I spent days reading review after review after review searching for a local dermatology office that wasn't going to push cosmetic surgery, creams, lotions and programs I finally stumbled upon Saguaro. I was surprised at all of the praise he had received and thought it was too good to be true. BUT IT WAS! It has been decades since the last time I didn't feel rushed when having the Doctor's attention. He was incredible patient, respectful, informative and just down right amazing! You will leave the appointment wishing you could be his next best friend! Since we pay for everything out of pocket, it was refreshing to find the office visit reasonable - very reasonable! Finally, unrelated to his office - I would encourage all to check with goodrx.com to have their prescriptions filled. Walgreens wanted $250, Basha's wanted $450. With goodrx, we paid $42! read more

I need my meds and these people don't care. So I had gone in a couple times and was diagnosed with a condition that's INCURABLE but it is treatable. With that being said it with my condition it come and goes I'll have 4 good months then a bad month, then a good month, then a bad month and then 5 more good months. So I don't constantly have to go to the doctor. So needed a prescription I called to get one and they said they have to see me once a year.... Okay yea, health policies, procedures, rules and regulations yea yea I get it. I currently don't have health insurance and I pay out of pocket. So all I need is my meds & I don't need a check up. So I don't really want to spend money for the Mr Carsten or Dathan guy to say oh yea you still have your ailment that I said you had and oh an here's a script. Then I also have to go an buy the meds out of pocket too. People look, first time I ever went there I asked how much an appointment would be and they couldn't give me a straight answer which already made me mad. That's like you going into a grocery store and ask how much is this orange juice and they say we'll figure out when you check out it all depends on who you are we don't have a set orange juice price... WHAT?! And both appointments were different prices... I had to fight to get them to match the previous price. So for a solution, that doesn't rob customers if you have a patients with small, life long conditions who don't need a damn check up twice or even once a year really and they just need their topical medication you should have another appointment category and different price for that appointment. It could be called the "oh yea you still have what I diagnosed you with and all you need is a prescription for your INCURABLE condition appointment". I'll even take a 50 dollar speedy existing condition confirmation/ prescription exam appointment cause after that I still have to go buy the medication. With all that being said I maybe wouldn't have wrote this review but I did cause I honestly just get the feeling these people don't care about you and your well being and can make you feel like YOUR wasting THEIR time by being there. Feels like they care about their "saguaro" name more than it's patients inside, when in reality it's patients that make the practice you goofballs. So you should be nicer, more compassionate and caring and listen to your patients. Cause you guys aren't serving food, smiles, drinks and a good time you're servicing people who have problems, conditions, concerns and worries. So if you guys have a problem with people then you're ALLLLLLL in the wrong industry. I'll even help & We can think of a solution together if you truly DO care I just can't and shan't pay you 200 or 250 dollars or whatever price you feel like charging that day to give me a prescription that I need... Wow! Amazing! This was my first visit to Saguaro Dermatology. I contracted a SEVERE case of poison ivy 2 weeks ago in Houston, TX in my daughter's backyard. It has gotten progressively worse. recently I called the Saguaro Dermatology to make an appointment as I had an issue with the growth on my back. This would be my first time visit to this office and I explained that I was handicap and needed an easy access accommodate my mobility. I email the office, explained my situation and almost immediately received a response that they could see me within a day or so. Although I did not complete the appointment I was very impressed with the way they handled me as a new patient and needing an appointment on short notice. Had my first appointment yesterday after having a disappointing experience at a different dermatologist. Everyone who works there was extremely nice but not in a fake way. The doctor went through different treatment options, starting with the least invasive. I liked that he was thinking about how the treatments would affect me and my daily routine. He also made sure to tell me exactly what I was in for with the treatment, a medical chemical peel for possible pre-cancerous cells. He was not only very professional but totally put me at ease and offered a couple of different options for what he found on my skin (I am a lifelong son worshipper with tons of exposure over the course of my life). I found him to be very transparent and totally willing to work with you where you are at and what you feel comfortable doing. And I was pleasantly surprised that he didn't prescribe any unnecessary procedures (which, due to it being a complimentary visit, I half expected he would "find something that needed freezing or something else". Dr. Harman took out a cyst on our first meeting. I'd lived with it for years as other drs just "looked" at it. Although I was not prepared for the pain of the recovery (it was large and it was surgery) I am happy he removed it and got that monster off my back. Just make sure to ask him about post op process.. it was longer and more painful than I expected...2 weeks. Dr. H has great bedside manner and is a smart, confident Dr.. He wasn't rushed at all, answered all of my questions, and walked me through multiple options that best fit what I wanted. I was heading on vacation and didn't want to worry about it while I was out of town. Dr. Hamann was extremely professional and thorough with his exam, taking measurements and photos to compare when I return in 30 days. His medical assistant, Alyssa, was very helpful by calling in my prescription to my favorite pharmacy so I could pick it up on my way home from work. First off, I was very glad I was able to make an appointment quickly. I had an appointment set up for two days after I called. Once I got to the office, it was very clean and open and I was seen really quickly (within 5 minutes of arrival) by the doctor. I came in due to a mole I found on my scalp that looked weird to me. I met with the dermatologist and he looked at it with his magnifying tool and he reassured me it was perfectly normal and he also told me scalp moles typically have a different appearance than moles on other parts of the body. He also gave me a topical prescription for acne at my request even though that wasn't the main reason why I came. He also gave me samples of the medication. He repeatedly asked me if there were any other questions I had. I didn't feel rushed but I was still out really fast, which is my ideal type of doctor visit :) I will definitely be coming here for any skin related issues in the future. read more

Dr Hamman and his assistant were awesome. Very nice, friendly, professional, and always made sure I was comfortable. They answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease, normally I get really nervous with medical stuff. I went in to get my moles checked/removed and a skin tag removed. surprised how quick and easy the process was! They were able to numb me and remove 2 in my first visit (Didn't need any others removed). I feel like I was in and out in 30 minutes! (But never rushed). I didn't feel a thing! Just a couple small pricks when they injected the numbing medicine. They also offered to show me pricing estimates before they did anything, ive never had a doctor be so kind to offer to go over pricing beforehand! Also very affordable in my opinion. I visited the office once almost a year ago. I followed all of the steps in terms of insurance as this visit is covered by my provider. I continue to receive bills in the mail for I'm not even sure what and every time I call the office they either don't answer or tell me the billing lady isn't in. I've called my insurance and they have reported to me that this office has never even tried to submit the payment through them. Dr. Carsten provided treatment for a condition I have had for years for which I had had no relief. This has completely remitted. There are no words to describe the relief. Dr. Dathan Hamann, MD is the best Doctor I have received care from in any field. He is a doctor who isn't in a hurry and actually spends time with you. Last year he diagnosed my Allergic Eczema, and found the cause. I just followed up with him yesterday and had a Skin Cancer screening (I am at risk, having had Melanoma in the past.) He noticed some precancerous areas and prescribed a medical grade peel cream i can use at home! That's the least invasive way to start.
