We ordered a family pack of popcorn and took it back to our Airbnb to keep the movie-night vibes going. Vacation mode + comfy seats + intense thriller = perfect night.

We came here on Thanksgiving evening after our family coming down the the stomach bug that was going around the valley... so we weren't prepared for a normal Thanksgiving meal etc... so we opted to dine out and attend a movie. It was actually sooo nice to relax and enjoy the holiday and not have to cook and clean all day. We saw the Moana 2 movie. Theatre was packed as well. Lines for concessions were long too. So if you plan to do that- arrive early. They had many cash register attendees, but they stay busy. We recommend this location, it's clean, new, nice staff and we will be coming back again.

You can adjust it however you'd like and make it so you can put your feet up. The parking lot is also pretty spacious so there should always be plenty of parking and the theater has plenty of good films to choose from. However, if you come here at night be very cautious in the parking lot as it can be pretty dark and it's easy to get lost too if you don't know where you parked. But I would still recommend going to this theater to watch any movie that is currently showing. Give it a shot.

I know streaming movies from the comforts of home is a big thing these days. But I still love going…read moreto the movies! I am also a big fan of Harkins Theatres. My brother worked for Harkins back in high school and I got into a lot of free movies back then. I saw all the big blockbuster movies back in the 1990s at the old Cine Capri in Phoenix and the Camelview 5 in Scottsdale. I am all about the movie experience, especially movies that have a lot of action and special effects. I still enjoy dinner and a movie date nights. This Harkins location is in North Scottsdale right off the 101 and has plenty of parking and restaurants all around. I was recently in the area and caught the latest "Superman" movie in the CINÉ XL theater. Harkins Theatres Scottsdale 101 14 has 14 screens and all the updated stuff like stadium seating and electronic reclining seats. The CINÉBAR has a variety of wines and rotating craft beers. Food can be ordered ahead of time on the Harkins mobile app. A Cine Capri-style auditorium was built at Scottsdale 101 in 2003. It is called CINÉ XL and has an extra large screen, a gold curtain that opens up before the movie begins and Dolby Atmos sound with a 4K laser projection. There is also a small Cine Capri museum here with pictures of the old theater in Phoenix. I like going to Harkins Theatres because they offer the best deals for a regular movie goer like myself. I'm part of the My Harkins Awards program where you get discounts after so many visits. They have an annual Popcorn Perks program where you can get 36 medium popcorns for a year for $40 (one popcorn per visit). I also purchase the loyalty cup and get my $3 refillable drink at each show. I save on admission price by seeing most of my movies during matinee hours. Going to the movies doesn't have to be expensive if you look for the deals. Sometimes the concession lines can be long at Harkins. A lot of young folks work at Harkins and can be a little slow at times. Plus certain people bog up the lines because they order way too much food and snacks for a two hour movie. But I still enjoy my movie experience and what Harkins Theatres has to offer.

My wife and I came to Sawmill Theatres because, at the time, they were showing a movie our local…read moretheatre wasn't. Immediately I was impressed. The building itself was well-kept(no litter randomly flying around in the wind), the inside of the building smelled nice and fresh, and the staff were extremely friendly and professional. Buying the tickets was a breeze, as well as getting snacks. My wife usually has a difficult time picking out the type of snacks she'd like, and the concession woman was very patient and helpful, and though she upsold me on a large drink, she was very polite and friendly about it. When we(the audience) were waiting for the show to begin, the temperature was a little higher than was comfortable, yet the staff was right on top of it, making sure everyone was extremely comfortable, and to let them know if anything else was required of them. The quality of the seats, as well as the inside of the theatre itself was beyond gorgeous, and overall, we felt we had definitely more than gotten our money's worth. If you ever have a chance to visit the Sawmill Theatre in Payson, AZ for a movie, I HIGHLY suggest it. You won't regret it.
