    Free GOP Propaganda Movies
    Jessica L.

This is a great small town theater with a traditional concession stand & a few good employees. This would have been a 4 star review had the business stayed in their lane (movies). Where they lose me is with the free propaganda movie screening posters & pre movie political ads we were forced to watch. This isn't 1940's Germany & promoting the likes of Alex Jones, among others, is gross. Rich 'Good Ole Boys' chanting of the need to "take Payson back" isn't refreshing, it's alienating. A movie theater is no place for political drama. Especially if they do not want to alienate paying customers ‍ Oddly unrelated: the usher also lied to the theater about post credit scenes for the movie we watched. He told the room there were NONE & that it was time to go. There were two & we have no clue why he lied... other than to get a jumpstart on cleaning the theater.

We saw a movie here and it was great. Pretzel was fresh and tasty! Clean and friendly staff.

Employees are polite and cordial. The only reason a four star is the seats are not very comfortable.

Cute little theatre with a nice staff. Never crowded and on the inexpensive side as far as going to the movie theater is concerned.

Much cheaper to see a movie at Sawmill then in the valley. But The theater is rundown, seating totally shot. No other choice in Payson.

Many years ago this theater had wonderful, friendly employees but no longer. I decided to treat…read moremyself on August 28th for my birthday. It was the last day the theater was showing Nobody 2. I arrived a bit earlier than I expected and the man at the window informed me that I was early which wasn't a big deal. I figured I would go across the street to browse in a store. I was in the Knotty Fox for a little bit and came back across the street and noticed most of the workers were outside chit-chatting. I went inside and had my mouth set on a hot dog since I hadn't yet eaten. I was informed that they couldn't make anymore hot dogs because it would take 40 minutes before they would be ready. I had worked at the theater many years ago and unless the hot dog roller is on the fritz it does not take 40 minutes. Essentially the workers did not want to clean the machine again. So I settled for the nachos with extra cheese and jalapenos. What I received was a paper plate full of stale nachos, old looking cheese and my jalapenos. They need to bring people's food to the end where the wall is located because it was extremely inconvenient to try and get straws and napkins with other patrons reaching over trying to get their food as well. I will have to say one of the ladies was nice and helped me get more napkins when they became pushed down in the holder. It's a shame the customer service and the food has gone downhill. The theater used to be such a nice place to attend.

Management could definitely use some improvement. Would give it zero stars if I could. Save your…read moremoney and take a trip to the valley if you could.

It had been a while since I went to a theatre that was not Harkins or AMC…read more this is a nice small place, only 5 screens I believe. The prices are super reasonable, $5 for movies starting between 4pm and 5:59pm, $6 before 4pm, and $8 for adult tickets after 6pm. By the entrance, the box office is about the same as the concessions stand, we got our tickets and skipped the popcorn or drinks (I know, kind of unusual for us). Then hubby was not feeling well and I went to check if they had any milk for sale. To my surprise they did have vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry flavored milk drinks. Not exactly milk (like 18-20 carbs each) but it did help my hubby. They do have the fountain drinks machines outside the concession stand so you can get your own drink (and refills I guess). The movie we saw was in a small auditorium, did not count but maybe 80 stadium seats, wish space for wheelchairs in the first row. Everything was OK, the only inconvenience was that the door is near the screen and it is disruptive when people come and go during the movie. Ah also, the entrance is not friendly for pedestrians. We walked from a hotel nearby and there is not entrance to the parking lot by the corner, you need to go either East or South to the entrance for cars. Overall a good experience.
