. We should have read the part on the receipt stating your 80" doors are actually 77" in height. When went to Home Depot and ordered a replacement for the French Doors. The salesman mentioned we needed 60 x 82, not 60 x 80. Your salesman NEVER mentioned that important fact. As far as the Pet Door, No we did not know about the different style of doggie doors nor were we informed. We assumed we would receive a professional constructed door. Instead we received a exterior panel door with a single panel insert, typically for homeowners to ease the burden of trying to cut out the smaller hole and give more of a professional look, covering the exterior door raised panels. For $540.00 we expected a professional door as seen on your website (see post) and as we saw on your showroom floor. ( Too bad that door wasnt the size we needed on the floor that day) I could have bought an exterior panel door and the doggie door, cut out the door opening myself for less than 300. I would recommend your doors on the showroom floor but never any special order doors. read more

Update: Corey from Saginaw did reach out to us and began regular communication. Between covid, hurricanes and personnel shortages, our doors were held up by a few weeks beyond the original delivery date. Also, apparently Saginaw had an issue with their phone system that prevented them from receiving messages. Picking up the doors tomorrow. We're very pleased with the price and quality of the other doors we purchased. We hope we're equally pleased with the ones that were special ordered. read more

I have been trying to Purchase a Door from them over the phone for 2 days.... it started off great and Derick was very helpful he needed to see a measurement so I took one and tried to call him back on his Extension and he will not answer / return calls...... The doors we ordered were very nice. The price absolutely couldn't be beaten. I have no complaints about our doors. However, the customer service was atrocious! We literally could not reach them once on the phone. And we tried calling plenty of times and left numerous messages. What kind of business doesn't ever answer their phone during normal business hours?!? These people! All communication with them had to be done in person at their warehouse in Saginaw - and we don't live anywhere near there. So if your choose to buy from them be prepared to make trips out there and don't expect to be able to reach anyone over the phone. read more

We had a great experience here! We came in looking for new exterior doors. We were greeted and told that we were welcome to wander around the warehouse and to come back if we had any questions. I loved the fact that the salesman didn't follow us around and allowed us time to look. We found two amazing doors at ridiculously low cost. The salesman we worked with, Angel, was very nice and professional! He helped us order the doors we needed with the correct swing and we were in and out. We were told we would have our doors in two weeks. Only one door was special order. Still waiting for all doors this is going on eight weeks! We are in the middle of a new build the house has been dried in for four weeks now. Terrible service. They lied and told us it's Manufacturing but we know they forgot to place our order. Bought front and back doors from them, everything was good. I have been trying for three days to buy 18 interior doors, not so good. Sent them an email with the specs, and got a quote back by email. The quote for 15 of those was for the wrong doors, and all with the wrong hinge colors. I called Derrick and told him about the mistake yesterday. He said he would send a new quote before they closed at 6:00 pm. It never arrived, so I have called and emailed him today, but can't get a response from him. I also called and got the sales departments extension to see if maybe Derrick was sick or on his day off. Waited forever and it finally went to a general mail box. Left a detailed message, and guess what, no one called me back. After seeing other reviews, I see I'm not the first customer to have this kind of experience. read more

I bought a solid Mahogany Wood door with sidelights. After receiving it and installing it I noticed the trim pieces were missing that cover the joints between the side lights and the door. Adrian the store manager swore he, himself saw the (nail-in) installation of them. I sent pics showing no glue or nail holes, but he still accused me or my crew of removing them. They are 2 hours away roundtrip for me and he finally, after a lot of convincing, said I could come pick them up and install them myself. No apology or attempt to make it right by sending them with an installer..until I asked for the owner's contact info. Then he was willing to send someone. He still wont give me the info on the owner. I would never do business with these people again. Terribly rude and unhelpful. My door was 2 weeks late, as well. No sense of customer service and very hard to deal with. read more
