A most excellent restaurant in a painfully self-conscious, converted, warehouse complex, which is worth visiting in any event for the quirky retail outlets scattered throughout. We were here with the family, including two discerning under 10s for lunch. Sahadi's did not disappoint. We allowed the locals to order for us and wave after wave of deliciousness assaulted our jaded senses. Hummus, mezze, fattoush, kabob and a cheese and charcuterie plate that was simply divine. The children practically inhaled the food, especially the cheese for some unaccountable reason. Sophisticated palates I expect. We thought there was too much food. Not a bit of it. Sahadi's is embedded in Industry City! This branch boasts a more modern and young atmosphere! With bare concrete floors, dimmed lights and glass windows it captures the Industry City feel. I like the original Sahadi's at Atlantic Avenue better though because of the neighborhood mom and pop feel. The one in Industry City has a lot of square footage. There are lots of products and you can still get Sahadi's spices. Produce was a little expensive and I could probably find less expensive and better somewhere else but they have interesting foods like the flatbreads with various spices, gourmet snacks, chips, cheeses, dried fruits, nuts and many other items. You can spend a lot of time going through the aisles. If you need a spice in a pinch, there is a large selection here! It's a nice store to check out if you are in the vicinity! My husband and I love checking out artisanal and/ or gourmet markets. This place has a variety of food items from the Mediterranean as well as gourmet cheeses. I enjoyed walking through the market looking at the spices, jams, grains, and ready to eat food items. We ended up buying this Deep Rose lemonade bottle that was $4 and ginger candy. The lemonade was fragrant and nice. I'm not to crazy about $4 price tag though. I wouldn't mind going again to see what else they have. Sahadi's has been a Brooklyn institution for decades, offering an impressive variety of groceries, and the newer Industry City location is no different. It wasn't that crowded when we went recently, allowing us plenty of time and space to peruse the aisles. In addition to the products on the shelves, they also have counters where you can choose your own olives, prepared deli items, and more. We had dropped by for lunch this time, and unfortunately, found the whole experience a little confusing. There were two prepared food counters next to each other that you could order from, and both offered bowls, but it wasn't 100% clear what the difference was in terms of what you could get. I ended up going to the deli side after someone there offered to help me, and just ordered from whatever was available there. Some of the deli items were labeled vegan, dairy-free, and wheat-free, but outside of that, it was a little difficult to find out what was in the dishes to avoid our allergens. It took 3 people to make sure it was safe for us to order the chicken, so after that, I just started picking out the things that were vegan to be safe and hoping the labels were correct. It turned out okay, but if your dietary restrictions or preferences don't fall within one of those 3 categories, it might be a little more challenging and time-consuming to order. Even though the ordering wasn't the easiest experience, all the people we encountered were friendly, and the food was delicious. We ended up getting a bowl from the deli section with za'atar chicken, jumbo white beans, and grilled vegetables, which all came on top of a base of mixed greens. I would get all of those again, either in a bowl or by the pound. We also picked up a container of baba ghanoush (so good) at the counter and a big pack of pita from the grocery section to complete our lunch. I appreciate that you're able to combine both grocery items and prepared foods to put together exactly the meal you want. While I do wish they had clearer ingredient and allergen labeling/information for the prepared foods (for all the major allergens, not just 2), we would return to try more (and of course, for the groceries). read more

I'm slightly obsessed with this place after visiting over the weekend. The selection of fresh foods, baked goods, and spices are just the icing on the cake but more than enough to get me hooked. I bought home some zaatar garlic knots.. omg delicious. And the spanakopita & samosa I ordered... wow! Seriously in love with the food here. I came here for my aunts surprise birthday dinner and I had a great time with my family but I'm disappointed in the food and the price. I specifically told the waiter that I wanted a dish with no cumin and so he recommends the shrimp but when I got it it had cumin. I also only got 4 small pieces which I didn't even eat. I finally made it to Sahadi's in Industry City. I love Middle Eastern cuisine and Sahadi's has it all. The store is big. There's so much here, it's impossible to see it all in one trip. The people in the store are very friendly. One recommended the Baba Ghanoush dip. I bought some along with a baguette. The Baba Ghanoush was mild and creamy. The baguette was excellent. I tried a few other products, everything was clean and fresh. I really enjoyed the Tabouli salad. The salad tasted as if it were freshly chopped and it wasn't oily. I felt good after eating it. This review is for our private event hosted 9/2023: Incredible experience with sahadis and the whole event team! I hosted my daughters first bday in the outdoor tent and could not have found a better place for her party. The team was quick with communication, flexible with my needs, offered great advice, found ways to be helpful prior to the day. Kaitlyn was so easy to work with and helped guide me to create the food and drink menu. The day of the party, we had an hour to set up the venue and the staff was so quick to offer help- they sat with my family members to put things together, moved things around as I needed, and were able to pivot easily for some last minute changes and make it work for the party. Prince was beyond amazing the day of the party- he was so kind and thoughtful throughout the day, made sure I didnt need anything, sought me out periodically throughout the party to ensure all was going well, and had a wonderful, positive demeanor. You cannot go wrong hosting a party here- the venue is gorgeous, you already know the food is amazing, and the team is SO helpful. So I eat here frequently because I work in industry city but I'm a creature of habit so once I find something good I'll stick to it but luckily they have a lot of options to take out from their little deli area that I have had the opportunity to taste more than typical with their combo deal where you can get a protein (and vegetarian options!) and 2 sides from their deli so I like to get their frittata which is so delicious and I've tried the beet salad- nice and refreshing, the artichokes- better than I've ever had artichokes that aren't drenched in butter, the spinach- perfect balance of garlic, the cucumber feta salad- so fresh and crispy, the harissa carrots- so flavorful, and more. It comes over a bed of mixed greens. You can get Fish for a couple dollars more. The chef is super nice- he's helped me when the staff are busy and he really takes pride in his work which he should because its really yummy. Also the focaccia- yum yum. yum! Its also a little grocery store with some nice options both local and specialty from overseas since they're I think a Lebanese family the Sahadis. I like Sahadi's. They have a lot of Mediterranean goods. I love getting their dried fruits; it can get expensive since it's by weight, but there are also much choices AND you can sample it before you buy it. I also like their cooked food section which has different pies, baklava and etc... I really wanted to try their fresh homemade pita bread, so that will be my next visit item. They have a lot of different snacks and drinks too. They also usually have some sales item by the register. The shop is well lit and clean. Amazing products & good service. We bought the blue jay cheese after having a sample with their multigrain flatbread that was also phenomenal. Then he gave me a sampling of Maytag blue- omg. I love the tiny beads Of what looks like seaweed salt embedded even more! So the Maytag goes in strong and finishes creamy smooth vs the blue bay- goes in smooth and funky finish. You can't go wrong with either subtle delish blue cheese honestly. Maytag- we will be back for you. I love Sahadi's so very, very much. I live near the original location, and I am in there at LEAST once a week. At any given time, there are 3-6 items from Sahadi's in my refrigerator. The amount of money I've spent there essentially makes me an investor (don't bother explaining all the ways that statement is wrong), so I'm happy they've expanded into Industry City. It's going to expose a new neighborhood to the amazingness of their bulk products, olives, condiments, prepared foods, cheese (the best prices!) and more. Plus, they've got a Saj Sandwich Bar here, which is pretty exciting, and I'm a little envious it doesn't exist on Atlantic Ave. The only thing I want to change about the new shop here is the containers in which they are packaging their hummus and babaghanouj (both excellent), etc. Instead of the high-quality, reusable plastic half-pint, pint, and quart containers, they are using brown, recyclable cardboard-esque ones. Don't get me wrong, I love the environment. I hug trees on a regular basis, and want to eliminate plastics where possible. But I re-use the pint containers over and over and over, and the new brown ones suck all the moisture out of the delicious hummus, rendering the hummus less tasty, and I imagine the container tough to recycle. Other than that, more Sahadi's is good for everyone. Glad they're here. read more

I love Sahadi's but this location sucks. It's shiny and fancy but they were sold out of/ didn't have anything I actually went in for. I grabbed a few things anyway since there's always something new to try. I decided to get something from the deli counter, and asked about a spread I was looking for, and not one but TWO employees had no idea what I was talking about. I ended up just getting some moussaka to take home, and when I went to check out I realized that the sticker they put on it was for a different item that was more expensive. When I told the cashier, he said sorry he should've made sure that the item was correct, but offered no resolution beyond that. I said I thought it wasn't just a different item but a different price, he said "yeah it's been a long day and everyone's kinda checked out..." WHAT?!?!!! What the hell am I supposed to do with that information??? I just couldn't be bothered to do their jobs for them anymore so I walked out having overpaid for my dinner. I don't know what's going on here but the management needs to do a better job of training the employees. 0 for 3. I'll be shopping only at the Atlantic Ave store from now on. read more

Not my favorite supermarket. The place is cramp and feels dis organized. The fresh produce selection is smaller than other Asian markets. Sometimes they have good sales. Their parking lot is very tight and aways jammed up; many close call for accidents. I do like the bakery _ cafe in the front of the store. read more

This shop appeared on my radar as their business had been purchasing many gourmet items from a food manufacturer I worked for. That being the case, once a store was opened, I expected quality and many products I have never seen before, and I was not disappointed. In this visit I was just browsing and came across their selection for pickled olives, peppers and garlic. The garlic was the only item a little off because I expected it to be pickled and it was done another way. Aside from that, the olives, the peppers, amazing, delicious, good quality. Even for those whom can't handle heat, you have to taste just to understand how good a good pepper can be. Outside of that, I was fascinated by the selection of herbs, powders and seasonings. The selection ranged from the delicious among many flavor palettes to exotic to medicinal. They also serve food here as well, more specifically there is beef swarma dish I will have to return and most likely update this review for. Even still, it doesn't get much better than 5 stars. I love Sahadi's! The market has so many different Middle Eastern ingredients that you can't get at a regular grocery store. There's also a bar, deli, and wrap/salad station. They make the saj bread fresh and you can watch them make it from scratch. I ordered a lamb wrap. You pick either wrap or salad, choice of protein (falafel, chicken, lamb, salmon), 3 different vegetables, and choice of dressing. I chose lamb, cauliflower, pickled radishes, roasted red peppers, and tzitzki sauce. They can cut the wrap in half if you request it. The wrap was huge. I could probably eat half and that would be enough for me. There's a large seating area outside under a tent and indoor seating as well. Service was very friendly and fast. Second time going here on Friday for the outdoor vibe and salsa band. While the band is good, the food and drinks (not so much) I made reservations for 8 of us, however when we all got there they reserved our table for other people (Who never showed up) we had to flag down the waiters all night for service on the outside of the tarp area. However they still charged as if we had a table, meanwhile we had to squeeze into a small booth. After eating, 4 of us got very sick! This is the second time the drinks make me and others sick! On my sprint to the beautiful, extensive cheese section, I saw some other rare finds like Clotted Cream, pomegranate soda, and Steve's Key Lime pie (from Red Hook) in the aisles. This location is excellent. We had a variety of goat cheeses with bread. We took it outdoors, and also had a heavy pour of wine and spread of dips with pita from their menu. I don't think there's a "basic" item in their store - all of it seems uniquely delicious. My one gripe was that they ran out of dark roast coffee beans. Oh well. read more

I come here pretty often. And during rona era, it's not as busy anymore in the physical location. They do have a lot of online fulfillment. The place is very big. You will find fresh veggie, nut, spices, drink mix and fresh to go food. I love the pita bread and hummus combo. Lunch time is not busy when I come by and you should definitely try their fresh made lunch here. I am always amazed by their selection of cheese. They can be a bit expensive but I agree it's different quality you are paying for. They can really use a little less plastic bag for my lunch. It's already wrap in paper and I am eating outside. Sahadi's new grocery store is located inside BLDG 4 behind Japan Village on 35th Street. It's beautifully done with a variety of imported European goodies. There's fresh produce, bulk bins of coffee, nuts, and grains, a lot of cheeeeese, and plenty of olive oils, sauces, vinegars, spices, and even french sodas. I've been waiting for Sahadi's to open here and it does not disappoint! The grocery section is reasonably priced for an IC store and the only downside is the hours - they close at 5! So they have regular office hours, but that hardly allows any potential time for after work shopping. The grocery section is fantastic, but the lunch counter was quite disappointing. I really wanted to like the new options and so far I've only tried one dish - a falafel freekeh and I. Love. Falafels. The freekeh had a nice bite and the salad toppings were fresh, but the falafel was extremely salty and so hard to eat. I had to throw my lunch away midway as it started to ruin my taste buds. I'm hoping it was an off batch. I'd give it a second try or try their other options. I'm still glad they finally opened as it was an overall lovely experience. read more

The dry good groceries section has a great selection of high end cooking wants and needs of many international foods and flavors while the fresh goods definitely steer more towards Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern. Good drink selection too. They also have a bar in the store. I ordered the falafel sandwich which came on a freshly baked (in front of you) lafa bread.
