We went on the 9am brunch cruise. This was Buffett style service that went pretty smooth. The eggs were amazing, potatoes were perfect, and the ham is as good as any ham can get. There is a small bar downstairs where we got a couple of mimosas. The cruise around the lake is peaceful and there is a lot to look at. About the parking, if you are a first responder or veteran, it's a no hassle situation to park for free. I just showed my badge as we pulled up and they waved us through. My husband and I took the Wine & Cheese Sunset Cruise and absolutely loved it! The staff are so welcoming and friendly, which creates such a comfortable & relaxing experience. We enjoyed the fact that it was adults only. The live band was excellent - played music that came from our genre! Choose between a sightseeing cruise, live music brews cruise, sunset dinner cruise, or live music sunset cruises. The cruises run Wednesday thru Sunday in May. I took my mom for a mother/daughter adventure on a Wednesday afternoon sightseeing cruise. You'll park at Pleasant Harbor and hop a ride down the docks on a shuttle cart (bring some cash for tips). We arrived early to enjoy lunch and drinks at Dillon's before our 2pm cruise. Check in 30 minutes prior and then set off for 90 minutes on the water. Adults are $30, kids $15, toddlers free. On the boat, you can sit inside on the main level or up top and outside. Grab some snacks and a beverage from the bar to really luxuriate. The captain narrates the cruise and gives great information about the lake, the dam, and the wildlife. As for wildlife, we saw a few bird species and wild burros on shore. I decided to take my wife ona sunset lake pleasant cruise for a date night. The reservations/tickets online were easy to purchase. The cruise offered charcuterie cups and you could purchase more ahead of time. There was also a full bar. All in all, we had a wonderful evening. Best part is no children allowed. Lake Pleasant Cruises offers a few different types of cruises which are perfect for a unique date idea or family day out. We went on one of their Narrated sightseeing tours. The cruise lasts for an hour and a half & covers about ten miles of the lake. While you are cruising around the lake the captain will talk to you about the lake itself along with some of the local wildlife & plant life that can be found at the lake. It is highly recommended that you arrive at least forty-five minutes before your cruise time, this is to ensure you make it to the boat on time. The closest parking to the marina is a 5-10 minutes walk depending on how fast you walk so they have a shuttle service to pick up passengers. Each cart can hold up to five people so it may take a few trips to get everyone down to the marina. All of the shuttle drivers were friendly & the short ride was enjoyable. The boat is quite large & has two levels where you can enjoy the views. You can choose to be on the upper level which is open or the lower level which is inside. On the lower level you will also find a small bar which has alcoholic drinks, non-alcoholic drinks and snacks available for purchase. Everything was very reasonably priced. There are also two bathrooms and a small sitting/standing area on the front of the boat. The seating was comfortable & they offered plenty of space for everyone on board not to feel cramped. Once the boat takes off from port, you are able to get up and walk around to see views from all sides of the boat. Plenty of people walked out onto the front of the boat to take in the views & for the amazing photo opportunities as well. We really enjoyed the cruise, the boat ride was quite relaxing and the time flew by. We enjoyed hearing all of the facts about the lake & learning about the wildlife including the fact that sometimes you'll see the wild deer swimming in the lake to reach the islands in the middle where they will live for a short period of time. During the cruise we were able to spot plenty of ducks, seagulls and even a bald eagle. We were also to see a ton of sail boats who were out enjoying the lake that day & if you get lucky enough, you might even get to see them race. Depending on what time of the year you take a cruise, there are chances to see the wild burro, mule deer, blue herons and more. During the cruise, my son had the chance to go up to the top deck & into the captains quarters to meet the captain & was even able to use the steering wheel. He really enjoyed the opportunity. After disembarking from your trip, there is a restaurant at the marina along with a gift shop & more so there is no need to rush back home. read more

Great concept for BBQ sunset dinner cruise! The instructions were a little misleading since they don't board until 30 min before departure and there were people loading all the way up until the 6pm departure time. We followed the instructions that said to arrive no later than 5pm and ended up standing in line on the very warm/uncovered area of the dock for what felt like an eternity. The shuttle service down to the dock was very convenient and quick so we were grateful for that. The folks working on the boat were friendly, although the method of dismissing tables to then get in line for dinner was kind of annoying. We were the second to last table on the whole boat to be dismissed so by the time we got our plates in the line, the catering team from the Butcher's Block was stressed out, rude, and when my mom (who we were celebrating) asked for a second piece of sausage they told her "no, not until everyone had gone through the line." Another one of their team stated she didn't know how many more tables were left so I told her we were the second to last. That did not change her demeanor and we left the line feeling quite put off. By the time we got back upstairs to eat the boat crew made an announcement that anyone who wanted more food could come back -- but we had just sat down and that didn't seem right to let our plates go cold only to get in line for more food. By the time we finished and went back down they were pretty much out of everything - makes sense as the second to last table on an entirely full boat. As a vegetarian, I was given a spaghetti squash instead of the heaps of meat that everyone else got. It was good, but was a little difficult to eat with a plastic fork (since it had been sitting out for likely 2+ hours and was a little stale by the time it got to me). For a $90 dinner cruise a vegetarian really loses out. The meat eaters in our group said the meats were good except the brisket was a little tough (mom got almost the tail end of it, and again after it had been sitting likely 2+ hours she had a lot to complain about). I was a little bummed the one person we were celebrating did not have the best time. The boat itself was clean, and parking at the marina was convenient, with clear signs. My suggestion for the LPC team would be to change the way dinner is served for the sake of time, by having the catering team make plates for everyone and deliver them to each table, as they did with the dessert (apple cobbler was very good) and then make an announcement that anyone who would like more could get in line. Rather than everyone traipsing up and down the boat stairs they could ask that while dinner was being served, everyone would need to stay in their seats aside from the boat crew and the caterers. All in all it was a beautiful evening to be out on the water and I'm glad we gave it a shot. I got confused and thought there was going to be live music on our cruise but instead it was mostly loud wind on the water interspersed with some good Billy Joel tunes over the speakers. We mostly had to yell across the table to have a conversation so it would've been more fun to have live music. For a $360 evening for four people and less than 2 hours, it was a little steep. read more

A quest for something new to experience and to visit local destination, I planned an adventure for a 90 minute day cruise, narration cruise out at Lake Pleasant. Having lived here for over 25 years, I can't believe I haven't been here before! I've driven past the turn off so many times on trips to/from Vegas! Yesterday, 11/16/2024, the high was only 63, so I knew I had to dress in layers. It was definitely cold as the winds whip off the water at the lake! I was prepared though! We followed directions and arrived early. We parked and the shuttle arrived at the same time. Perfect timing! Brisk and exciting ride down to the harbor! There's places to rent pontoon boats and jet skis. I'm sure it's a different vibe during the summer, but I'm glad to experience it when it's not so crowded! We were greeted by Uncle Craig, a crew member, who handed us some popcorn to feed the ducks while we waited! The boat has 2 levels with indoor and outside seating! Super clean, with bathrooms on first level along with cash only concessions. Popcorn, candy, chips, sodas, water and cocktails were available! The views were amazing and relaxing. Captain Matt narrated and pointed out a herd of wild burros and some cattle too! So peaceful just listening to the water and the boats motion gently rocking! I could've fallen asleep! Was a wonderful time. The Butcher Block food was Omg good! Not just corn beef ! I don't like corn beef ever. But this corn beef left me regretting my 1/2 spoonful portion. Hands down the best corn beef hash I've ever had. The egg frittata was not greasy yet instead was fluffy, moist and bursted with flavor. Frittata is another fu fu dish I don't do. I had seconds. Outstanding experience last night on our cruise around Lake Pleasant. The staff was so friendly and efficient. We parked in the lot above the lake where a very friendly shuttle driver drove us down to the marina. Upon boarding the ship we snagged a seat on the bow of the boat inside. We were able to wander around the boat but since it was a sunset bruise we decided to dine inside. From the position of were we sat we were the first table to get our dinner at the buffet. This was Dillon's NBq night and everything was delicious. They offered pulled pork, beef and turkey. For sides we were offered corn bread, Mac and cheese and potato salad. Just a total comfort food night. Excellent flavors served jot off the grill. There was a cash bar and cookies and browneies for dessert. Excellent fun evening. Highly recommend. read more

This dinner was a birthday gift from my girls! Shout out to them!!! Lake Pleasant was about 45 mins from Mesa, where my friend lives. So, it wasn't a bad ride at all. Once you park, you have wait to be picked up by a golf cart thingy which hold about 9 people. It took about 15 mins for my friends and I to get to the deck, as they only had a few drivers transporting passengers. Once you check in, you're able to enter the boat and have a seat. The seating is first come, first serve. So, if you wanna sit on the top of the boat at a table with a nice view, get in line a little earlier. The dinner was from like 6pm-8pm. So, we rode around a little before tables we dismissed one by one to get their dinner. I can't remember what all of the options were, but my friends and I chose the BBQ Dinner. With this dinner, we had BBQ pulled pork, brisket, turkey, a roll, Mac n cheese, baked beans, and potato salad. For dinner they offered chocolate chip cookies and fudge brownies. Overall, dinner was good. I give it a 3/5 for taste. Everything was cooked well, and hot, it just wasn't all that seasoned. But, I absolutely LOVED the fudge brownie! That was def a 5/5! It's was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside! Each bite was definitely Note: THE BAR IS CASH ONLY. There's an ATM at the deck, but it charges $6!!! I only had one drink, as I'm not much of a drinker, but my friend's had a couple lol as their Well Drinks were $5 each!!! The drinks were made well. Overall, this was a fun experience with my friends. The lake was beautiful, and the ride on the boat was amazing! Not to mention, the food wasn't that bad. It was actually decent. We had such a great time and we are definitely looking forward to attending another dinner cruise! I definitely recommend event whether you're going with family, friends, or a significant other. One of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions is enjoying a gourmet holiday feast while cruising Lake Pleasant aboard the Phoenix. Lake Pleasant Cruises continues to ensure all of their guests enjoy a top tier experience! Butcher Block was chosen to cater this year's amazing onboard Thanksgiving feast! The turkey was perfectly seasoned and tender. Comparable to fine dining in a specialty restaurant, all of the accompaniments were just as flavorful! While they offered traditional cranberries, we opted for the cranberry ambrosia which was a uniquely delicious addition to what I hope is a new holiday tradition. All of this paired well with my personal favorite beverage, LPC's Huckleberry Margarita! The Phoenix also has some new upgrades that help guarantee a beautiful view while sailing in absolute comfort from anywhere on this incredible double decker boat that is truly a reflection of this family's love of cruising and their strong desire to share it with their community! The crew is consistently warm and welcoming! Any type of cruise with Lake Pleasant Cruises is worth every penny! First, we live around here and maybe it's only 3 stars for us and other people familiar with Lake Pleasant. For us, the history of the lake and other factoids were the most interesting part of the cruise. But for tourists, this would be an enjoyable activity. The boat is well maintained, the second deck views are pretty, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and Lake Pleasant itself is an oasis in our desert. We recommend it. read more

We did the brunch cruise and were very satisfied with the food, drinks and crew. They play a range of music from the 70's thru the90's and keep it low enough that you can have a normal conversation without having to shout. The food is served buffet style and they give you generous portions. The bartenders do heavy pours on the drinks and are very reasonably priced. Went here for a dinner boat cruise. The boat was nice and the breeze felt great when outside. The inside still has great views outside. Most of the staff were nice. I'd recommend starting to get in line very early (at least an hour) to get the spot that you want. The food tasted very good. My reasoning for not giving four stars is that the portions (in my opinion) were extremely small. I guess it depends on who is serving but the scoops they gave for the sides were sooo small, I only got two bites of macaroni and the other sides. It felt more like a sampler. I asked for a little more and one worker shot me the dirtiest look and ignored me. I don't need a ton of food to be satisfied but I was kind of shocked. I went to go get more food after we got off the boat because I was still hungry. Not to mention, there are no drinks included (besides some cups for water) and drinks were only available at the bar. I understand they disclose this but for the price I don't think they have enough food at all. To top it off, before our cruise was over I saw the crew packing huge trays of food easily triple the amount of food we were served. I don't want to get people in trouble and they should definitely eat but I can't help but feel they intentionally served super small so they could take home so much food. Fun but the amount was not worth the up-charge. I still think it was a good time but just be aware ahead of time it's not a lot of food and each drink is an extra cost. read more

Loved the Brunch Cruise but it would have been better if there was a DJ. The food was okay but I just enjoyed the water and it went by fast. I was insulted by the golf cart driver asking me personal questions which was very inappropriate but I chalked it up because he was an old buzzard and I didn't want to ruin my Mother's Day. They're doing the least. We went for a Valentine's Day themed dinner cruise and there was not a single decoration on the upper deck...for a holiday that comes every year. There was also an occasional sewage smell; not sure if the lower deck exhaust exits at the upper deck, but it was unpleasant. The food was unseasoned and cold. The desert was an apple pecan mush with zero crust. Furthermore, everything was served on flimsy plastic plates accompanied by fragile utensils which blew away with the slightest breeze. The music wasn't even romantic; it was classic rock. To top it all off, left and right they're suggesting to be tipped...for doing the minimum. The staff is kind and the sunset views are gorgeous...that's about it. Most I would spend on this experience is $35. read more

My wife and I revisited Lake Pleasant Cruises, a double-decked boat that provides daily cruises on Lake Pleasant in Peoria, Arizona. The last time we visited this site, the experience was less than sterling. That said, yesterday's two-hour cruise was nothing less than exceptional. The vessel had two decks. * The first deck was well air-conditioned and surrounded by windows providing a full view of the area. There were long tables with padded chairs and a tasteful centerpiece on each. The bar/snack stand and restrooms were all located on the first deck. * A sunshade covered the second deck with chairs for those who would brave the heat of Arizona. The Captain of the vessel welcomed us aboard, and as we had a reservation, our tickets were not needed. The one other crew member was both the deckhand, bartender, and hostess. That said, each of the guests was treated well, including the hostess asking if guests wanted photos of themselves (using their camera). We chose to have our picture taken on the forward deck of the boat. The Captain was on-point with his narration. He described what he should have, including information about the lake and the wildlife surrounding it. Although the wildlife was mostly not available, likely because of the 109-degree heat, when he spotted burros, he put the boat on idle and provided time for those who wanted to look at them to do so, Unlike our first trip on this vessel several years ago, this trip was delightful, and I would highly recommend it to those wanting to get away from the desert and enjoy two hours of pure relaxation on the waters of Lake Pleasant. read more

From the moment we were greeted in the parking lot by your shuttle drivers to the moment the same shuttle drivers dropped us off at out vehicles for our return back to our facility, we were greeted with the warmest smiles and deepest expressions of kindness and compassion. Every hand that we touched, every face that we saw and every smile that was exchanged made us feel welcomed and truly invited. Many companies want to think that their employees provide professional services every day. But let me assure you, your employees deserve the TITILE of PROFESSIONAL for their actions and work ethic that they displayed. And let me also note that this did not only include the boat crew but also the crew of workers that were on the docks as well. I was truly impressed that your employees cared enough about the care of our members that they made a special effort to inform us of the air horn signals before the launch of the cruise to allow us to prepare any "Noise sensitive" members prior to its occurrence. Overall, today was an extremely pleasant (no pun intended) experience and one that I hope our organization will repeat at another time. Again I want to thank you and your staff for helping make that to be possible. The weather was very nice last Saturday so I decided to take my mother out for a boat ride and lunch. We went to Lake Pleasant restaurant (Dillon' s) and took a cruise on the lake. After entering the Marina, we were pleasantly surprised to find the area clean and great costumer service from everyone that served us while there. We even got to see a few deer on one of the mountains and of course lots of party boats I wish I was on The small cruise ship has a snack bar and comfortable seats. The cruise lasts 1.5 -2 hours. The tickets are very affordable and often they offer BOGO deals. If there is anything I would change is the narration and the music (make those more entertaining) We had an overall great relaxed day read more

We had a wonderful time here, we cruised the marina and my kids got to meet the captain and steered the wheel, we were able to see wild animals and birds and the weather was perfect!
