I've been coming here for quite some time and I thoroughly understand when you lose technicians, however, time is valuable that's why you make appointments, I truly do not have time to spare and the last couple of times I have been here I have had to wait 20 to 40 minutes for my "scheduled" appointment. Not to mention this last time, my nails look terrible. The two people I have been going to for several months are no longer there. I feel like if you own a nail shop all of your technicians should know how to do nails and pedicures. It should be standard, especially with the business like that. The girl doing my nails , i think her name was sonia, didnt even attach the acrylic nails to my natural nails. This was my first visit to Saguaro, I absolutely love my nails, the attention to detail was great and it was so nice to have someone listen to what you want! It was a bit pricey in my opinion, but... walking out thrilled means so much and I'll pay for that if it's consistent (I'll need to come back and update because I fail the recall the name of the gal that did my nails and pedicure) I encourage you to walk in with a vision or photo of ideas for your nails and share it! My bet is someone there can do it! I also had a pedicure, which was a nice one. It was not the best I've had but very enjoyable. I realize all people have their own style and preference... I liked that she asked me if the pressure was good and she wanted to have it nice for me. There is a beverage bar (non alcoholic) with sodas, slushes and?? Available. I went in to get my nails and toes done on January 30th and requested a soak off but I'm guessing they don't do those. They used a tool to shave the gel polish off of my toes. While getting them done it did burn a little but I figured he just cut it a little short or something(getting my nails done at the same time so it was hard to pay attention to both). Left happy but a little sore... I ended up seeing discoloration under the polish and started to pick at it and saw red!! I took off my freshly painted toe nails and finally went to urgent care and the doctors said no fungus but they were definitely way too rough and caused damaged:( so sad read more

I was really excited when they opened a Saguaro location here because I didn't want to keep driving all the way to Westgate. Since I live nearby, I started coming here--but I never get what I ask for. I've tried multiple nail techs, and they never seem to get it right. I always ask for a deep French tip, and even after explaining it multiple times, they don't listen. I came in for a fill and somehow ended up paying more than I did for a full set, even though I got the same style--just a different color. The place itself is beautiful, but the quality of work is disappointing. At this point, I'd rather drive back to Westgate to get decent results than keep wasting money here. read more

I've been going to Saguaro Nails & Spa for about a year. I see Trish and she has always done great work on my pedicures. I'm not very kind to my feet. I walk barefoot a lot and have a tile floor in my home. I'm trying to be better about wearing socks and slippers, but I'm so glad Trish is great at removing calluses. The salon itself is nice. There are ample pedicure stations and manicure stations; and the place seemed clean. I went with a friend of mine and we got the same $30 pedicure package. Our pedicures started at the same time, but mine was finished a good 15 minutes before my friend's pedicure. The woman I had tried to uncharge me with additional services. My friend didn't get solicited that way and she hadn't had a pedicure in over 3 months; whereas I had one somewhere else 2 weeks prior. One of the suggested services was a 'callous remover'. First off, I don't have callouses. Second, she didn't even touch the bottom of my right foot...so what good would a callouses remover have done? She also didn't properly remove the color from my previous pedicure. So now my nails have a darker ring around the nail from my current color where the old color was. Also on my right foot, she completely missed the tip of one of my nails, so the toe looks like it chipped or missing color in one spot. My friends pedicure looked great. This woman who did my pedicure was not good, leaving me feel like I was ripped off. Update - After having the tires replaced, our car felt "off". After driving 100 miles, I couldn't stop the nagging feeling that something was wrong. Took my car someplace else and was told the tires weren't balanced correctly. I specifically asked about this when I purchased the tires at Firestone. Just another reason to AVOID this place! read more

Came into business a month prior to appointment, and was quoted $20 total for a simple nail design (just polish, not gel, on natural nails). Arrive on day of appointment (they never scheduled the appointment apparently so I am waiting for a bit) and they tell me that they can only do it with gel polish, and they don't tell me a price (my fault for not asking). The gal starts painting my nails and it looks WAY worse than the pic I'm providing so we change to an EVEN SIMPLER design. I ask multiple times for a solid color base so you can't see the white part of the nail by the cuticle. They keep refusing just put more and mor clear coat that has a pink-ish hue. Finally after all of this is done they tell me my total is $50! What a scam!! This operation is misleading and unhelpful in every way possible. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! read more

Stopped by and asked for a walk-in pedicure. It was Saturday so I wasn't surprised that it was a long wait. The man working the front desk suggested I try another day and make an appointment. Totally understandable! So, a few weeks later I made an appointment for a pedicure and went in. My appointment time was 11am. I, admittedly, was about 10min late. No problem, so about 11:20 or so I was taken back. Immediately what sticks out about this place is the customer service. From on the phone, to the front desk, to the techs. It was so refreshing compared to local salons these days!! However, I'm still not sure I will return. Why? Well, the pedicure I received just wasn't that great above others I've received. The massage- fantastic- they set timers so you know you get the full promised time. The polish application? Eh, so-so, for the price I paid. Nail services are a luxury service, they aren't cheap. So I don't expect to leave with a cheap application. So what's more important? The experience while you're in the chair or the product you leave the salon with? I'm in between on this one! read more

Jason did my birthday nails so close to perfect He (along with all the other staff!) was so kind and always made sure I was comfortable and that none of the filing down hurt + checked in frequently to make sure I liked the design. The interior is chic and clean, and everyone's vibe was so lovely. The pricing is more than fair, as well! So happy to have found this place in AZ while visiting family, and will definitely be back!! I had the most painful experience getting the gel X removed from my nails at the salon. The technician practically filed my nail off and snagged the side of my fingers continuously. It was so bad that the technician next to us tried to offer his help by recommending a softer file for her Dremel. She refused his recommendation and probably said something pretty nasty about the fact that I flinched three different times because it was so painful. I originally wanted her to give me a manicure. I ended up asking her just to stop after she was done removing the gel. I did not want that woman coming anywhere near me with clippers at this point. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I went to pay, I explained to the front desk person that this was the most painful experience and my nails looked and felt awful. All he had to say was "sorry" and told me it would be $15.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have never in my life, walked out of a nail salon and not tipped, but this time was different. So I work in the trades and need my nails done often. This was my first time coming to Saguaro Nails & Spa. I got what I always get... powder dipped French tip manicure. I came straight from work so my nails were wrecked. I prefer to pay $60 to have a professional clean and dip them than for me to dip them at home. At the end, I asked "hey can you clean my nails and cut my cuticles?..." they said it would be $6 then another guy said $10 extra. I was like... wait, what did I just agree to $60 for? I thought I was getting my nails done. This is my first time ever experiencing "getting my nails done" but not really getting them done. They just dipped my nails without cleaning them. Just dip and used the little drill to shave around... there is now dirt under the dip around my cuticles...lol. Umm... I came to this salon bc it's closer to my house than the other salon I typically go to that charges $55 to DO MY NAILS. Anyway, if you ask for French tips, or acrylics or powder dip which I thought all fall under a type of manicure... know that they won't clean them. Apparently a "manicure" is different from getting your nails dipped. I thought, THANK GOODNESS I washed my hands before he started... LOL bc coming from work, my hands were pretty dirty and all of that would've been under the powder dip. Go to Happy Nails and Spa off dysart in Avondale. Regardless of what you want done to your nails, they will give you a manicure all included in the price they tell you it'll cost for whatever you ask. They charge only $55 for a powder dipped French tip MANICURE. Lol I almost got a pedicure after my nails but I was like "WAIT... what is a pedicure here????!!" Sad to say, this is why I stopped paying good money for mani pedis. I paid for the pedicure that had the callus removal. The place is new and clean. But I requested and made clear that I wanted all my toes and fingernails as short as possible and square and even, I even asked him to fix the one big toe because it was round,, it's still round. All nails are uneven. I still have hangnails and my cuticle are not pushed back or removed. I feel like I could have done a way better job, and I'm not good at it at all :( read more
