I couldn't believe there wasn't a yelp page for this place as I loved it! I received a flyer coming out of the BOB and right away wanted to go as I was in for the weekend. I couldn't find it on yelp and that's always my go to, but took the chance anyway and so glad we did! Nice casual atmosphere couches and tables both, really inexpensive prices start at $13 all in although it's not BYOB which I'm used to at home. Overall, a nice place with decent hookah's considering it's Michigan! Walking distance from JW Marriott and Amway Grand. The only downside is that you have to smoke indoors with no access to fresh air. If the place is packed, you are likely to get some headache afterwards. The don't have dates, baghlava or such sweets. This place is great. They have great service and their hookahs are quality and decently priced. Also, they have a Happy Hour from 5-8 at which point they have 25% off their hookahs. When you go try Blueberry Muffin from Fumari, its amazing as is all of the fumari tobacco. read more

As an avid hookah aficionado, I was immediately drawn to the large and very diverse selection of Shisha to purchase and smoke, the staff is professional, knowledgable, and friendly. The seating areas are wonderful, plush couches, designed to enjoy a casual smoke with friends, while being open, allowing for conversation between other groups. During the week days, it's a wonderful place to relax, smoke, and do other things, like read and do homework. During the weekends, it's a great place to relax, mingle, and make friends. One of my favorite seating areas is the fire place, which is great for sitting around with hot tea during the winters. On top of all this, although you can't buy cooked food here, the location is very centralized to a number of wonderful food establishments, many of which are happy to deliver. Overall, I would absolutely recommend the Sahara Hookah Lounge to anyone looking for a great night on the town. read more

First off, the atmosphere is cheesy. Terrible baskets of fake flowers and fake plants all over the place. But at least there is lot of space and comfy couches. The services was terrible. The server didn't even know the menu and brought us our bill right after our hookah was delivered. She has us sign the bill right in front of her, she made it very awkward. The hookah had good flavor for the first two draws but became very harsh very fast. After a very long long time the server finally came around to check coals. With Sahara, I am confident in saying that this is one of the better, if not best, lounges I have been to. Why is that? I will tell you in bullet form. - Conveniently located downtown: You can take a number of buses to this location for cheap (free for students. Not keen on public transit? You can walk from just about anywhere downtown to this location. -Atmosphere: It's a large facility, with a smooth lighting ambiance that adjusts with evening hours. It really sets the mood for relaxation if you choose to smoke on your own OR if in a group, it harbors a social setting. They also play some chill music, where you can request a song, artist, or playlist with no charge! -Wait staff and Management: The employees here are great and superb with service. They are not only knowledgable in anything hookah/shisha related, they are very friendly! You have a problem with a hookah? You tell them and they will fix it right away. -Prices: They offer many hookahs, from a basic single hose to double hoses, and specialty hookahs. I go for the cheap happy hour hookah starting at $12.95. Can't beat that! Hours: They are open from 4:00pm to 2:00am on weekends, depending how busy they are and up to 4:00am on weekends. Cleanliness: Super clean all the time. -Punch card: After 10 visits, you get one hookah free! There is one iffy point - Parking: Available in a lot that you need to pay for BUT you can get your parking ticket validated and you can find free parking after 6:00pm at parking meters.
